To use @Voice Aloud Reader on my Samsung tablet I move a copy of the file I want read to a @Voice Aloud folder. Since last night, rather than a copy of the file moving, I'm getting what appears to be a CloudFlare message appearing in the @Voice Aloud Reader folder. I'm using Chrome to view BCTS. (EDIT) I just installed Firefox on my tablet with the same results as Chrome.
The Title of the message shows up as:
Just a moment...
Text of the message follows:

The Cloudflare page that BCTS is being routed through has broken my @Voice Aloud Reader (text to speech) on my Samsung Android tablet again. I can route to and read the stories on BCTS using my eyes just fine, but when I select a story to be read with @Voice Aloud Reader, the text from the Cloudflare page is what gets sent to the @Voice Aloud Reader app. I've tried clearing the history in the browser I'm using (Chrome) with no change/improvement.

The last few days I've been occasionally getting "Error 503 Service Unavailable" mesages when I change pages. The issue seems to be getting more frequent. Is this likely an issue on your end, in the middle somewhere, or on my end?
I experienced several "Service Temporarily Unavailable" message pages last evening and just experienced 2 this morning. Is this an issue you know about, or is there a problem on my end?
This week's PBSFrontline program is titled Growing Up Trans. Synopsis: A report on transgender children and their parents. Included: medical interventions that are increasingly offered at younger ages.
For me it's on Tuesday 6/30 9:00 PM - 10:30PM CDT. Check you local listings for the night and time in your area. The program will also be available online beginning 6/30 per the preview I just watched.
The last few days I've been having trouble with the website. I've been periodically getting the Cloudfare cached site or a service unavailable error page (error 603 - I think). After a few minutes (or several minutes). I've been able to get back in. Are you having volume or system issues or being attacked? When the service is working, it doesn't seem slow
Previously I had my viewing preferences set so that I see the most recent story comments first rather than at the end of the comments list. The order has changed somehow so that the newest comments are at the bottom of the page. Can I still view comments in descending order, and, if so, how do I accomplish that?
This video has gone viral; so, many of you may have seen it already, but if you haven't, it's something to see. This is Washington State (Republican) Representative Maureen Walsh's heartfelt remarks on ESSB 6239 (same sex marriage in Washington State) during the recent pre-vote debate.
Monday on the Capital 4th program on PBS, I was blown away by Kelli O'Hara's voice in a duet with Matthew Morrison singing Tonight from West Side Story. I was not previously familiar with Ms O'Hara. The performance is posted here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NT5VUulLssg . The duet starts about 4:17. It's well worth watching if you haven't seen it.
I've loved Eva Cassidy's music for a long time and have read about her sad story. I recently learned of a special segment that ABC Nightline did on her in the early 2000's and remembered to look for it tonight on YouTube. It's a very good cry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXU219b3Zdw
I ran across "Agnes and His Brothers" while poking around the Netflix site. It's a German film about 3 siblings (one being a transgendered woman) trying to find happiness. The movie is more than a bit strange with many of the characters behaving quite badly, and I can't say I really understood some of the elements of Agnes's story within the movie all that well. There are some darkly humorous and absurd moments. Agnes is well accepted by her family and by the people she comes in contact with. I thought the male actor that plays her did a credible job.
In Dear Abby's column today (05/27 - second item) "Nervous in Northern California" asked if she should tell her employer that a person that she had already recommended for a job is transgendered. Check out Abby's answer: http://www.arcamax.com/dearabby/s-551129-469043
Netflix has a lot of different things available. Among them are some special Ed Sullivan Shows. I just got a DVD with the full shows that contain (I think) the 2nd and 3rd Beatles appearances on the show. To get to my point: The 02/23/1964 show also has a puppet group on it called Pinky and Perky. That caught my attention as both Susan Brown (Billy Two Shoes) and Jamie Hayworth (Susie and Jeffrey) have used those names in recent stories. Were the puppets famous, or is this just a coincidence, or is their another tie in that I'm just not familiar with?
I'm reading Elizabeth George's Inspector Lynley novels as I liked the TV series, and it's been long enough since I've seen the shows and my brain is small enough that I don't remember who done it. Anyway, one of the suspects said, "Hoist with my own petard" ("Payment in Blood" Ch 13) in response to being questioned about a previous lie that had been exposed.
My spouse and I were out walking our dog a couple of days ago. As we approached an intersection, a cyclist rode up on the opposite side of the street, stopped, and promptly fell over (fortunately onto some grass). She said that she was alright and had forgotten that her shoes were attached to the pedals. I know about tow clipless pedals.
The race coverage is pretty good here in the US with one of the cable networks (VS. - www.versus.com) showing each stage live and then showing 4 re-broadcasts throughout the day. They have Phil Liggett, Paul Sherman, Bob Roll, and Craig Hummer doing most of the announcing.
