Tom Spencer stood back from the crowd gathered round the Mona Lisa, Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting. He hated crowds and wondered why he had ever bothered to come to the Louvre. 'Obligation,' he told himself. When in Paris for the first time, one had to see all the sights.

Part One

Sir Eric decided to take a short cut through the forest. He was a 6’ tall. The sun glittered on his flaxen hair.

Suddenly he heard high-pitched laughter coming from his right side. He decided to see who could be out on a nice, sunny day. He peeked through some branches. He saw a lovely maiden. She appeared to be in her late teens, with her long golden hair flowing around her face and shoulders like a halo. Her complexion was so fair and clear, just like a porcelain doll.

CHAPTER 12
Nana ran us up by Eskdale Moor and Burnmoor Tarn the next day, sticking to the track and the footbridges, but there was still bog, and I understood her insistence of doing without socks as the mud splashed my legs and soaked through the canvas of my shoes.
