The last few days I've been having trouble with the website. I've been periodically getting the Cloudfare cached site or a service unavailable error page (error 603 - I think). After a few minutes (or several minutes). I've been able to get back in. Are you having volume or system issues or being attacked? When the service is working, it doesn't seem slow

cacheburp

At least a couple of times in recent days Cloudflare has burped and we've had to pat it on the back until it feels better. Previous experience means I refuse to say everything else is fine because the moment you do that it isn't.

We're working on this

The site has been down twice today, we've gotten it back up both times but Piper is not available to look into the problems because of moving and an rescue mission to retrieve another BC author from a sticky situation. Cat and I will keep bringing it back up until Piper can get here to find out why.

Extra data point

I have been unable to get in until now for about 15 hours or so. The site just times out or gives me an immediate 503.

- This morning, while looking at my firewall logs I have noticed snort messages indicating an XSS attempt from an IP address that resolves to CloudFlare. These were dated around the time I tried last night - 23:00 UTC.

I know that

I know that, and I know that calls to BCTS will probably be routed via CloudFlare. It is more likely that any CloudFlare reference I get is because of a BCTS access than to anywhere else.

The important point was the XSS flag! Was somebody trying to get one onto the site?
