So, this is killing me. I've written almost 40,000 words and twenty chapters of the book and I'm dying to get some feedback. But posting it here didn't go so well.

I've thought of simply sending out a PDF of the rough draft to some readers interested in just reading. No proofing or editing, just a read through for some feedback.

Does that work for anyone?

Proof/support readthrough

I have read the saga so far, and would be glad to give it a look. It might be easier to absorb in one go, instead of serialized. That might be why you haven’t gotten the desired feedback to date.

Private Author to Author TG Genre Fiction Feedback Group

  • It could use Google Docs to host the author submissions
  • It could use a private discord server for feedback and community posts
  • Each author could submit a document for feedback and it go into a queue to be the weekly document for feedback
  • All authors would agree to give feedback on each weekly document in exchange for feedback on their document
  • After their document had feedback then they could submit a new one
  • Feedback would be kept private and not used for external promotion of the document in any way.
  • Documents which had been perfected via the feedback group might be better received on BCTS and gain more reader comments

    This suggestion should be perfected by consensus. Since this is off mission for BCTS, if a consensus were reached, one of the authors founding the group who is trusted by the group could set up the infrastructure needed for the group to operate.
