I have been a member at Big Closet Topshelf for exactly four years today. I find it ironic that I just removed all my stories and want to cancel my account on this day and didn't even realize what it was. To all of you I want to say have a good life even those of you who identify as Transgender. Personally I'm just sick of the Whole Transgender thing and feeling like I'm being swallowed up by it against my will.

Should the word transgender really be used as an identity?

I am one of a growing number that are unhappy with the use of the word transgender. For me it isn't really about a dislike for other marginalized groups it is instead about a sense of identity. The word is supposed to be an umbrella term that covers diverse groups but in its current usage I think really does all groups involved harm. I think it loses it message and pushes others out that the word was originally meant to include like crossdressers. Speaking of those marginalized groups where are they in the supposedly large LGBT and Transgender groups?

I can't believe that I finally got to the point where I can say I transitioned a month ago.Christmas Eve I gave myself my transition as a Christmas gift. I hadn't planned it in fact I was going to transition over spring break after I had obtained a legal name change.I went to my therapist the day before and she said why don't you just transition? So I asked myself why don't I just transition?

My muse is calling out, will you want to read what it wants me to write?

A couple years ago I wrote a very short story about how a Christian parent and her friend were discussing the suicide of her child "Jimmy." The story was called it worked out for the best and was deliberately dark short and to the point.I was in a very low point in my life little did I know it would get worse but I'm still here and don't plan on going anywhere for a while. Here's the thing I'm thinking I should bookend the story with a short story from jimmy's perspective about how he feels and what drives him to commit suicide.I know for me it will take me back down that dark and ugly road bu

I'm thinking about deleting "Hell Yeah it Hurts" I don't have the time to finish it now or in the foreseeable future.I don't like starting to read a story to find it unfinished myself. On the plus side it is near and dear to my heart so I would like to eventually finish it and repost it.I'm in college now working my way through English Comp 1 this semester and Comp2 next one.So when I finally get back to work on it there should be a vast improvement in how its written.I would like to thank to all who've read and left comments on it my apologys for leaving you without an ending and your feedba

When I think of British Teas Earl Grey or English Breakfast are the ones I think of.Today I was shopping at a local closeout store and spotted P&G tea.On the box they claim they are the most popular Tea in England. So I was wondering if that claim was true.I won't say it was the best tea I ever drank but it was a far cry from the worst.Amy

I have another idea for a story I'd like to right but I'm thinking about doing an outline first.I'm thinking about choosing the story name, where i'd like it to go and what I'd like each chapter to accomplish and potential names for the chapters first then write it.For "Hell Yeah it hurts" I just thought up the premise and have been winging it ever since.Has anyone else outlined there story first

A question for authors

I have an idea for a book based on "it worked out for the best".A book composed of real life and fiction with poems or musings and written by different authors. The common theme is it worked out for the best and of course ending in a way that really wasn't the best. It's about showing how we see things that others may view as harmless and in some cases what some may find good and how they effect u

Boiled dinner

Gabi we use a medium to large ham, turnips, cabbage, onions, carrots, potatoes and parsnips.Boil it all together in a large pot then serve it with white or cider vinegar on the side for use on the veggies. Is there something similiar to this served there? Here is a wiki link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_England_boiled_dinner

A short time out

I will be taking hopefully a short time out from writing another chapter of Hell Yeah it hurt.I'm just in the beginning stages of out lining what I hope to be a 7500 or less word historically correct Tg short story for this months contest. If all goes well I think it will be an educational and fun read.Amy
