Clark and his twin sister Kelly are not as close as he'd like them to be. Clark is a shy clumsy loner and Kelly is more athletic, outgoing and popular. She's also a very determined ballerina and the only one their parents seem to care about. That all seemingly changes when Kelly breaks her leg while practicing for an upcoming recital. Their mother, along with Kelly's teacher, decide the best course of action is to find a replacement. One who looks very similar to her.
Eli grew up on a ranch in Montana. He had heard about Incursions, Breaches, and the Titans that came through those breaches to slaughter some people and capture others. To him though, it had always been something that happened far away to other people. His life was forever changed though when a Breach opened near his home, everything he knew was destroyed or taken, and he ended up Altered.
Altered Chapter 23: Trial

The big man was wavering almost instantly, struggling to keep on his feet and keep glaring at me. “Wha… d’you do?”
The streets darkened and shadows fell across the landscape as the sun set into the horizon. Gregory Steeles zipped his jacket feeling the temperature drop slightly. This was his favourite time to walk around town, enjoying the shift into evening. A gradual change from bright, cheery sunlight to the dark, hidden shadows of night.

Marcia is seventeen, and along with Darryl, has moved south in Alaska to attend the Anchorage campus of the Alaska State University. She wants to pursue her dream, but will it pursue her instead?
I want to thank Malady, once again, for his help checking through this story for the many errors I frequently insert, as well as listening to my sometimes completely crazy ideas about the direction of the story and telling me how crazy they are!
Chapter 3.16
June 9th,
2023
Chatham
Yardworks, North Pole
2:46PM
The office
building was half a block off the main drag in North Pole, but there
was a large sign that was placed at the corner, pointing down the
cross street letting people know where they were. Beside the office
was a salon on one side, and Ross’ Diner, the same fast food
joint where Chet had finally realized how he felt about Mage, on the
other.
Bob pulled
the car he and Mike were driving into the parking lot. They’d
called ahead and found out that it had been a busy day at the office,
so when they got out of the car, they went to the diner and ordered
some burgers for the office staff, which consisted of Rick and his
wife Carla.
Anika stands in front of the mirrors as she admires herself in the wedding dress she picked out. She was still amazed at what the Blue Lace drug had done to her body with Jack’s blood added to it. Something about Jack’s blood has physically changed her. It had hurt like hell as his blood coursed through her body.
“I think that’s the one for you, mom.” Justice couldn’t believe that Ron and Anika had adopted her. That had been a year ago, and now she was calling Anika’s mom.
“How much power does she have?” Von asked, looking at the dark lines covering the sky.
The Screechers flew over head, greatly reduced in number after most of them had tried to swarm the artillery and machine guns only to die as they touched the strands of necromantic magic. Rockets and scatter guns were quickly killing the rest.
Well, it has been awhile. Rather than work on an original horror short, I managed to get this done. It is vaguely horror themed, so I'm going to say it counts. I'll try not to be such a stranger here anymore.
She did a twirl, which was adorable and would have been much
prettier if she’d had room for her dress to flare out without bumping
into the walls and furniture.
I woke up when I heard Mom stumble in about 5:30 in the morning. She yelled something obscene at someone then slammed the front door and laughed like she’d said the funniest thing ever.
In an effort to help her stepdaughter Airelle, and also to avoid bloodshed in Ulik's civil war, Necromantra proposes a daring plan to rescue the princess from the fortress city of Roch. But every move she might make toward her goal is froth with danger. Even if her plan succeeds, there is no way of telling what the fallout of it might be.
Chapter 1
I find myself stumbling across the brush that fills the valley. My memory of how I got here was a complete blank. The last thing I remember was loading up to go on a convoy to Kandahar. I no longer have my weapon with me. I still have my body armor and assault pack with me. Soot and blood cover my uniform.
I touch my head and feel it wet and sticky. Blood is covering my face. Grabbing my first aid kit from my body armor, I proceed to wrap my head wound. My head is still pounding in pain.
My head is throbbing and I can't focus on anything. It feels like I've been put through a wringer. My memory is fuzzy, I seem to have conflicting memories that I can't get straight. I don't know what's going on, I remember being in a fight using a sword but also being blown up in a HUMVVEE. The fog is starting to clear and I can and I can start to piece things together.
In a world where dreams aren't always what they seem, and spells can take hold of those most dear to you, closet monsters may be more than just childish imagination.
CAUTION: There's a really creepy scene in this story. If something like that might bother you, then please be careful.

It was a fifteen minute walk from the school to Zack's house. All the way there, Zack contemplated how she'd break the news to her parents. Would she text them before she got home to tell them what happened? Would she knock on the door and say hi before telling them the whole story? Hundreds of different scenarios played out in her mind, each even worse than the last.
Once the opposition legal team had introduced themselves, I made myself comfortable and let the proceedings begin. Lane had hardly asked his first question when ‘they’ objected to the presence of Amy.
“I appreciate the…offer,” Jen shifted uncomfortably in front of Sheena’s desk. “But…First Girl I…I don’t think this is the job for me.”
“I disagree, Jenise”, Sheena said, placing emphasis on the last quarter of Jen’s name. She grinned inwardly as Jen grimaced at the use of her full name. “You have shown great proficiency in your position, and to put it all forward, my dear, you cannot spend the entirety of your service career scrubbing…shit. ‘Tis a new word I learned. Shit. Does it suit me?”
This was originally written for Sapphire's Halloween story contest, but the stories have yet to be published. She's still free to post the story eventually on her site, but I decided to finally go ahead and post it here.
The whole point of summer vacation was to give kids a two-to-three month break from school, wasn't it? So why even have summer school? That just totally defeated the purpose. But Zack's parents insisted that he needed it, so here he was, sitting in the classroom while listening to Mrs. Swanson drone on and on about math.
What would you do to get ahead in life, in love? Would you turn your life upside down; move to a foreign country; abandon your job, your home, your family? But you wouldn't change your sex! Would you?

Sisters Forever I Wish Book 3 by Amethyst Buy on Kindle
"Granny, Granny, please tell us a story! Pretty please, Granny!" said nine year old Linda as she sat on the floor with her twin sister Julia.
They had on matching sky blue blouses and navy blue skorts which each had embroidered a red rose with green stem and leaves as well as the first initial of their name. They both looked precious in their white knee socks and black Mary Jane's. Each of them looked intently at me with their deep blue eyes, resisting the temptation to twirl their long blonde hair in their fingers, since they loved my stories.
Before I could answer, Julia burst out, "Tell us a new one, Granny! Pretty, please!"
