I've been having a bit of writers block for a good while now. Ideas seem to come and go without really take root. A friend of mine suggest that I reboot one of my character and see were the reboot takes me. At first I thought that was a crazy idea. But then I decided to go ahead and give it a good. So as of writing this I'm working on rebooting a character that showed a lot of promise but just seemed to run out of steam. So hopefully before the year is out you guys and gals would treated to a rebooted Persphone Sharbrough.
Hello, I'm kind of back now. I know I stopped writing there for a hot minute so I'll telll you what happen. While fishing my day was finned by a catfish and well an infiction set in. It was kind of a good thing because that infiction caused him to go the doctor and get admitted to the hospital were they did a lot of test and they found ucles (?) in his belly that are now treated and are healing so yay for that. Now I kept writing all through the nine days he was in the hospital a hundred words here, maybe three hundred here. Not enough for a chapter per say.
So, I'm doing something that I've never done before. I'm putting out an S.O.S. You see, once, long ago, back when I haunted all of the Harvest Moon Roleplay Forums that seemed to everywhere, and the many slice of life Roleplay Forums that were always popular, I was known for my moving, emotionally backed Christmas stories. And when I started writing on D.A (Devient Art) I would go all for my yearly Christmas story, I would commission an artist for the cover-art and pull out of the stops.
For the last several weeks, I've been here, but not really here. I have fallen behind on responding to comments and giving comments to those wonderful ladies who stories bring me so much joy and happyness. I feel like I owe the whole community an apology and I must explain why. Well to start I was sick on Easter Sunday, and so I went to the local clinic and tested postived for streph throat. Again. So that was ten more days on the antibotic train. I was barely over strep when my father woke up one morning peeing blood.
Hello, it Rebecca Anna Coleman here! Many of you know me as that girl who writes stories that feature anime like characters and often have anime like plots. Most know me as that one girl who always seems to set her stories in Mississippi. But many of you don't know that I've also an the solo acolyte of my local Episcopal Parish, Trinity Episcopal Church.
While I was fishing this afternoon. This bible verse popped into my head. "To whom much is given, much will be required." For a moment I felt like I'd been struck with a piece of iron. Allow me to explain, I have been given much this year, and I'm afraid I've done very little to return it. I've been blessed with the firm mentorship of two of the most brillent writers I've ever known, Emma Anne Tate, and Joanne Barbarella, and I'm sure there dozens more waiting to be discovered here on this forum.
First allow me to say this, Merry Christmas to y'all. This year has been a amazing, yes there were dark periods, periods of self doubt, periods when I felt like it was time to give up and retire and retreat into the darkness of the internet never to be seen nor heard from again. There were also times when I felt like I was on fire and the world of fiction was my oyster. Rambling aside, I want to thank every member of this site.
I've encountered a bit of writers block with How I Spent My Summer Vacaction: I became a Girl!. So in order to break that writers block I've decided to try something, something all writers did when I was starting out. Well writers in the Harvest Moon Community that is. Anyway, since Emily favorite gaming series is 'Star Dew Valley' a series of anime inspired farming simulator games that have some elements of JRPG's thrown in to spice things up, like upgrading your farming tools and building releationships with the locals, and an 'life bar'.
So, I've hit a bit of a stumbling block. And I was hoping the readership here could help me out. I have two possible ideas for a story, both are kind of beach themed. One centers on Persephone paiting the gulf coast red. The other be an intro for a new character, or feature Isabella. The first one is more, fun, adventure, slice of life, that flavored with anime and manga style humor. The other is dark, brooding and a bit scary, maybe even too scary.
I promised Ms. Emma Anne Tate an honest review of her masterfully crafted “Duets” and so please consider this blog post an in-depth review of her work. First off, allow me to say this, Emma has a gift that few writers seem to have she is a mistress at building a world that seems so real, you can crawl right into it. And “Duets” is a tour de force of her talent. She artfully displays her keen insight to human mind within the digital pages.
Good morning everybody, first allow me to thank everyone who's read 'The Story of a Reluctant Southern Belle' I'm very pleased with the support its recieved. The story though has given a bit of writers block. And while I think on it, I've decided to given some attention to a few of my other stories I have floating around in limbo. One new story I hope to publish is called "The Mallrat Chronicals" it ties in with my other stories, and is set in the same area of Mississippi as my other stories.
I would like to offer a heart felt thank you, I've been for the most part lurking in the shadows, and I've finally worked up enough courage to post something kin to a welcoming post. First allow me to thank all the wonderful authors out there who share there pieces of creativity. You guys are beyond amazing and have awaken in me a need and a want. You have also given me ideas and indirectly you guys have made me a better writer. And that's about it right now, I'm to shy to say anything about myself. And to quote a popular anime, one I can not name, I will conclude this bog by saying.
