Patrick Dale Kaneko

Patrick Dale Kaneko (aka Edeyn Hannah Blackeney) of State College, Pennsylvania, formerly of Cassville, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, in Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.

He was born in Wichita, Kansas, August 11, 1975, the son of Robert “Bob” and Eupha Rose (Lakey) Kaneko.

He is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Baas of Melbourne, Australia; mother, Eupha Galyen of Dodge City, Kansas; father, Bob Kaneko of Lanikai, Hawaii, sister, Summer Galdamez and her husband, Luis of Dodge City, Kansas; half brother, Liwai Kaneko of Hawaii; step-sister, Mary Galyen of Seligman, Missouri; nephews, Christian Galdamez and Luis Galdamez Jr. both of Dodge City, Kansas and niece, Isabella Galdamez of Dodge City, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, John Galyen (2006) and his brother, Michael Galyen (2007).

Patrick graduated with honors from Cassville High School with the class of 1994. He was salutatorian. He continued his education at Missouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla, Missouri and took online courses as well. He moved to State College, Pennsylvania, where he worked as a sandwich artist for Subway. He enjoyed his job, meeting new people, writing short stories, reading, making people laugh, juggling and telling stories to his many friends from all over. Patrick loved spending time with his fiancée, whom he loved very much. They had planned to make Australia their future home after they were married. He/She will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M, Saturday, February 16, 2013, in First Assembly Of God Church, Cassville, Missouri. Reverend Robert Day will conduct the services.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri.
