I've encountered a bit of writers block with How I Spent My Summer Vacaction: I became a Girl!. So in order to break that writers block I've decided to try something, something all writers did when I was starting out. Well writers in the Harvest Moon Community that is. Anyway, since Emily favorite gaming series is 'Star Dew Valley' a series of anime inspired farming simulator games that have some elements of JRPG's thrown in to spice things up, like upgrading your farming tools and building releationships with the locals, and an 'life bar'. Yes you read that correctly an 'life bar'.

Anyway, in order to break through writers block, and get back into an Emily frame of mine, I was going to have her write an fanfiction and post it here, each chapter should around around 2,000 to 2,500 words long and will chronical her characters life as she moves in to Star Dew Valley, falls in love and has some misadventures. Events that transpire in her life might also filter there way into the story. I plan on writing one chapter of this for each chapter of her story I've uploaded thus far.

So, here is were you the readership come in. I will be responding to each comment posted, but I will responding to each comment the way Emily would. So in a round about way you the readership will be interacting with Emily and that will force me to think like her, and hopefully get the ball rolling on more stories featuring her. So before taking on this project, I need y'all gals feed back.

Comment below on your thoughts and let Emily and I know what to do. In the mean time I'll sipping coffee and gazing into the void of a blank page. My muse has taken leave it seems for warmer clime.

Dear Emily . . .

. . . I’m so glad that Sunflowerchan is letting us talk to you directly. I don’t know about this crazy place you’re going to visit, so it’s hard to give you the sort of guidance an older woman should give. I mean, I can scarcely tell you not to talk to strangers, since everyone will be a stranger.

I will warn you that your friend Sunflower likes to surprise unsuspecting main characters by dunking them in ice cold water or covering them with food, invariably in public. You may want to be extra careful about wandering into places where such things might happen, though she will make it so hard for you to resist!

Be careful of boys. You know how they are! And if Sunflower has anything to do with it, they definitely “are!” But take a deep breath — actually, take lots of them — blush a couple times, and give it a go. She’s mischievous, that Sunflower, but she loves romance and likes a happy ending almost as much as you and me. ;)

Most of all, have fun and keep smiling. We’re all rooting for you, girl!

Emma

I'm blushing.

I read this at work and I blushed the whole day. I blushed the whole day, which lead to questions, questions I'm not sure I could answer. I consider you making blush paypack for all the times I made you blush! With that I shall edit the first chapter of Emily's fanfiction! I'm still blushing.. and chewing on the end of my pigtail!

Now, my only word of warning to you is don't let those idiots at the ticket office at the cinema or that snarky bitch at the icecream/coffee shop get to you. You can have lovely adventures without them and I think Jack will make a great boyfriend.

But don't forget to save some of your energy and talent for the 2024 New Year's Contest!
