Small steps - a bigger one

Blog About:

I didn't blog here for more than four years... :-(

Many thinks happened during this time:
I removed my old "disguise" completely after Halloween 2013. Fortunately there were no problems at all at work and in my private life.
August 2014 the status and name change was finalized, including my birth certificate.

This morning at our weekly department meeting my colleagues were told about my "change of style" after this weekend.

I didn't attend this meeting on purpose, and I was told it went very well.

Small steps - finding my own style

Over the last months I did some more small steps.

Starting HRT, coming out to my mother and my siblings.
I still have to tell my eldest brother and my father, but this is not a real problem.

Cats and their house slaves

I just saw this webcomic and thought I should share it with all of you who are tolerated by your cats ;)

Small steps - the next one: Waiting for some numbers

Today I visited the "officially sanctioned vampires".

I had an appointment with the endocrinologist to find out if there are any medical influences to my transsexuality.
They took only about eight or nine vials of blood to analyze my current hormone status and look for potential chromosomal irregularities.

Now I have to wait a few days for some numbers ;)

Realistically I expect unremarkable values inside the normal range, but surprises are possible.

After that I will start to think about the next steps. (or rather plan the next steps I'm thinking about for years...)

Frohe Weihnachten - or - A different Christmas Eve

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Here in Germany Christmas Eve is the most important part of Christmas.
Most people go to church in the afternoon followed a big meal and the gift giving in the evening.

In my family we normaly celebrate Christmas Eve without other guests. When my siblings moved out to start their own families they continued that custom.

Christmas Eve is for each family on thier own and then on the two Christmas Days some of us get together at one of their places if it is possible.

About four years ago I suddenly realized that I am female, even if my body disagrees.

The decades before I just thought I was a little different than the other boys, more sensitive, emotional, softer.
More empathetic, I was told that I'm a good listener.

I never got his competitiveness, "I'm better/stronger/more whatever than you" which was going on between the other boys.

Fortunately I grew up in a very caring and (positively) sheltered environment, in a loving family without any real conflicts. (At least I don't remember any.)

Did you ever cry while lying on your back?

Today was my third electrology session, this time for the upper lip.
Because of the bright light some tears ran down - directly into my ears.

Then I somehow thought about the english translation and had to post this blog entry ;)

Dreams

For many many years now I have had similar dreams from time to time.

It always starts in familiar place which then turns more and more unknown till I'm complete lost and wake up.

In one version I'm in school or college with my classmates and after some time I don't recognice the rooms and floors any more and don't find my way back.

In another one I'm parking my car in my home town and visit some places with friends or family. Then towards the end I cannot find the street with my car or search all around the parking garage before waking up.
