First Place $200 I Was a Teenage Pick Up Girl by Enemyoffun Finley's old sister likes to use him as a subject for her beauty school makeup projects. He has fair skin and soft features. He never fully complains because he knows only a few people will ever see him that way. That is until he's late for work and there's no time to take it off, so he rushes to the bus stop. There he's spotted by a visiting teenage Hollywood heartthrob who wants Finley to become his fake "girlfriend" fix his bad image and to make his ex jealous. The plan doesn't go too well for either of them. |

Second Place: $100 The Lunch Club by Melanie Brown “Hey Tony!” I turned to look at the source of the voice. It was Candace, a girl I know from high school. She was with her two besties, Harper and Chloe. “Hey guys. What’s up?” The group stopped walking to turn towards me. Candace, who hates being called Candy, grinned and said, “We’re headed for lunch. Wanna come?” There were three eating places in The Great River Basin strip mall. There was Café 44, which mainly catered to people of the female persuasion although it did offer a Korean BBQ menu, Whataburger and The Lunch Bucket, what my Dad calls a greasy spoon, which catered to the blue collar crowd. It wasn’t hard to guess where they were going. |

Second Place: $100 Jasmine in Bloom by Almost Lisa The cafeteria was buzzing with sound, as usual. Clanking metal flatware and clacking plastic trays mixed with the hum of conversation and the frequent echoes of laughter. Jeremy Joad, sitting all alone at the broken table in the far corner, didn’t hear any of it. His cheap earbuds blasting heavy metal music from his ten-year-old Android phone drowned out the world. He picked at his bland meal, hoping to survive another day. |

Second Place: $100 Happiness is a Warm Hound Chapters 1 - 5 by Steph C. I always avoided the first part of the hill when the weather was likely to produce mud, which meant the whole of January and most of February in practice. It wasn’t the mud on the path itself, for that was why wellies existed, but the immense quantity my dogs would collect. They’re not exactly my dogs, of course, so mud meant cleaning them off before returning them to their ‘real’ owners, and I rather liked having some ‘me time’ each day and enough hot water for a bath for myself rather than two or three mud-magnet hounds. |

Second Place: $100 System Quest: Ultimate Love by Jo Dora Webster Will Jamie, reborn as Lyria, overcome all the quests to make her dying wish come true? |

Third Place: $50 Working Clothes by Columbine Billy came to live with them when all the work that could be done had been done to their living space. He and Raven were almost identical in age and seemed to treat each other as twin brothers, and were inseparable. Peter seemed to manage being a house husband balancing his work with caring duties. When Jill got home she would take over bed time and allow Peter some more work time. Family life is made of routines. Trips out to see the ducks the pond in the park in a double buggy, gave way to play parks, and then to theme parks and so on. The boys were supported by three parents and whilst they were very clear about whose mother was whose, the absence of Billy’s father meant that both boys called Peter … Dad. |

Third Place: $50 Spin First,Think Later by Aylesea The front doors of my high school have twenty-six steps leading up to them. There is a wheelchair ramp, but no one is supposed to use it unless needed. So, it is a physical and mental workout just to get to school. Physical due to the steps and mental for the dark thoughts that it is a long way down if you trip on a shoelace or if you’re like me, just a master of clumsiness. I attended Lincoln High School, student population, 42-squared. It was like a small city in itself with five four-story buildings connected to a larger building in the front through multiple halls. They should have had maps that read “you are here.” |

Okay all! It has been real! I really really am now on my way out the door to New Earth. This is not delusional, It is a fact. I had to finish this very last Contest myself to clear up any attachments and have said my last goodbyes to all of you. New Earth is not just a destination, it's humanity's future. You too can come here as well. The key is to look inward and also to the Prime Creator. Between those two things you too can come on up!
This last picture below should give you an idea as to who I really am.

For giving us one last great contest before you go. We had some really great entries this time, from familiar faces and new arrivals and I'm a little surprised that I won so thanks to everyone who voted for my entry. Thanks as well to all the other entrants for some great stories, I can definitely say that we're all winners here, especially the readers.

Thank you for everything!
Once again, the readers are the winners--what a fun contest! I'm sorry I couldn't pull an entry together in time, but I got as far as outlining a fun idea, so I'll try to make a point to finish that one next. Thanks so much for pulling this together, Sephrena--you and your efforts are very much appreciated!
