well Maddy this week!

So last night I dreamed I was back and school, and even though I was doing okay in class, I felt like there was a barrier between me and the other students, one I could see through, but could never cross. I would never truly connect with them, nor they with me.

That's pretty much how I felt in real life too - and I still struggle with feeling like that today.

I don't know about you but it takes me a few days to settle after a trip away and this week has been no different!

I just ran out of time. I was out dormousing much of the day and I fell asleep and didn't wake in time to finish writing. I'm trying to continue my latest serial and also working on a new short story. I may do some more tomorrow but no promises, I am quite tired and have a busy week in prospect.

So I looked at my account this morning, and realized I had actually missed my 16th anniversary of being a member of Big Closet.

Boy, its been a busy 16 years!

but besides the changes I have undergone since, one thing remains - this place is a big part of my life, and I continue to be grateful to Erin and her elves who keep this place running.

I don't know where it came from. I suppose I could have ordered it from Amazon... I wanted to make this quick, humorous note before I go out for some chips, burger and root beer float.

Here is a very interesting comparison between Europe and USA regarding employee protection, and whether big corporations are engaging in modern day slavery and/or worker exploitation. I have previously seen some individual reporting regarding these corporations, and how they are running afoul of European legislation.

So, I've been offline for a while, and I acknowledge that. To answer the two most obvious questions: yes, I'm still writing, and no, I've not been 100% okay.

Today I glanced at my profile and realized something that stopped me cold: it’s been over fourteen years since I first joined this site. Fourteen years — and change — of writing fiction, most of it revolving around one central, complicated thing: gender.

Man, I feel old.

Chapter 15 should be completed this week.

Hi everyone. I am back on here. I wanted you to know that I finally wrote the last chapter of a life of Riley. I apologize for taking so long but I have been going through some stuff I cannot mention here. If there is one thing I learned while writing this story is that when writing a multi chapter story make sure that all the parts are done and edited before you publish any parts.

"The life of Riley" and its prequel "The beginning" were not planned as a multi chapter story. It just happened this way as I was writing it and I was making my first steps on here.

Just saw on CNN that Robert De Niro's Son has come out as MTF Trans. "I don't know what the big deal is?" He said. Don't we all wish for that kind of support.

Former judge Dr Victoria McCloud is planning to challenge the UK Supreme Court ruling at the European Court of Human Rights because she like many of us feel it impinges on her freedom and human rights. I support her and wish her well. It annoys me that the government could pass an act and then completely renege on it after twenty years of it sort of working, so they have very seriously affected my human rights and yet still take taxes off me. I would not pee on this government if it caught fire.

I just wanted to reassure people that I haven't completely given up on "I accepted magic to fight evil and it turned me into a girl, but I don’t think I really mind?", but I've been suffering writer's block. I do have an outline, but I've been having trouble fleshing it out. I made lots of progress when it was a hyperfixation and my ADHD was newly medicated, but now I can't seem to focus on it. I'm going to try to build up a buffer of a few chapters before I start posting again, but that could take quite some time. I guess what I'm saying is, don't wait up, but it will happen eventually.

I read in the online Guardian that a fashion designer called Connor Ives concluded a February runway show with a tee shirt with the message 'Protect the Dolls' on it. The article says that 'dolls' is an affection term for trans women used by the LGBTIQ community. Perhaps I've been on another planet but I've never heard of it - has anyone else? Apparently the tee shirts are selling like the proverbial hot cakes which I guess can't do any harm.

Two men were arguing loudly on the Street Car and I'd had enough. I turned to the one sitting by me, who was the loudest and said to him, "Take it back a notch will you". He turned to me and got right IN my face and said "Why don't you hit me?" So I gave him an elbow in the face and he started squawking like a little girl. The driver said for us to get off the train and I did. The one who caused the problem was fighting with the driver when I left.

Several weeks ago, I added a quote to my signature line here; a quote which I remembered from my youth. A few people have inquired as to the origin of the quote, so I felt the need to explain it.

I was raised as a Lutheran - the church of my mother’s family, something for which I give thanks regularly. My father’s family were Baptists, and I give thanks that I was NOT raised in that church! It has been my experience that all churches have their share of hypocrites, but the percentage amongst the Baptists seems to be considerably higher, as does the number of assholes.

This author is Zing Tsjeng writing an opinion piece in the i paper, she points out the victory claimed by feminist activists is pyrrhic and doesn't see the greater picture. Activists on both sides do more damage than good and the bigger picture should show cis gender and trans women joining together to halt the danger to women of all types, shapes and sizes from male predators. Trans women aren't a risk to other women but macho men may be. Let's get rid of institutional misogyny and protect all women and girls, trans variety too.

And first, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter. It is a beautiful day here, and we will be having dinner with all of children and their spouses. I hope that those who read this are having as good of an Easter as I am.

Due to the activity that I can no longer escape from here with the expressing of negative opinions on an hourly basis, for my sanity, I am leaving.
It is no longer safe for me to view the blogs and comments being exposed to me. I have to leave BCTS.

After seeing and hearing so much hate and gloating on the TV and radio (mostly from women), I'm wondering how they think they will enforce this ruling.

I understand they think it is unfair to female athletes,. I understand that it will stop fully intact perverts going into open female changing rooms exposing themselves and claiming to be trans. Or sick rapist claiming to be trans trying to get into female prisons. Some idiots were using trans as a shield to their disgusting behavior. It was probably things like this that created such a backlash.

While I am not overjoyed by the recent swarm of political blogs on BC, I understand that these are interesting times and people need to express their feelings and thoughts about matters of utmost importance to our community and indeed to the wider political realities.

Threads that involve name-calling may be removed, or demoted from the front page but no one is in danger of being suspended or banned for their posted content. This is vital and we need each other.

Been a rough couple of days, struggling with PTSD, Dysphoria, and worrying about my family as my mom has been struggling lately, and we still don't know what is going on with my brother.

Anyway, I am accepting hugs and prayers, if you want to send them my way.

There's a lot of excellent stories there and it would be a shame if they were adrift and going towards Limbo.
Is there a plan to fix whatever issue is causing a problem??

I am very sad to see that the UK supreme court is antitransgender and that that well known overpaid hack, JKRowling has funded this discriminatory finding that will set back transgender rights in the UK for a generation. It shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what transgender is about. Seeing as the current research suggests we are affected before birth should that have the same definition as cisgendered females. This is political with morons like Rowling not seeing the bigger picture.

That I saw some time back - The American President. In it, Michael Douglas stars as the President of the United States. His character is a widower with a teenage daughter, his wife having died during his campaign. The movie also stars Annette Benning as a professional lobbyist who is hired by an organization to push an environmental bill.

Just saw on CNN, Saturday 4/12/25... They are reporting the disappearance of some of those who disagree with Trump. I know that there are Thousands or even Millions of demonstrators so this seems implausible. I am just waiting to see what develops and keeping my head down for now.
