Our last morning in a tent for a while dawned with a slight hint of miserable weather, the first in what seemed like an age. It had rained during the night, but nobody seemed to care much. All our girls were in light dresses and flip-flops or sandals, on the basis that if they got wet feet, who cared? I remembered the old Scouts camping adage that site dress should be shorts and canvas plimsolls, on the same principle. I somehow doubted that people at Everest Base Camp would concur, but it worked for a typical British Summer.

How did I start? Now there is a good question. I was like maybe 8 when I put my dirty clothes in the clothes hamper at home. For some reason I got a small shock when I put them in. I think it was a good sign getting off the bus and while there was a few protesters there from their “Holy rollers.” holding some signs up and yelling bible stuff in protest of me playing.

They had to do it off the school grounds since their right to free speech and assembly wasn’t applicable to the school grounds here. That was a good sign that they weren’t allowing them there. But then again those signs saying “God hates fags.” don’t look good for the school.

There was also two cop cars there just in case.

Jingle jingle...clash..jingle and the door to the house opens. Immediatly the kitty cat who had been waiting patiently for her Mommy to come home starts in on her. Mew mew mew mew mew.

"Sorry sweetie mummy just got home." A few pets and little Pepper purrs in contentment all is well and Mommy is well trained.

Tanya thinks her cat is a little too overbearing as she removes the cat treat from the fridge and puts Pepper's preferred amount into a clean bowl. Cats are not picky no way!
