Recovering From Trauma Chapter 18 (Final Chapter)

Medical Center, Napa Valley Recovery Center:
Sara and Cindy wave goodbye to several girls as they are picked up by either their family member or by the Uber that had been arranged for them. This part of the job, the identical sisters loved.

“It’s good to see those girls going back to their families or with new families.” Cindy looks at her twin while watching the cars drive away.

“Me too, sis. It’s good to see the guys and some of the girls experimented on returning to either their biological families or with their new adopted families.” Sara loved how she felt when the women they treated either returned to their families or started a new life.

“You did make sure they had the emergency number, just in case they need us.” Sara looks back at her twin sister.

“Yes, I did. Oh! Alex sent a request to have Jessica and Jake, along with the girl named Brandi/ Zoom to meet him at training grounds Delta.” Cindy had gotten an email from their older brother.

“I wonder why Alex wants Jessica and Jake to meet him there?” Sara knew Alex did metahuman research. According to the last time she talked with him, he was working on the DNA structure of people with special abilities.

“Who knows, but Alex, Kelly, Aunt Janet, their cousin Rebecca, and her twin brother Reid are experts on people born or who acquire unique abilities.”

“Who knows, but he and his twin sister are among the top researchers in that area. The only person who even comes close to them are Mom and Aunt Janet.” Sara knew her mother’s twin was just as smart as her mother.

“I’ll let them know. Maybe Brandi will have someone her age to train with.” Cindy knew her mother had a specialized team working for her. She knew her second cousin, Robyn, and cousin Sasha had super abilities, along with Sasha’s protégé, who could start fires instantly.

“So, how is your pregnancy going so far?” Sara looks at her twin sister.

“It’s going okay. I never knew getting pregnant by a supernatural creature was so intense. Even mom doesn’t understand the supernatural, or how they can change from humans into their animal forms.”

“Speaking of the supernatural. I wonder if that was what changed Pat’s team?” Sara hadn’t thought about that and was considering mentioning it to her brother.

“I don’t know. You might want to mention it to Alex.” Cindy knew some somethings couldn’t be explained with normal science

“Well, I am happy that most of the places that produce those awful drugs that change people are reducing.” Cindy knew there were several teams across the United States putting an end to the drugs.

Her sister Felica and the people she was working with down in Texas have stopped a major supplier of the drugs coming into the United States.

“I hope Mom and her teams can find out where all the recent illegal experiments are being done.” Cindy was worried by the reports they have been getting.

“I know.” Sara felt sorry for some of those people, because some of those experiments didn’t end well.

“Well, let's go back to work.” Sara knew they still had a lot to do.

“Yeah, my desk has a stack of new cases coming our way.” Cindy knew she was going to be stuck in her office for the rest of the day.

“I hope those ladies leaving have a nice life.”

“Me to sis. Me too.” Cindy knew they still had more ladies and men to help.
