Surprisingly, I woke before my alarm. I slipped out of bed, noticing how filthy my feet were, which meant my nightdress and bedding were a mess too. I threw on a dressing gown and slipped across to the bathroom without rousing anyone. The shower would wake Mum, but there wasn’t much I could do about that.

With me thoroughly cleansed, I bundled up my nighty and headed back to my room wearing just my dressing gown. Mum appeared just as I closed the door, so I paused long enough to smile good morning to her.

“Are you certain this is the right path?”

Two figures crept down a narrow underground passageway, shoes slipping across shallow puddles lining the curved concrete floor. Their coats, one jet black and the other a lighter brown, flickered in the weak light offered only by a white crystal held forward by the taller and much darker-skinned man.

“They didn’t provide a map, Callas. I told you the same instructions they told me, and your memory is as perfect as mine. If you think we’ve misapplied the sequence, you should’ve spoken up.”

“Hmm.”

Here is the next part of Seanna's story. Be warned, there is a bit of foul language in this part.

The board room bit with the seven elder Ramsays is a flashback event of sorts, meant to round out things somewhat. It also shows that they aren't truly evil, just too interested in doing and getting what they want that they just didn't think. Now it's all coming home to roost.

I decided to copy and paste the part about the result of the news report about the newborn from For The Love Of The Children: Part 1.

"Lily!" Katie yells I can barely hear her, the boat's motor is very loud, I scoot closer to her.

"What?" I ask at a normal volume.

"What were you and Bob talking about?" She asks, eager for the nonexistent juicy details.

"Nothing, I think I overreacted, we both acted normally I think we're friends," I say, hopefully JUST friends.

I look over to Bob. He is standing up, fighting the wind, next to Dad pointing him in the right direction. They look like a father and a son, a much better son than I ever was, or am.
