“Murphy understood the law and knew justice. He also knew that the two were often not the same. To catch the bad guy and win a confession, you had to be willing to step outside the box and take chances. That’s what made him a great cop. But that didn’t give him the right to take the law in his own hands. All he had to do was have a boy examined to confirm his true gender and now his mistake was going to cost him. Maybe his job? Maybe a demotion?

But then nothing in this case was turning out like it should. He should have seen this coming. He should have known that you can test the odds and you can test your resolve, but never pit your luck against Murphy’s Law. Because sure as the devil will get his due, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong!”

Sweet Dreams-25...Holy F#*K, Did I just get A Life?

Chapter 25

I run to go get Alex and almost bounce into his arms because…well I think there might be something of this sort of weird truce, respect, like dislike thing with me and Adam.
And while that’s really cool.

He might just actually let Alex go to art school. I’m more happy about that than anything.

I mean if he really meant it.

But me, a lawyer?

Actually, makes sense. I’m pretty mouthy.

Alex smiles that Alex half smile. “Hey…S’up beautiful?”

World's Tallest Transsexual Lindsey Walker On Shoes, Taboos And Tattoos

Saw this article, and thought it might be intersting. She seems to be well centered (no pun intended) with her life. I wonder if she wanted to would she be allowed to play in the WNBA (a professional women's basketball league in the U.S.) or would there be some rule preventing her from playing? If she was allowed I wonder what the reaction would be?

A Foreign Country - Part 1 Chapter 1

A Foreign Country
A novel by Bronwen Welsh
'The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.' L.P.Hartley 'The Go-Between'

The spur of the moment decision to steal some money led me to a foreign country, and a future I could never have imagined in my wildest dreams.

Where are the disabled characters in TG fiction?

I'm still fairly new to this site, so I should probably start with a bit of an introduction.

As my screen name (Ragtime Rachel) indicates, I'm a ragtime enthusiast. I'm quite enamored as well of the music of the Roaring Twenties and swing eras, and have dabbled a bit in composing ragtime on the computer. (I just wish I could play the piano worth a darn....)

I'm also a male-to-female pre-op transsexual who, incidentally, has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair.

It has always amazed me that I have never seen a protagonist in transgender fiction who is like me--a wheelchair user with a neurological disorder.

I just thought that readers might be interested in this article in the Daily mail; a paper not usually noted for liberal compassionate views.

My (Extra) Ordinary Family -- My Kid Is Transgender" Wednesd

On ABC-TV tonight there will be a show concerning transgendered teen and pre-teens. I have no idea what the bias is or if it is well done. A review can be found at the link below. I also do not know the bias of the review.

The show teaser indicates they will be a MtF and a FtM discussed.

A Little Gossip, A Little Chat, A little Idle Talk...

It's been a tough 4 or 5 years. Let's see, I told my kids I was transsexual, my church refused to renew my pastor's license, One of my children informed me in no uncertain terms that he wished I HAD killed my self about 3 or 4 years ago. And, it grieves me so but I have to admit, if only to myself (Okay, and all of you!!) that my marriage was shattered years ago, what little is left has been held together my my love, my unwillingness to give up, and a barrel of superglue.

I wish to thank Top Cow for such great characters and give them kudos for showing the development of a lesbian relationship in mainstream comics.

To borrow a line from Ross Perot,

Okay, now here's the deal.

I have agonized for months, re: my feminine presentation. Having somewhat low self esteem regarding my overall presentation, I have never, I repeat, NEVER considered myself female looking enough to be comfortable in public. That has gone by the boards. Over the last few months there have been more than a few instances where I have been accepted by people who have no other reason to accept that I am who and what I appear to be. To be accepted simply as just another female is still heady stuff for me, but I LOVE it!

Author’s Note: When I first wrote this little tale, I thought of entering it in the Romance contest. Somehow, due to my negligence, this wasn’t done. I wish to do so now so that should anything become of it, the ‘team’ of Andrea Lena DiMaggio, Alison Mary, and Belle Meade get the recognition they truly deserve.

tg case in alberta could be historic

This case of a transgendered teacher here in alberta could end up being historic. Right now, transgendered persons are not protected under our human rights laws. If the courts so choose however, they could "read it in", and force the goverment to change the law, like what happened 10 years ago with gays. Here is hoping thats what happens.

Murphy's Law : Book 2 | Red Harvest - Part 2 - Scenes 4 - 6

Murphy's Law
Book II: Red Harvest
Part II: Scenes IV-VI
By Josie

Jack Murphy once again delves into the murky underworld to find a missing girl. Armed with only his dry-wit and cynicism, he journeys to a quiet little farm town called Waterston. It’s a beautiful place, renown for its cherries and the orchards that dotted the landscape against the rolling green hills beyond. But it’s also a world where the hunter becomes the hunted and where the forces of good collide with the evil cloaked in the myth and mysticism of an ancient belief.

It’s also a place where some find the "Red Harvest sinfully wild to enjoy, while others find nothing more than disappointment and regret . . ."

Part II: Scenes XI-XIX

“Murphy understood the law and knew justice. He also knew that the two were often not the same. To catch the bad guy and win a confession, you had to be willing to step outside the box and take chances. That’s what made him a great cop. But that didn’t give him the right to take the law in his own hands. All he had to do was have a boy examined to confirm his true gender and now his mistake in handling the affair was going to cost him.

9 year old changes gender

I found online an article from the Sun newspaper in England that a 9 year old child has transitioned from boy to girl. I dont know how reliable a sourse they are, as they also have an article saying they found a picture of the loc ness monster on google earth. But, if its true, i feel kinda conflicted. I am happy for this girl, but part of me worries that this is too early. I would have taken a transition at 9, and it might have been a mistake. I just hope she doesnt end up regretting her decision.

It's Always The Shoes (or, My Life Is A Cheesy TG Story)

So, today I had my first in-person, face-to-face job interview since I transitioned a couple of months ago. I haven't heard back officially yet, but it felt like... but I'm getting ahead of the story. Let me back up a bit.

Back in December I was admitted by ambulance to the local first aid station (hospital) with "Ventricular Arithmia / Tachecardia" which is a fancy way of saying I was having an electrical storm in part of my heart... and this was causing blood to slow its circulation and because it wasn't getting enough oxygen... it was beating faster and faster.

It's called "in forma pauperis...in English, a poor person application.

Dreams

We all have dreams, at least I hope you do. Our dreams, not aspirations, probably reflect many of our desires, fears, hopes and events in the past and expected. I see it expressed in many of the stories concerning transformation that the persons dreams are permeated with the individual being in the physical form they have desired. They dream about finding their ideal partner, and other fantasy filled scenarios relating to their transgendered state.

Pigtails Are For Girls — Part 13
Chapters 27-28

By Katherine Day

Jarod seeks to live through another school year, trying to be a boy.
He faces bullying and harassment at the urban school, even while finding acceptance as 'one of the girla'

I have received my "carry letter" today!!!

I fully realize that this is not a 'get out of jail, free' card, yet I feel as though I have just been, finally, given permission, not that I needed permission, to finally begin being the person I should always have been. I am ecstatic at the moment, and only waiting for the go ahead to begin my real life test.
