That's the UK weather!

So, after several hot, sunny days, Monday was a little cooler, well later on, so i did eventually get a bit of writing done - not as much as i'd hoped but anything is better than none. OTOH i did get a half decent walk in, mostly along the river which is quite low but seemingly cleaner than usual - there were certainly plenty of fry swimming about so the Kingfishers and herons should have something to munch on in a few weeks.

The forecast for Tuesday was, well, mixed. Cooler but still in the 20's with sporadic showers, i decided to chance it for a ride as most of the showers were supposed to be in the afternoon. Well that didn't happen, by my lunch stop for a mucky burger in Clevedon, i'd had two thorough soakings and several lesser wettings! I must admit, that did colour my choice of return route a bit although it stayed dry and even sunny for the first ten, fifteen kilometres.

Then the puncture fairy paid a visit, a tiny piece of perhaps flint or sharp sand which could have been from Saturday or picked up from the damp roads. I do know that it took a bit of getting out of the tyre but eventually it was fixed but before i could get the wheel refitted a heavy squall swept through, i was wet to the skin before i could get my jacket on! And then it was gone, the remainder of the ride tailwind assisted along the Avon Gorge path back into Brizzle.

Not the biggest ride but 72km is still a decent leg stretch, as for the wet, well it wasn't cold and i ate lunch in the dry so not the end of the world.

Today we are back to sunny and warm, i'll take a walk after lunch then get some more writing done - for my Patreon supporters there are now 12 (twelve) segments of the new 'short' story - 16k words and counting! What started as a definite 'short' has grown legs with more plot twists than a bowl of spaghetti!
