Chapter 11 – A new ride
The following morning I was looking forward to a quiet Sunday with no new ordeals for me to face. I was in my bra and panty girdle and had just decided which of my tea dresses to put on when Mom briefly appeared in the doorway.
Her cryptic utterance “You might wanted wear something a little more ‘everyday’ this morning.” sounded more like an instruction than advice.

I was turning blue standing there in the cold sea. I cursed myself for being such a coward. Standing on the beach were Mike and Steve, the two biggest jocks in my school, eagerly waiting for me to get out of the water. I was scared, really scared of what they were going to do. How could I be so stupid to come out this way? Not that anybody would be surprised. I had always come across as too feminine for a boy and everyone, including me, knew it was only a matter of time - but anyway - this was a really stupid way to do it.

Sam went to Hertford police station on the way home from the hospital. He made his statement and learned Fiona was being held at HMP Bronzefield. With Suzi's statement and Sam's along with the evidence they were likely to charge her with attempted murder. He had fractured her jaw when he hit her, but as this was done in self self defense it was unlikely he would be charged.
