Just as Covid-19 emerges, Captain Alec Grant (RN) received the news from the authorities in Hawaii that his daughter had been reported missing under strange circumstances. Sabrina Grant had been one of a small group of British university students on an archaeological trip to a remote island in the archipelago when she reportedly vanished whilst inside a cave,
There had been a camera set up outside the cave mouth, and she was clearly seen entering but never exiting.
I would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and hope that 2023 will be an improvement over 2022.
This has been a hectic and challenging year for me. I had great plans to release a book a month - such are the plans we make, eh?
I still am working on so many books, I might just finish a few in 2023 - I'm not being as optimistic as I was last year, as there are too many things to stop me.
But, I have actually finished one, just in time for Christmas - Fading Memories
- Fanfare of Trumpets... I have actually finished a book! I don't know why it has been so tough, but hopefully, I can catch up and have another one up in a couple of months.
This one - ANOMALIES - features some old friends (Josie, Maxine & Fiona) as well as a newbie in a science fiction/fantasy set in the real present-day and continuing (obliquely) BROKEN PROMISES and ready to bound seamlessly into BOOK 3 - SAM.
NEW BOOK WARNING! I have just uploaded FED ON FEAR to Amazon for a Kindle eBook and a paperback.
For those of you who might have read The Rats of Hell - this is a rewrite and expansion of that story - bringing it into Natasha Mackay's universe - long after she has died (or has she?).
Kindle version is already available - the paperback might take a day or so longer.
Yup, this lockdown has an added benefit. Book number 81 is up. This is one of the many I was going to publish under a different name, but thanks in part to many of you, books under this name sell best... so here it is, book 1 in a fantasy/sci fi series involving parallel worlds and time shifts.

Well, this is not really a modern re-write, more like a contemporary story that borrows just a smidge from the original.

I told everyone I'd start one book and try to get it done as quickly as possible....
I lied.
It wasn't deliberate, I just went and had a sleepless night and had another idea....
That is nearly always fatal.
It kills anything I'm doing and heads me off at a tangent.
So, a few days ago I started a new book... it's called 'Namaka' and I have written 36,000 words in a short time... It's like I'm possessed by a muse who refuses to sleep!
Okay, I've not done this before, but I thought I'd while away the time and start a new book and keep a log of progress as I started.
This is day one and I started one hour ago @ 12:45 GMT .... I am now up to 2228 words.
The Book is called Charlie's Trials and is Book 2 in the Limbo Series.
Going on from the blog entry by Melanie yesterday about keeping up with the news trends and the dreaded Virus, I thought I'd write something wholly contemporary and include everything that is happening in the news.

In a similar vein to the book IT'S NEVER TOO LATE..
A story of a more mature person who is thrust into change. Not that it is not wanted, but is unexpected and for unusual reasons. This is almost more a story on the impact on others and is a coming of age tale for the over 50s.
Now the hectic summer is over, perhaps there will be more from my muse soon.
