TopShelf's
December 2010
Santa's Helper
Story Contest

The Christmas present from me to all of our authors who entered is that
there will be 3 prizes of $25 - one each for the top 3 entries!

Please read and vote on our author's submissions here with Kudos until December 31, 2010.
The Big Holiday Revelation Night to find the winning entries, is on Jan 1, 2011!

The theme this year will focus on a helper to Santa. This could be in the form of one of Santa's elves, a reindeer, a family member, space alien, time traveler, anything or anyone performing an act of kindness in the spirit of Christmas in much the same way Santa himself would. The story focus is about the helper of Santa. Using the helper in the background while focusing on the intent is permitted. Stories can be of any size but must include the main character or the focus of the intent onto a character that is any of the LGBIT.
Be creative, try new ideas. Explore possibilities and new ways of writing when you create your submission. And remember, when writing for our contest, write first and foremost for yourself. You the author are the first intended audience to your imagination. Conjure it forth, give the images substance and breathe the magic of life into your words ^^. In the words of Hermie, "It's so simple... even a... Dentist... can do it!" rudolph.jpg
I am going to have to be strict with the Contest dates because Erin has a contest coming up in January right behind this one.

There is a single Prize of $25 for the story with the most Kudos.

Oops! And before I forget, please remember to label your submission(s) with the December 2010 Santa's Helper Story Contest tag located in the contest selector in the +fiction page for your submission! You may submit as many entries as you like, but only 1 story can win. So the earlier its submitted, the more time it has to garner kudos!

So have at it, have fun...

and I hope that you and your loved ones have a very Merry Christmas!

To give a little taste of such stories, I shamelessly promote - The Nick of Time, by Randalynn. Santa's helper indeed! :D

Could there maybe be prizes for the bottom three entries too?
I'd get one for sure then.

I can't BELIEVE nobody liked my story :(
I mean nothing says "Christmas" like an undead ghoul of a
pedophile receiving a shotgun blast to the crotch at point blank.
I guess it was just too doggone sentimental. I'll try again next year...

Oh great! She was crying again. Not sure this would do a lot to reassure her kid-self, but since he wasn't really going to be able to hear her she supposed it didn't matter. She sniffed and said, "Mikey? Listen. If you can hear me, I just want you to know. That no matter how bad things look, you should never give up hoping."

Yep...it helps to have someone to tell you that. Thanks for telling me! Love you!

I think Nick Of Time should be up for a special "All Time Favorite" story. What a classic! And yes, someone SHOULD make a movie like that!

By the way, WHERE ARE ALL THE KUDOS? That story deserves a bunch of 'em!

Oh yeah, loved the Kashimashi pic, too!
