Welcome to Windy City, Chapter 2

I punched the cat-thing again, and a sparkly, silvery liquid burst out from its body.

It was beautiful.

The scene around me was of devastation - the street was pockmarked with crater, and a good chunk of them literally burned with high-precision laser. The buildings were similarly devastated - cut-apart by laser, smashed by thrown chunks of asphalt, or hollowed out by cat-thing’s ear.

It was surprisingly capable. Why did it need to contract magical girls at all?

Chapter 2 of Welcome to Windy City is mostly complete...

... but damn, it need revision. Lots of revision, as it turns out. Chapter 2, Scene 1 is more-or-less done. Scene 2 is cut completely - I may or may not restore it, but I think it is superfluous. Currently editing Scene 3, but with relatively fewer critique, finding and fixing the problematic part is more difficult. Same with the rest of the writing.

I think it is prudent to have more test readers, so.. anyone is up to it?

Welcome to Windy City, Chapter 1

The corpse was on the street, and it wasn’t my fault.

My journey started well enough. I managed to catch an angkot despite being around midnight, and after some fumbling, I managed to explain to the driver that I planned to go to Panggung street - I just moved, so I didn’t know the street name of my new house. Afterward, there’s really nothing to note. I read my book, the driver drove the car, and all’s right with the world.
