Okay, I have had to change things around, just a little. (1) I am extending the Entry submission dates through December 21, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time! (2) Voting will occur from Sunday December 22, 2024 - Saturday December 28, 2024. (3) The Winner's announcement will be posted on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
This is a much more realistic timetable for everyone involved including myself. It makes more sense to me!
So please use this time for your entries and voting will be here before you know it!
Entry Submission Dates are from now July 31, 2024 through December 21, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time!
Prizes currently are
1 x $200, 2 x $150, and 16 x $100 USD paypalled. Prizes are subject to go up depending on if donations assist :) .
With the world descending into hate and violence against us, let us instead focus and shift our energies to help ascend us out of this violence and hatred.
On February 3, I will send out the last of the Christmas contest payouts! I can hardly believe I have made it this far. But I am done, I have a clear conscious that I did things the best way possible and can go.
Thank you all for having me stick around while I could. I am trying real hard to finish posting up for Clara too! She is my last pulled author from elsewhere. Someone else is going to have to take over for me.
I am looking for a html copy of Trivial Consequence- Part 1. Part 2 shows up in the wayback machine, but part 1 was blocked for whatever reason. Stacy's stories are scrubbed over at FM on the wayback as well :/ SO I am hoping against hope someone saved the page somewhere and might be able to send me a copy?
The story was only up for a few days in march of 2018 before she deleted everything from everywhere.
I could have sworn that I had posted Bebe: A Disney Wedding - Day 2 / Epilogue up already. I looked and looked and couldn't find it. So I went back, dug it back up and here it is now.
Does anyone know if author Bailey Summers is alive or not? The last posting from Bailey we have is a story named Vows dated 2023/05/30 - 8:21pm. No contact since. I am worried :*(
Please click on the story links to read any entries that you haven't yet.
Okay, This SUCKS! The pollmaker thingy will NOT allow me to make a multiple choice vote WITHOUT a pay plan. The first one was free. I used that up in the last contest. YIKES!
I am really irritated it requires a pay plan. I wanted free for everyone. Oh well :*(
Okay for this vote then, simply PM me with a header Christmas Contest and select your 10 favorite stories and PM me, Sephrena Miller.
Voting will occur from Sunday December 22, 2024 - Saturday December 28, 2024. The Winner's announcement will be posted on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
We were just informed by Enemyoffun's brother in Discord that Enemyoffun's appendix had burst and he is in the ICU. That is all we know of at the moment. Please pray for him.
Edit: He is possibly out of surgery. Still awaiting an update from his brother.
Looks like Matthew aka "Enemy" will be spending some time there over Christmas. I'll see about the gift shop tomorrow to send him a stuffed animal. BCTS doesn't forget its authors. :)
Tonight is the last night of the Christmas Contest! You have until tonight, December 21, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time to post your entries! I will list all of the current participants in our contest, Here are the totals so far:
Emma has gone missing since posting Pretend Princess Chapter 16 on December 1, 2024. She lives in Nigeria and shortly after that posted Nigeria had a Muslim insurgency that kidnapped a bunch of women again. I am worried for her. :(
Has anyone heard from her? her title here is cemma2035.
... and my blood pressure, ekg, and arteries were doing great. I have been dropped from 92% clogged down to 90%. That still isn't good but shows that my heart medicines are barely keeping me going. I suppose that is good. The bad news is that the drugs that I am on cannot nibble away at the hardened plaque inside my arteries. That's a bummer.
Okay, this is a last minute spring. For the 25th anniversary contest, you have until Friday, November 22, 2024 at 3pm Pacific Standard Time to turn in a fictional story entry showing your beliefs in a story of what BigCloset TopShelf means to you personally. Has it saved your life? How so? And showcase those beliefs into a beautifully written story for us. Story length has to be of at least 5,000 words. The single prize is $75. That's it!
There are only 20 days left in December and a few from here before the contest closes on December 20th, 2024. I have been tossing out past Christmas stories daily in the hopes it might inspire some thought for an entry. I have begged for entries, shown potential entries and entries from the past with the BigCloset Retro Classic Christmas Specials.
Due to some mounting Bills, the fact that I broke my foot tonight, I HAVE to reduce the Prize amounts of the Christmas Contest down from $2100 to $1200. The amount will only affect the number of 3rd place winners! If I live any longer the remainder will go to Bigcloset as I get it. I have never had to do this before in my entire history of doing contests here, but I must now do this. I am cash strapped to the max :*(
The contest officially ended on Friday morning Eastern time at 3 am / midnight Thursday Pacific time. I went ahead and added Su Shi's and Marianne G's Late entries to the list and voting module, but a ton of people have already voted :/ I am hoping that for my Christmas contest you will enter earlier perhaps? To let people vote on your entries? I thought I had written the rules clearly :(
I am crossing my fingers and hoping for both of you.
PB, whom way back in 2008 posted Notes of a Journey Trilogy over on Maddy Belle's site, has had their pages here on BCTS recently updated to reflect that their sales, no longer with LULU.com, are now with Amazon.com! I had to redo every page! ><
You know, since I began here at BCTS, I have seen a gradual changeover of the readership. It's in the tastes of the types of fiction that they like. We went from one day being a site that had readers starved for fiction, to one where now something barely even gets read much less commented on.
I have to say, the lack of entries so far has broken my heart. :( I cannot try any harder to get any entries. For my December contest, I only have 1 entry. If it stays like that, might have it clear all $2100 of the prize money :/
Google is now phasing out Manifest V2 support from Chrome and V3Manifest support will be even less. I am for abandoning Chrome before then forever since it seems to be focused to force ads onto your pc.
All script and ad blockers will cease working before November.
