Chapter one:

Life has a flavour to it, at least I like to think so. Psychologists call it "Neuro-associative-conditioning" which tells you absolutely nothing about anything. The gist of it is that as human beings, we experience reality subjectively. And when we experience that reality, we instinctively attach emotions to the experience.

A story I wrote for my friend Tammi. She picked ending number two.

The wind blew dust and last years remnants of leaves across the sidewalk. It was not a big wind, more of a breeze really. It did little more than make most adults crave the safety of air conditioned comfort
However for the children it was just another summers day. Two such children were walking along a cement path towards the center of the park.

Chapter one:

"So this is what dying is like, huh?" I though to myself as I lay against the bathroom wall. Ceramic tiles glinted in the cool moonlight, providing the only illumination to a room otherwise submerged in darkness. "Hope it's as much fun as it looks."

Would it not work with her so far from the Gray One’s office? This place must be empty of magic, or the Gray One would have rescued her by now — perhaps the return spell would not work here.
