And then there's the fact that she's apparently been reincarnated as the villainess of Tower Conquest, a lesbian porn game with a surprisingly intricate plot. One in which the Heroine conquers Dimona Tower, turning Devilla's people against her in the process. In victory, the Heroine brings about a glorious age of peace between demons and humans for the first time in millennia. ...Which actually sounds pretty good for her people, come to think of it. Devilla knows her terrible behavior is beyond forgiveness, but maybe she can still make up for her past mistakes? She just needs to make sure the events of the game unfold correctly. Though there is one little detail she'd like to change - the part where Devilla herself is killed or enslaved!

“Oh god…” I moan as I open my eyes and am greeted by the bright sunlight and the oppressive heat of the room I’m in. “Oh- oh god!” I try to huddle my covers around me in a vain attempt to sleep away my hangover, but when all that does is make me even hotter, I slowly roll out of the bed, landing in a heap not on the floor, but on top of the unmoving form of the woman who was my classmate for the last three years.

“Katie?” I grunt, rolling off the freckled girl’s body and giving her a shake. “You still alive?”

Options exist for all of us. Some are more palatable than others, of course, but in general, it’s a fact that options do exist in most situations.

We can try to be rational about things; we can try to be irrational, too. We can run into danger head-first, or even run away from it screaming bloody murder. The only thing that matters is the effect we want and the effect we get, most of the time.

Success, in a political sense, is measured by you getting what you want with the least cost to anyone or anything you care for in the process. Failure is a deferment of that success with varying costs applied to that deferment as well, naturally.

The question, really, is how do you measure success in more ambiguous situations?

Say, just as a random example, when you race to save your friend from becoming a semi-human barbecue, while partly blinded and far too high in the air for most people’s sanity to handle due to your own poorly tested rune work? What exactly is the win status on that theoretical situation?

Her survival? Your survival? The survival of the world’s political climate as it currently stands, perhaps? Or, and just hear me out on this one, maybe the win would be something completely unexpected which blows the other options out of the water just by existing?

Let’s call that one ‘Option D’, shall we? Any guesses what Hannah’s up to today?

“ Do you know what you want?” He asked.

“ Yeah, BLT on wheat with mayo, Frys and a coke.”

“ OK,” He ordered. We chatted while we waited for our food. The car hop on skates no less. Brought our food. Greg paid. He handed me my sandwich with frys. I set my drink on the center console.

“ How is your dinner?” Greg asked.

Unladylike I said, “ Good” with a mouthful.

Swallowing. “ I'm so sorry, that wasn't very ladylike, It is good” I apologized.
