After we had finished the phone call, we opened a new bottle of wine and Molly opened a packet of crackers and cut some cheese from a wheel in her pantry. We were more settled with each other than we had been in any time in our lives. I knew that I had been fundamentally different from our brother but had never considered that it would need two weeks of wearing skirts for me to understand why.
When word spread that Akari had successfully forged her divine artifact, the entire academy buzzed with a mixture of awe, fear, and curiosity. The halls were filled with whispers of the feat she had accomplished, and students and faculty alike couldn’t stop talking about the lantern with its eternal flame.
A big couple of days for Hunter. A big dance, a big game and a big talk with his dad.
It's a lot for a little kid whose already going through a lot. Thank you, thank you,
thank you for all your comments and support. Honestly, I was afraid that this story
may not connect with a lot of people. Hunter is a much younger protagonist than I
ever created before. I'm so happy that he has captured your hearts the same way
that he captured mine.
Emily's world is a whirlwind of chaos, pressure, and emotional storms. At school, she faces relentless humiliation; at home, a stifling environment offers no solace. With each moment piling on more weight, Emily struggles to navigate a day where emotions run high and resilience is tested to its breaking point. This chapter delves deep into the fragility of adolescence, the complexities of family, and the simmering power of unspoken courage.
The continuing adventures of Doug Gordon, Queen of Ka'an. (Ka'an in Mayan means Heaven.) Ka'an is actually an alien world populated by women... and a man-eating plant. We spent a couple of days after Christmas at my folks, with Cindy and my mom getting to know each other better.
I on the other hand spent most of my time practicing.

This story is structured around a song I consider to be one of my anthems. Meatloaf’s ballad Heaven can wait. The song holds meaning different things for many people but this story covers what it means to me.
Christina woke just as the first rays of sun hit the mountain. Rolling over, she pulled the blankets over her eyes to block the light. She savored the warm, comfortable feeling of being cocooned in her luxurious bed, remembering that her bed at home wasn't remotely this comfortable. Eventually she pulled the blanket off of her head and looked around, realizing that everything that happened yesterday was real. She didn't want to get up, not only because the bed was so inviting, but also she knew that if she looked in the mirror, she would see a girl looking back.
John is brought a strange document to examine. As a board certified document examiner, he has seen more than his share of strange documents but none like this one.
I went to the hospital because I’m a diabetic and my toe had an infection. They admitted me to a double bed room and told me they would need to remove the toe. Charles, my roommate, was in for pain in the abdomen. Although he had been in the hospital for a week the doctors still didn’t know its cause.
“Maybe you’re pregnant,” I kidded.
He gave me a chuckle before we talked on other subjects.
Just before I had my operation the next day chuck came back from another test.
“How did you know?” he asked. “Somehow I AM pregnant.”
In this chapter, Bobby is invited to Cori's sleepover and semi-officially acquires some new pronouns. We also learn a bit more about Bobby's father and get a little more insight into how he and his child feel about each other.
Oaths are made, alliances forged, friendships kindled, and enemies revealed, as Becca prepares for the final confrontation with the Cat Goddess and her "children." Who would have thought "making out" would lead to the beginning of the end?
Our first summer together. We tell a few people about Gwen and one isn’t happy. A surprise at the lake. Could one of us be bisexual? Where does Kelly fit into all of this?

"Well? Have you found a candidate? All Hallows Eve is less than four weeks away, and I want to have the ritual on the full moon."
The old green truck had barely turned the corner onto Main Street when Andrei pulled over to the sidewalk and put It In park. Looking towards Nina and Christina, he said, "End of the line, ladies." Needing no encouragement, Nina pushed open the passenger side door and jumped down onto the sidewalk. Christina followed, closing the door behind herself.
The kids from England end up going on a field trip to Luray Caverns. Em notices that Gaby seems to be moving very femininely and she is happy for a change. What is up with that? Did Gaby become a girl? It's interesting, I never noticed before, but Gaby smiles just the same way Maddy does? Gaby hardly ever smiles, so I never noticed this before. It's nice to see Gaby in a good mood for a change. Maddy seems to be a bit glum though, Why did she ever come wearing a blouse, skirt, hose and open toed, low heeled sandles to a cavern tour field trip, who is she trying to impress? That sure was dumb on her part.
Joanie's farm project resumes, with changes. She learns more about Miki and why the mongoose may be attracted to her. The trip to take the Smith twins to their mom in hospital is finalized. Pinky and Joanie discuss the Alphas. The Sabers learn of Joanie and BET. Joanie has a series of revealations reguarding Eric and her that are frightening. And someone faints and it's NOT Joanie.
Andy Warhol said,"In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes." What if your 15 minutes came late in life, and fame decided to never let you go? Could you survive the circus your life would become?
My hair streamed behind me and my gossamer wings fluttered in the slipstream as I hitched a flight from Bahadur Azi Dahaka, dragon warrior of the Mountains of the Summer Snows.
A trip downtown. An interesting meeting on a Saturday with a major surprise. Another trip to Doug’s cabin. Another big surprise for us. Maybe a voice for Gwen? A test? Back home for the summer.
This is a follow on to Luciana. It would help if you've read that.
Can someone who is not who they were be trusted? Will retracing your steps solve anything, when nothing is the same... and should you try? It is not always possible to walk away even if you want to. The past is always there.
There is some darkness, violence and general nastiness... so as before, be forewarned.
Apologies if the Italian phrases are not exactly correct. Blame Google.
I have no idea how long I’d been under my headphones working on the Prokofiev, but when Cindy tapped me on the shoulder she didn’t look any too pleased that I was still working. I looked at her sheepishly and took off the headphones.

This is a drabble (100 word story) based on a joke I'd once made about a company a friend of mine had worked for that sounded very close to Snap-In Tools. I'm not really sure of the rating. If anyone thinks I should change it, please let me know. Enjoy! :)
Eric thought he was living a reasonable life until a series of calamities broke up his marriage, took his job and put his parents in a precarious position.
When Kevin, his tennis partner in High School, reminds him of the great team they made and offers him the opportunity to turn his life around he has a critical decision to make.
A school for superheroes seemed like a good idea at the time. Template is on the faculty and her niece, Energia, is a student when they find out that not everyone agrees on the wonderfulness of education.
High level conspiracy? Alien technology? Is someone trying to kill off the superschool? And the supers with it?
It all started with someone launching a killer missile at Template's secret identity, Jenny’s aunt-er-uncle, Randy...
