“Look, how can you not understand that I have always needed to be a woman?”
“You stupid fuckin faggit, all I ever wanted was a man with a dick! I told you 20 fuckin years ago that if you wanted that, you need to go be a whore or find yourself a rich man to do that for you! You sure as hell don’t fill my needs! All you are is a goddamned fag that couldn’t accept the fact that he was gay so he thought he had to be a female!”
This chapter may not seem like it's talking about Mom at all, but it'll make sense in a while, okay? Her early years were a bit…different to what most probably expect. I wrote this in first person, because that's the way Mom's diaries and journals are written and it just seemed the best way. I've tried to capture her 'voice', and I think it sounds about right. Enjoy!
As we prepare to renew our marriage vows, I can’t help but remember the past. Pat and I have been married now for ten years.
During that time we have been through many trials and tribulations.
I kept quiet about the whole thing when I was in the car with Grace. This dressing up like a girl thing, the wedding, Trey, it was all freaking me out.
And here I was, dressed in a pair of Grace's shorts and a spaghetti strap top, riding with her to a beauty salon. I was also wearing a little makeup that Grace had applied shortly after picking me up from Trey's.

Part 4: Full Moons, the Boyfriend and the Kiss

PLEASE, if you read part 2 before I edited and added to it, re-read that before reading this.
Part 2 is now roughly twice as long as it was originally.
Meanwhile, here is part three, hope ya like it!
It started like the usual summer fare; glad to be out of school for the summer, just hanging around with friends, the usual Summer Vacation stuff. I was luxuriating in the feeling of being away from school and not having to learn anything. Then I heard my Uncle Dave had tried to kill himself over the Fourth of July holiday; almost succeeded, too, but he, or should I say, she is doing better now and I will be referring to her in the feminine from this point on since she is my Aunt Dawn now.
There’s less than a week, now, until school starts at my new high school. I do hope I don’t have to write up a “What I did on my summer vacation” essay. That would be totally embarrassing, and not a good intro to a new school.
My name is Mike. Well to follow Mom’s latest rules, it’s Michelle Elizabeth Williamson. Life has been kind of weird lately. Mostly, Mom has been acting really strange. Not that she can be considered normal by most standards, but that is another story.
She woke up early, excited about the day. She turned over in bed and was greeted by a warm, welcoming kiss from her love, which made her think twice, but only briefly before rising for the day. She got up, went to her dresser, found everything in order and put on her favorite lingerie. After putting on her hose, she walked to her closet to find her favorite outfit, the charcoal silk full skirted dress, which went oh so well with the charcoal grey pumps. After putting it on she walked to her vanity and sat down and applied her makeup, making her feel so lovely and attractive. Her love came to her with a nice cup of tea and placed it on the vanity, freeing them both for another warm embrace and kiss.
My wife said, "Terri, you will be my best girlfriend and do exactly what I say, won't you sweetie? You know I like those bullet bras and the frilly Southern Belle dresses. I really want you to wear them every day, they show off your pretty figure so beautifully." I thought the mind therapy tape sessions must really be controlling my brain, but I did not care. I loved the 50's looks, bullet bras, tight girdles, nylons, and those high heels. That was all I could think of.
