I appreciate the Kudos. What I'm wondering is just how well did I do in picking up the storyline and the writing style that Jeremy Chandler used.

It was a stretching of my writing skills to run multiple story arcs at the same time. I had particular trouble keeping multiple time lines running parallel. That and I haven't written in third person in years.

So what do you think; did I accomplish my goal of making a seamless transition of authors and did I do a credible job of taking the story where it needs to go?

Fake It Till You Make It, and the main character, Holly, expressed how thankful she was on her first Thanksgiving as her real self. It made me cry, and it made me think of all the things I have to be thankful for.

I truly have much to be thankful for, as I expect most of us do if we think about it for a moment.

I finished the stand alone follow-up to Gulity Until Ptoven Inncoent. I am going to start putting it up one chapter at a time. It is five chapters with an epilogue. I hope people enjoy it. Happy Thanskgiving.

This post is more to give myself some closure before I move on to other avenues.

I want to publicly acknowledge that I am no saint, I burned my bridges one by one over the years.

Some things that happened that essentially made me public enemy #1 on BCTS I’ve never forgiven myself for being involved with.

One of my problems is that I care about things.

And the problem with caring about things is that eventually I had to come to understand how powerless I am to actually effect the things I care about.

which means there is almost nothing I can do but let my heart break when the things I care about are in danger.

Now, a sensible person would probably realize this is stupid, and would stop caring, so I could stop hurting.

Except I cant really do that, without sacrificing most of myself.

So, I guess I am doomed to hurt and hurt and hurt ...

So yesterday and the day before, it pretty much snowed here all day, and it was what you would call a mixed blessing.

One the one hand, the city looks beautiful, white everywhere, and after a pretty grim summer that is a good thing.

On the other hand, drivers here seem to forget how to drive in snow, so car accidents have been plentiful.

Ah well, into every life a little snow must fall, right?

I've finished writing what I'm calling a "Prologue of My Continuation of My Summer in Pantyhose." It's a chapter by chapter summary of the 24 chapters posted by Jeremy Chandler. The intended purpose is to allow those who've read the original to refresh their memories as to what gone on up to this point.

There are only 20 days left in December and a few from here before the contest closes on December 20th, 2024. I have been tossing out past Christmas stories daily in the hopes it might inspire some thought for an entry. I have begged for entries, shown potential entries and entries from the past with the BigCloset Retro Classic Christmas Specials.

many years ago, a man named Alvin Toffler wrote a book where he argued that the rate of technological change was going so fast, people could no longer adapt, and were suffering a form of culture shock, or as he put it Future Shock.

Since the book came out, the rate of technological change has only increased, and the effects have only gotten worse.

I believe this is one reason for the increase in popularity of movements that wish to slow, stop, or even reverse some of those changes.

I spent some time with AI, and found that it really has a problem doing the little things. Jake has two different colored eyes, and it took me forever to get that done how I wanted. My reorganization attempt may have backfired.

I created four categories for most of my stories, but instead, I seem to have warded off some of my stories. Before, all of my 20 odd stories were listed on the right side, with attempted alphabetization getting around the word, "the". But now, only the categories are listed except for the one category being accessed.

Two categories approach 200 hits. The other two have hits in the mid-two-digits.

Anything I can do, besides live with it or undo the reorganization?

so, I found out something interesting yesterday. I had spent a good part of the day walking, and to my delight my joints were not bothering me despite the cooling temperatures.

I assumed it was because of the weight I had lost, but last night, as my manic phase eased, the pain came back.

It makes sense, my manic phase is a lot like being drunk or being high, both known for blocking pain, I had just never made the connection before.

I have always been interested in Alexander the Great, and his early death frustrated and puzzled me. His love affair with Hephaestion was well known, and losing him affected Alexander greatly (no pun intended). I simply thought that there was a story to tell.
I would interested in hearing about other TG alternative history stories out there.

Since there is been a new blog about, and a recent chapter from My Summer in Pantyhose by jeremy_chandler in 2023, I thought I would do a Google search to see if there has been other recent posts about the story.

so reading the pundits take on the American election, the general takeaway is that Kama losing was trans people's fault.

Apparently, we are such a threat to the wellbeing of the US that because she didn't join the Republicans in declaring us subhuman was the difference.

This would worry me a little less if this wasn't the overall opinion of Republican and Democrat pundits, which means I fully expect the Democrats to throw us under the bus.

Middlesex won the Pulitzer for fiction in 2003 and is one of those books that stayed with me long after I finished. I won't go into details so as not to spoil but I will say I think many here would enjoy it. It's one of those books that has scenes that pops into my mind often and one event in particular - the Burning of Smyrna.

Okay, so last night I dreamed I was back in school, and we were going to be taught ballroom dancing.

But when it came time to partner up, I was left without one, and I got so angry at the realization I was never going to be anybody's choice, I yelled at the teacher, and then took a table that was bolted to the floor, ripped it out, and threw it, Hulk style.

Still accepting all hugs, prayers, and comments of support.

The end of the world just got closer.

Adding a bit of sarcasm to my voice, I said, “You can’t imagine how excited I am.”

Just checking in to see if you are as worried as I am?

So far, it seems calm here. Don't know if I can talk about it all without tears.

Or, as Dorothy would say, I've got some spoons again. I was really struggling with the story I'm working on but last night, it started to flow again. I don't know if it was just a difficult transition in the story, or if it was the dreaded 'writer's block' as I'm still very new at this author thing, I'm just glad it is over.

I just spent over an hour with internet problems at 3:00 AM PST.

Anyone else?

Okay, this is some bad news.

Due to some mounting Bills, the fact that I broke my foot tonight, I HAVE to reduce the Prize amounts of the Christmas Contest down from $2100 to $1200. The amount will only affect the number of 3rd place winners! If I live any longer the remainder will go to Bigcloset as I get it. I have never had to do this before in my entire history of doing contests here, but I must now do this. I am cash strapped to the max :*(

Things are getting worse here in Alberta.

The provincial government apparently announced that it will no longer cover SRS.

Now, this won't affect me directly, as my health isnt good enough for the surgery, but I feel for any Albertans who were hoping to get it.

But that's not the worst of it. The ruling party is having a convention right now, and one of the ideas being debated is bringing in a bathroom bill, basically banning someone like me from the using the lady's room.

Bills are due and funds are very low. Ad revenue is way down since BFS has had to cut back on advertising. If you can give their ads a look, some of their merchandise might be what you're looking for.

Any financial help will be appreciated.

Today, as I sat in my car after grocery shopping. It occurred to me that once again, I had an offer of assistance from a man as I was hoisting 40# box of kitty litter into my cart. I already had it lifted to the top of the basket so that it rested there as I braced to put inside. I said, "I've got the hard part done, but thank you anyway."

Parting is such sweet sorrow...yet a party can be great fun! What a difference just one letter makes...

Anyway, I remembered that I'd promised to indicate when the different 'parts' of the new book Hope's Light had been posted, for those readers who prefer the previous posting method of many chapters at once which allowed binging the story in larger bursts. As such, yep, Part One is indeed completely posted! It completes with Chapter Four: Enemies.
