Hospital

Listening to Jekyllase, chapter 12 of 17

I was distracted all afternoon, worried about the fallout from last night’s disaster. Would Alice tell anyone, and if so, how would the rumors mutate? How would Emily react?

Not Strong Enough To Run

A traditional style manual blood pressure measuring device, with a blue cuff.

Paul is a trainee nurse, a pretty good one, and on the verge of qualification. He has one last figure he must prove himself to; Alicia, his direct supervising nurse. She made a promise to Paul on his first day on the ward—one of the last wards in a regular hospital in the entire city—if Paul ever needed a drink after a shift to decompress, get a worry off his chest, deal with a professional issue, or even just to chat, simply tell her; Alicia would be there for him; that’s what good supervisors do. And Alicia believes she’s a good supervisor.

After a long, but quiet, Friday night shift, with time to dwell on his thoughts, Paul pushes himself to take Alicia up on the promise she made. Something is bothering him, and mentioning it in the hospital, without support, could affect his career. Paul even knows exactly the bar he wants to go to for the 9am drink; Light Avenue.

Not Strong Enough to Run is a Solo short story set in the Toni With An i/Light Avenue universe, featuring the sort of, maybe, but not quite, but really ‘Yes’ LGBTQ+ bar. Set roughly ten years before Toni With An i it features both Steph and Trevor earlier in their careers. No knowledge of Toni With An i is needed for this story. Not Strong Enough to Run is, however, a tale that will enhance the experience of any fans of Steph, Trevor, or Light Avenue itself.

The Heaviness Of The Badge Chp. 22

One Week Later:
Zoey and Ashley give Jack and Debbie a hug before they board the Lear Jet that was going to take them to England. They had fun while they were in Montana and visiting their uncle and aunt. Mouse gives Jack and Debbie a hug as well.

“Sorry to see you go back to England, Mouse.” Debbie holds Mouses hands.

“My vocation time is up and I can’t get an extension. My boss needs me back, because there isn’t anyone who can do what I do.” Mouse knew she was irreplaceable.

“Well, don’t stay away too long.”

The Heaviness Of The Badge Chp. 8

Caldwell Medical Center:
Cecil adjust the glasses she was wearing as she gets off the elevator. She glances down at the fake medical chart in her hands. The three officers that attacked Jack’s grandson and his friends were on this floor. She heads towards the first officer’s hospital room. His name was Bruce Donovan.

Never Wanted To Be A Girl Chp.26

Grace decided to pull a second shift at the hospital. The nurse she was covering for, had a family emergency. She checked on Raven and she was out of it. Her girlfriend Clair had left to go back to the hotel they were staying in to change.

Grace knew Clair was coming back to be by her girlfriend. She checks Raven's vitals and records them on the pad the hospital was using. As she is walking back to the nurses' station, she notices her partner Anthony talking to nurse Brooke. She was a light skin African American woman. She had the type of figure, Anthony looked for in a woman.

Never Wanted To Be A Girl Chp.25

Raven was nervous as she waited for the nurse to come and get her for her surgery. The last tiny bit that made her, a male was going to be removed from her body. She would no longer be in the halfway state she was. She loved Clair very much and couldn’t wait to see what it was like to have sex as a normal girl did.

Clair could tell Raven was nervous. These past few weeks after the trial has been nerve-wracking for her. Dr. Heath and the Warden were appealing the decision and challenging the evidence that had been used against them.

Elizabeth and Sara

Elizabeth looks at her wife as she walks out of the bathroom. Her belly has gotten big since she became pregnant. The two eggs that had been artificially inseminated had split. Now, they were going to be a family of six, instead of a family of four.

She couldn’t believe that Sara was going to have four babies. Neither one of their family’s had a history of twins or any signs of multiple births in their family line. How the egg she gave Sara had split and Sara’s own egg split was a mystery to them.

The New Recruits Part 13

2330 Hrs. ICU Room 606 Knoxville General Hospital, Knoxville, Tn.:
All the alarms at the nurse’s station start blaring. The nurses on duty rush towards Room 606 and when they enter, Kat is sitting up in bed and looking pissed and confused.

“Easy Mrs. Romano, you’re at Knoxville General Hospital.” Nurse Sunmer approaches Kat slowly.

“Why am I here and why does my chest hurt?” The last thing Kat remembers is walking out the back door of her office.

The Hero, The Mouse & The Cheshire Pt. 7

Cheshire takes another sip of her tea, while she waited for Collins to wake-up. She couldn’t wait to see his reaction. She watches him as he slowly wakes up.

“Good morning, sleepy head.”

Collins goes to pull his gun from under his pillow, but it wasn't there. He looks at Cheshire as she stood nearby. She had a coffee mug in her hand as she slowly took a sip from it.

Cheshire looks at him with a predatory look on her face “what did I say about going after my family?”

Part 1 - The camp project meeting.

The girls all woke up and took turns in the shower. When they were finished getting dressed, they all made their beds and swept the cabin and mopped it. When they were done, the breakfast bell rang over the public address system.

The girls went to the cafeteria and had a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon (three strips), toast (if they wanted any), and milk. Sharon sat with the girls today, and listened while Miss Loretta made an announcement.

Hospitalisation

Waking up in a hospital is never nice. Waking up to learn that someone poisoned you is worse. There is one positive thing though, you'll have much free time to play MMORPGs. Nonetheless Jan is not happy about his situation. Burnout is never a good thing.

The Girl Most Likely To ... - Part 28
by Barbara Lynn Terry

Chapter 1 - Naomi gets a call.

No sooner did Naomi get in the house, than she was told by Gloria Richards that she had a phone call. It was Dr. Garcia.

"I will b right there, doctor."

"Ruth, Gloria, I have to go back to the hospital, there has been a complication with Janice."

"May I come, too, Naomi?" Renée asked meekly.

"Honey, I don't know how long I am going to be there."

"It's all right, Naomi, I am Janice' sister and I want to be there for her."

Part V - At the hospital.

Gloria and Mandy just made it to the hospital as the paramedics were taking Ruth in to the Emergency Room entrance. They parked in the ER parking lot, and went in and talked to the receptionist. They were told to have a seat, because the doctor may want to talk to them.

They sat down in the small waiting area, you so commonly see in Emergency Rooms. It seemed to take forever, but then a young nurse came out and called for "family" of Ruth Watkins.

Chapter 18 of a Continuing Saga…

Farah and I went to bed that night wondering if we would find ourselves back in 1944 again. In spite of the first couple of times I had time-slipped, since then it seemed it was the bed that had acted as my “Tardis” to wartime.

‘It was great meeting your bro,’ Farah said as we undressed. ‘He’s cute and soooo cool, and he doesn’t seem to mind that you’ve changed into a girl. In fact he seemed quite pleased.’

‘Well, I guess he’s always thought I was a bit girly,’ I confided; ‘but he was never mean about it–unlike a lot of other boys.’

I felt like I was floating in treacle. Sometimes the light would be there and sometimes it was dark. I wondered if the darkness finally had got me. Something in my brain kept telling me, ‘it wasn’t over,’ then I’d float some more.

Author's Note: I wasn't going to continue this story, thinking it had run its course and 365 episodes is enough for most people. However, I had emails and PMs (not PMS!)which convinced me otherwise. Also I couldn't spoil a special person's birthday, so here's the next one.

NOTE: This is still touchy and I caution the reader, of its description of violence of woman. This was not easy for me to write, however I have stuck it out and posted it here.

NOTE: This chapter is very disturbing to me and it may to be the reader as most of my life is being dredged up in somewhat detail and some of it very graphic. Caution is advised.

*Bleep bleep*

*Bleep bleep*

*Bleep bleep*

The first thing that Rebecca noticed was her hearing, swirling back into function. What was that sound?

*Bleep bleep*

*Bleep bleep*

Was she dead? Where the hell was she?

Everything seemed so white, so barren….

KimEm :: Update

Hi all... Time for another Update....

Here are the facts as I know them at time of this posting:

  • The Cardiac Catheriation (to be done late morning or early afternoon on Febuary 25, 2008) is not to see if the valve replacement is needed. It is to see if they need to do a bypass while they are in there doing the valve replacement.

KimEM is in the hospital again....

FYI, KimEM is in the hospital again. She was admitted during a device checkup as she was and is showing signs of CHF which is a complication of her Hear attack years back.

With luck she will be home in a couple days feeling a lot better, and not carrying around so much water.
