Shirley some mistake?

These days, Halloween has been taken over by the horror industry but when I was young you went out ‘guising’ which meant being in disguise. One year I was a footballer in my favourite team’s strip. Another year, I was a Mexican wearing a poncho my mum had picked up on holiday with a sombrero and a fake moustache made from some soot from the chimney.

Twins, part 15

“I- I’m sorry, what?” Luke asked incredulously as Paul muttered a barely audible ‘Jesus Fucking Christ’ under his breath.

“I said that I don’t want to be a woman any more,” the distraught youngster replied. “I don’t want to be a woman, and I don’t want to be called ‘Lucy’ any more.”

“Well it’s going to be confusing around here with two ‘Lukes,’ ” Luke replied. “’Cause I sure as hell am not giving this name up.”

The Present, Part 18

Part Eighteen

The visual of Amy’s words didn’t help in the slightest. Nor did Julia’s teasing suggestion.

Unfortunately, the whole nature of ‘Would You Rather’ was being stuck with two bad options. The immature game was just normally choices that were completely out of context, rather than a pointed question related to the thoroughly feminine transformation he had undergone. And there was no getting away from it now that his cousin had implied the blackmail that started all of this.

Trial and Heiress - 7

Through the years: Trials and tribulations of a preteen girl Part 6

“Did you know that I do blame myself for what happened in December?” Modine asked her husband. “And I feel guilty for this whole crazy Molly situation too.”

“Modine, how is any of this your fault?” Conner asked.

“Well,” Modine looked up at him and she frowned, while shaking her head. “I went to Maggie’s and found Tracy that one morning. I gave Tracy a chance to come out, but only here and only when you were gone. But I could see that each time she came out, putting her back was getting harder. In October she decided to be just Troy, so Vance couldn’t find out and a part of me was relieved. I was so afraid that something would happen and that since I gave Tracy the chance to be out, it would be my fault. Then Thanksgiving happened and you found out, because of Bruce.” Modine wiped a tear from her eye.

CHAPTER 3

By Touch the Light

I hang back a few feet, allowing Kerrie to pay her respects to a woman she never met by resting a simple spray of roses on the bare earth. Then I notice the headstone, no more than nine or ten inches high. An epitaph has been written on it, and in French.

The game is up...

The Dynamite Duo.
Appearances can be so deliciously deceiving.

Jonathon Thorson is too short and slender to meet the
image of a big manly superhero, but he has a superpower.
And superheroes need a secret identity if they're going
to have any life beyond fighting bad guys (and girls).

So . . .

CHAPTER 2

By Touch the Light

“There’s no need to pull a face like you’ve just swallowed a bluebottle, sweetheart. Your name only came up after I happened to mention that as I hoped to do a spot of amateur sleuthing while I was here, it would be nice if I could hire a trusty sidekick to help me out for a day or two. Norah says a break like that will do you a power of good, so consider yourself roped in.”

Don’t Blame Me I’m A Martian-25

Chapter 25

I wipe some of the sweat away from my forehead and take a drink from my water bottle. “Wow…my back…” I look over to Shy who’s way ahead of all of us in their row. Jax is pulling grassy bits out of his rake.

“Y’know for someone that’s never raked a blueberry in her life she’s likely the best raker I’ve seen since dad.”

That’s likely because Shy’s mimicking him.

“Yeah, she’s….”

“Into you which sucks for me.”

“Jax!”

“What? Cheyenne’s likely the easiest damned girl that I’ve ever talked to. Well besides you Dylan.”

Chapter 1

By Touch the Light

The girl on the other side of the dressing-table mirror returns the world-weary smile I throw at her. We’ll see this out somehow.

If only I didn’t identify with her more and more completely with each day that goes by. How long do I have left before I’m unable to imagine any reflection but the one in front of me now?

Scary? I’ll say.

And there isn’t a thing I can do about it.

"Less than fifty people in the world know of the transfer device. The list includes neither the Prime Minister of this country nor the President of the United States. To learn of our organisation is to join it. There’s no going back, Richard. You work for us now. You always will.”

The muse hit me again! Hope this one is OK? It has been a while since we heard from Hill Street High so I decided to start slowly with the more "obvious" changes and let the School work its magic and begin to heal some hurting spirits. My thanks to JennC who got to see the preview. I will be continuing work on "The Revenenant" so please don't worry about that. As Jenn told me, "The Muse strikes when she strikes".

Enjoy, Sunwolf

This is a story I did a few years ago and posted on Sapphire's. It's an attempt at Science Fiction and Adventure. At the time I wrote it, I had never read any of the Gor books. Now that I have, I'm surprised at some of the similarities.

The story is about Bill, who, through a travesty of justice gets involved with a dying boy. With the help of the boy's late uncle's writings, Bill is pulled into a strange, savage world.
