How Bad Life Is For The Other Gender

Wolfe County, Kentucky, March 15, 2001:
A poor, uneducated young teenage girl of fifteen years old gives birth to a baby girl. The thirty-year-old man who had gotten her pregnant stood just outside the bedroom where two older women helped her through the birthing process. The older man had been hoping the girl would give him a boy, instead of a girl. He wanted a boy to carry on his bloodline.

When he was informed that the teenage girl had given birth to a baby girl, he stormed out of the run-down house they were living in and drove off into the storm. Several hours later, he would be found dead after hitting a huge tree. According to the police report, a tire had blown, causing him to hydroplane around the curve and right into the old tree.

The death of the man marked the one hundredth victim that had been killed by that tree. As for the teenage girl, she was informed the next day, after the man’s body was pulled and identified from the mangled wreckage of the old pickup truck. The girl showed no emotion for the death of the man who got her pregnant and left after giving birth to their daughter.

A few years would go by before the teenage girl got married again to another man several years older than her and gave him three sons. As for her firstborn, she named her Sam and did the bare minimum to care for her. All the girl was good for was a welfare check. When the boys came along, she cared more for them than her oldest.

Sam learned a hard lesson early in life when she started developing at the age of eight years old. Her chest started to develop faster than the other girls she attended elementary school with. She had to start wearing a bra because her breast tissue was getting bigger and bigger each month. She also started developing pubic hair under her armpits, legs, and in her groin area. On top of that, she had her first period during gym class at school.

That was a shocking experience for her, because no one ever explained what that meant. Luckily, the school nurse took her and explained what it meant. When the nurse tried to reach Sam’s mother to inform her about her daughter. She couldn’t get in touch with her.

Sam was picked up by her stepfather later in the day. She caught him looking at her with a weird look on his face. She felt uneasy being stared at by him.

Several days went by, and her stepfather kept watching her. He even stepped into the bathroom when she was taking a bath, pretending to bring her a towel. On the July Fourth weekend, her mother and stepfather invited their relatives and friends over to the house to celebrate the holiday. There was a lot of drinking, and her stepfather, along with several men she didn’t know, gave her a clear-looking liquid in a mason jar to drink.
She felt her throat burn when she drank the weird-tasting liquid. She noticed a smirk appear on her stepfather’s face as he encouraged her to drink more. Before long, she was so wasted that she was having trouble standing. She felt her stepfather pick her up and take her to the barn. Several men followed behind Sam’s stepfather into the barn.

The next day, Sam wakes up and finds herself naked and hurting between her legs. Her head felt so heavy, and she felt sick to her stomach. She started throwing up, and when she started to move, pain flared up from between her legs. As she tries to steady herself when she stands up, her bladder releases its contents, and she starts peeing. As her urine started coming out, it burned. She looks around and notices she is in the barn naked. Her throat hurt, and she had a sticky substance covering her body and mouth.

She stumbles out of the barn and towards the house. She spots her mother and looks towards her with tears in her eyes.

“Go clean up and start cleaning up this mess.” Sam’s mother saw how her oldest looked and knew what the men did to Sam. As far as she was concerned, they should have killed her.

Sam does what she is told and gets dressed in the secondhand clothes her mother bought her. Her brother’s got brand new items, and gifts they wanted. After she is cleaned and dressed, she cleans up the mess left over from the celebration.

During the following months, her mother and brothers became more abusive towards her. Her mother told them that she wasn’t related to them by blood. She was just some orphan girl who had been left on the front porch.

She was taken out of school when she turned thirteen years old. Her breasts had become bigger than her mother’s and shapelier. Even her body was shapelier than her mother’s.

Her mother and stepfather moved her out to the barn and made her live out there. Some mornings, she would wake up hurting between her legs or even her mouth and not know why. Also, strange men would come by the farm and use her for their pleasure. When she resisted, she was beaten by them.

Sometimes, the men made her dress up in animal costumes and make her run into the nearby woods and hunt her for sport. They would never shoot her with real bullets but use plastic pellets or even rock salt. Sometimes, they would sic their hunting dogs on her and let them bite her.

When she turned fifteen years old, she discovered that she was pregnant with her stepfather’s baby. Her mother got so mad that she made Sam drink a holistic drink that caused Sam to have a miscarriage. Sam’s mother just looked at her as she lay bleeding on the barn floor and said that she would never allow her to have babies.

Sam’s mother turned and walked out of the barn. Sam waited until midnight and ran away from the house. She had been planning on doing so since her stepfather started coming out in the middle of the night and forcing himself on her.

During the night, snow started falling, and she was shivering because the only thing she had to wear was an old flannel dress with blood on the bottom of it. She fled into the woods and tripped over a fallen rotten tree, and rolled down into the Red River. She clung to a fallen tree branch because she didn’t know how to swim. She floated downriver with the current and was pushed onto a riverbank.

Charlie had decided to go fishing and to check out how bad the storm had been last night. He loved it when it snowed and covered everything in white. It made the woods look so innocent. He gets into his small fishing boat and starts traveling down the river with his trusted hunting hound by his side.

Just as he turned a bend in the river, he spotted a small figure lying on the side of the bank. He maneuvers his boat over to that side of the riverbank and spots a small form lying face-first on the bank. He pulled up close to the person and discovered the person was wearing a red flannel nightshirt.

He gets out of his boat and carefully walks over to the person. He tries to check the person’s pulse, but the skin is wet and cold. He leaned close to the person and could hear that they had shallow breaths. When he turns the person over onto their back, he discovers that the person was a teenage girl with a huge chest. She was wearing a flannel nightshirt, and her feet were wrapped in rags.

“I don’t know who you are, Missy, but this is no place for a girl like you.” Charlie picks the girl up and carries her back to his boat, and lays her down in it, and takes her back to his cabin.

When Charlie strips the girl out of her wet clothes, he notices various scars and festering wounds on her body. Some were teeth marks, while others looked like someone had shot at her with rock salt or plastic pellets filled shotgun shells. The poor girl was running a fever, and her skin was clammy. He noticed she had half-healed bruises covering her entire body.

“Who did this to you, little lady?” He tends to her wounds and makes her comfortable on his bed.

He starts making some broth for her to drink. While the broth was heating up, he rubbed some peppermint vapor rub onto her chest. He is careful when he does it. He spots where someone had branded her in her cleavage with a large skull brand and left several cigar marks on her breasts.

He notices her body had numerous marks where people had branded her with a hot poker or even the end of a barrel after it had been fired. He has seen his men tortured like this while serving overseas. Her back was covered in whip marks, both fresh and healed. Her wrist had scars from where someone had tied her up with rope. The scars were still a little red. Someone enjoyed abusing this young girl.

He props the girl up and tries to get her to drink some broth to bring her body temperature back up. He manages to get her to drink some of the broth and lets her go back to sleep. Charlie looks down towards his hound dog, “Looks like we’re going to have company for a while, Jack.” He rubs the top of Jack’s head and walks into the living room and enjoy some strong coffee.

The next four days, the weather turns bad, and Charlie must bring in more firewood. Luckily, Charlie had already prepared for the harsh weather. All his wood was seasoned and protected, so it stayed dry. He checks on the girl and makes sure her body temperature returns to normal and that she is comfortable.

Sunday morning, Sam opens her eyes to discover that she is lying on someone’s bed and is covered with several heavy blankets. She smelled peppermint covering her chest and found she could breathe better. She smelled something savory floating in the air, causing her mouth to start watering.

Charlie tasted the deer stew he had prepared and added a little bit more spice to it. He would give it a few more hours to cook in the fireplace. He stands up and turns to walk into his bedroom. A smile appears on his face when he notices that the girl he rescued was awake and looking towards him.

“Well, welcome back, little girl. How do you feel?” Charlie walks into the bedroom and notices her bringing blankets closer to her body.

Sam spots a man with short salt and pepper hair, wearing a flannel shirt and blue jeans, walking towards the bedroom. She pulls the blanket tighter to her, hoping to use it to protect her. She watches as the man stops at the foot of the bed and looks down at her.

He had a strong voice and sharp looks like someone who has seen a lot of bad things. She saw it in his eyes. He wasn’t like the other men who assaulted her or used her for their pleasure.

“Tired and sore. Where am I? And who are you?” Sam noticed her throat still hurt, but felt a little better.

Charlie noticed how hoarse the girl’s voice sounded. He turns back around and steps back into the living room and grabs a cup, and makes her some tea with honey. He walks back into the room. “Here, drink this, and I’ll answer your questions.”

Sam tries sitting up in the huge bed. The man has stepped closer to the bed to hand her the coffee cup. She accepts it and sniffs the contents.

A smirk appears on Charlie’s face. “I promise, I’m not trying to drug you.”

Sam takes a sip from the old coffee mug. She could taste the honey in it, and as it slides down her sore throat, soothing it as it flows down into her stomach.

“You’re in my cabin about forty miles outside of town. As for who I am? My name is Charlie Prickett. I found you lying on the riverbank, almost dead. I brought you back to my cabin to tend to you. This here is my hunting dog, Jack. He’s been looking after you as well. Now that you know
my name. What is yours, and why were you unconscious on the side of the riverbank?”

Sam looks at the big man and the hound dog standing next to him. She shivers when she thinks about all the times she has been chased by those dogs and what they did to her.

“My name is Sam Wyatt, and I ran away from my abusive family.” Sam had a sad look on her face.

Charlie noticed that Sam was ready to cry and had a sad look on her face. He’s heard of the Wyatts, but didn’t think any of them were still around.

“Your father wouldn’t have been John Wyatt, would he?” Charlie wonders if she was related.

Sam nods her head yes. Her mother had given her her birth certificate, and she remembered seeing her father’s name printed on it.

“I thought he was dead?” Charlie was curious now.

“He is. He died the day I was born. He wanted a boy but got me instead. My mother got remarried to a fellow named John Collins and gave birth to three boys from him.”

“You said your parents were abusive towards you. If you don’t mind me asking, are they responsible for all those scars and burns on you?”

“Yes, but not just them. Others who enjoyed using me for their pleasure.” Tears start falling from Sam’s eyes.

Charlie clenches his fist and tries to control his temper. He could never understand why someone would hurt a child, especially a girl. He wanted to go over and comfort Sam, but figured she was still skittish and distrustful around men.

“You’ll be safe here. I hope you are hungry, because I made stew.” He hands Sam a handkerchief.

Sam accepts it and blows her nose. Her stomach growls at the mention of food.

Charlie heard the growling. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

He turns and walks back into the living room and over to the fireplace and swings the kettle out, and serves up a helping of stew in one bowl for Sam and another bowl for himself. He grabs a spoon and carries it back into the bedroom.

“Here you go. It’s hot, so be careful.”

Sam accepts the bowl carefully and tries the stew. She nearly burns her mouth as she tries to wolf the food down. She felt the burn of the food as it went down her esophagus. She starts coughing after a few tries.

“Take it easy, Sam. I’m not going to take the food from you.” Charlie had a smile on his face, but wondered if Sam’s parents starved her.

When he took the wet nightgown off her, he saw how skinny she was. You could see her rib cage. He wonders how long they have been treating her like that.

Sam blushes from embarrassment. She eats what is in the bowl, and Charlie refills her bowl again. He also gives her some toasted garlic bread.

Over the winter months, Charlie and Sam form a father/daughter bond. He teaches her how to hunt and survive in the winter weather. He buys her clothes to wear, which was a lesson. He felt uncomfortable measuring her chest. He knew she was trusting him not to do anything and was glad Sam trusted him. He wanted to get the proper bra size for Sam.

He had been amazed at how big her chest was for a girl her age and size. He found out she was five feet tall and had a twenty-seven-inch waist and a 40-inch bust, which turned out to be a 30G cup bra. Her hips measured thirty-five inches. When he was shopping for shoes for her, he found out she was a size 5.5 in shoes and a size 6 in boots.

He felt a little embarrassed and self-conscious about buying clothes for her. He had to get help from a female salesclerk to help him pick out clothes that would allow Sam to go out in the cold. He went to another town to shop, just in case he ran into someone he knew.

After the shopping adventure/lesson. He started teaching Sam how to cook, skin animals, and preserve the meat. How to chop wood and forage for food out in the forest. He also taught her how to fish during the winter months.

As for Sam, she was enjoying learning from Charlie and playing with Jack. She wishes her life could have been like this from the beginning, instead of what it had been. According to her mother, she was just a welfare check, and what her stepfather made by selling her to those men.

For Christmas, Charlie gave her a snow globe and several other items she had been wanting for Christmas but never received. She did her best to make him a gift she found in a book. They didn’t have internet and barely cell phone service out where they lived, but they did have a landline for emergencies.

Charlie had given her some money to spend on herself, but instead bought a book she saw and made his Christmas gift from the instructions in the book. She worked on it when he was asleep or when he went hunting for dinner. When he opened it and saw what was inside, he was pleased with it.

As the winter months started to change into spring, Charlie continued to teach her. He was enjoying teaching Sam, and he saw in her eyes that she enjoyed being taught by him. She also helped him expand the cabin, so Sam could have a bedroom of her own and store more food.

When they went into town together, Charlie introduced Sam as his niece. He also introduces Sam to some of his army buddies and people Charlie was close to. She enjoyed meeting those people and helping at their property.

A few times, Sam spotted some of the men who came to the barn to either use her or hunt her down like the animal they dressed her up as. When that happened, she gripped Charlie’s hand and held on tightly to him. She tried to ignore them and was very careful around them.

At first, when Charlie felt Sam grab his hand, he wondered why. But, over time, he learned why Sam did what she did. It had taken some coaching to get to the information, but she finally opened up to him. He kept a close eye on them and stirred them away from those men. He also memorized their faces and voices, should he come across them again.

Also, during the spring and summer months, Charlie taught Sam how to plant seeds and care for them. He also continued her education on surviving and taught her how to hunt. At first, Sam was nervous about learning how to use a weapon, but over time, Charlie managed to lay her fears to rest.

He also taught her how to swim when he learned she didn’t know how. She would never wear anything that exposed her body, except her shoulders. She was self-conscious about her scars, particularly about the scars on her back.

You could tell a whip had been used to make the wounds. The man who used it on her enjoyed it a lot. There was a passionate look in his face each time he struck her with the whip. It was like the more she suffered, the more he got excited.

As for swimming, Charlie had his hands full when he taught her. She had a big issue with trusting, but she trusted him. It took Charlie about three weeks to teach Sam, but he finally managed to do it.

For Charlie’s birthday, Sam made her first birthday cake. It came out a little weird, but Charlie had liked it. She had made him a leather jacket from the skin of several deer they had hunted. She took her time making it from start to finish.

As for her birthday, Charlie learned that Sam didn’t know when it was. Whenever she asked her mother or stepfather, they always told her she didn’t deserve one or they didn’t remember. Since Sam told Charlie that her birth father had died on the day she was born. He went to Wolfe County and found out where her father was buried and got her birth date.

It turned out Sam was a March baby. He learned that her stepfather had been arrested for killing a man and was sent to prison. As for her mother, she was working at a sleaze whore house operated by a fellow who went by the name of Bishop Hof.

As for her three brothers, they were living with their uncle and aunt. According to what he learned about them, they grew and sold marijuana. Her uncle and his partner made and sold moonshine to dry counties in Kentucky.

Sometimes, Sam notices that Charlie suffers from PTSD. She once asked him what he used to do, and finally, he told her that he used to be in the military and lead a highly trained special ops team. His men had been ambushed, and he had been badly wounded. If it hadn’t been for the efforts of a highly trained Blackhawk pilot, he and his men would have died.

His injuries had been so severe that he couldn’t serve anymore and retired from the military. He grew up here in Kentucky. He decided to come back to Kentucky to settle down. He bought some land in Harlan up in the mountains and built his cabin.

Sam hugs him and now knows more about him. She was still self-conscious about her scars and refused to let other people see her scars. The only person she trusted was Charlie and some of his friends, who were kind to her.

One evening, while the two of them were sitting outside on the porch of his cabin. Sam looks at Charlie. “Charlie, do you think I could make it in the military?”

“That depends on what you want to do, sweetie. I think you can pass the physical training with my help. What would you want to do in the military?” Charlie looks at Sam and wonders what she wants to do.

“I want to be a medic and help soldiers out in the field.” Sam has been thinking about it lately, ever since she met some of the people at the local VFW with Charlie.

“I think you would make a good field medic. You’re already a crack shot with a rifle and know all about tracking and holistic medicine. Just promise me you don’t become a combat soldier or join a special ops team. I would hate to see anything happen to you.” Charlie saw Sam as his adopted daughter.

“I promise.”

Over the next two years, Charlie prepares Sam for Army boot camp. He also signs her up for volunteer paramedic training, so she can see what she will be getting herself into. He helps her get her GED and takes her down to the local Army recruiting office. On the day she is to leave for boot camp, he hugs her and places a kiss on her forehead.

“Be careful and write me.”

“I promise.” Sam boards the bus and waves goodbye to Charlie.

For the next twenty-six weeks, Sam busted her ass during basic training and during her Combat Medic Specialist Training. She also keeps up her gun training. She promised Charlie she wouldn’t become a foot soldier, but she didn’t promise she wouldn’t upkeep her shooting training.

She writes Charlie every week, letting him know what she is doing. She also sends pictures of the places she visits, and in her uniform. She does miss him and being home, but she was learning a lot. She informs him that some of the regular soldiers have nicknamed her Nurse Nightingale. Because of her ample bust and how her uniform sticks out a lot.

Sam informs Charlie that during her physical exam, her OB/GYN. Her doctor found a lot of scarring inside her vaginal canal. He informed her that he could reduce some of it to reduce the pain she has been feeling lately.

He also informed her that she may not be able to have children because of what her mother did to her. In the letter, she lets Charlie know that, in some ways, she is relieved she can’t have children again. But she also felt sad that she could never experience what it is like to give birth.

Sam informs Charlie that she will be sent overseas to assist a special ops team. She knows she promised that she wouldn’t, but she had no choice in her orders. Just before Sam is sent, Charlie calls Sam on her cell phone. He tells her to be careful and, if she has to, to use the skills he taught her to survive.

Syria Border:
“Hey, Nurse Wyatt, is this your first time away from the US?” Specialist Garcia looks over towards the big-busted field medic traveling with them.

“Yes, I’ve never been away from the US before.” Sam looks towards Garcia and wonders how long he has been in the service.

“Well, don’t you worry. The guys and I will watch out for you.” A shitty ass grin appears on his face.

“Thanks, but I can take care of myself.” Sam knew she could shoot and was just as good as some of the snipers she had met. Charlie taught her well.

“You sure about that, Wyatt?” Billy looks over towards their busty medic.

“I’m sure.” Sam closes her eyes and leans back against her seat.

The next day, after they landed at the base and got situated. She is assigned to the special ops team she traveled to Syria with. The guys on the team tease her about her last name being Wyatt. Some of them ask her if she is related to Wyatt Earp. They also tease her about her vest having to compress her ample bust flat.

For the first four days while they are out on patrol, nothing happens. It’s on the fifth day when their Humvees get ambushed and flipped over by an explosion. Sam has her hands full tending to her team members when they come under fire. Their sniper, Billy, gets shot in his right shoulder and left leg. The sniper on the other side that shot him was still firing at them.

Sam takes care of the men in her team. Once she stabilizes them, she grabs Billy’s sniping rifle and aims at the enemy sniper. She remembers the lessons Charlie taught her before she joined the military. She takes aim and sights on the enemy sniper. She pulls the trigger and nails him.
Then she concentrates on the enemy coming towards her and her teammates. She takes down several of them before they turn around and retreat.

Corporal Jones couldn’t believe what he saw, while he stayed hidden by the overturned hummer. Nurse Wyatt had not only tended to the wounded among them, but also taken Billy’s sniping rifle. He watched as she took down the enemy sniper and several of the enemy combatants coming towards them. He wonders where she learned to shoot like she did.

Sam rests her head against the butt of the sniping rifle and takes slow, even breaths. She did exactly as Charlie had taught her. Shooting at the enemy was a whole lot different than shooting at empty cans, mason jars, and animals.

“Where did you learn to shoot like that, Wyatt?” Billy looks at Sam and wonders where she learned how to use his sniping rifle.

Sam turns to look at Billy, “My adopted father taught me how to shoot. We used to go hunting for our meals during the winter months.”

After resting for a few minutes, Sam goes about checking on each of her patients, while Corporal Jones calls for an emergency pickup. Sam stops and takes a sip of water from her canteen while preparing her fellow soldiers for transport.

Once the helicopter lands and transports the wounded to the medical facility. Sam goes back to the tent where she is sleeping and crashes. She was feeling exhausted after the whole ordeal.

Word spreads about Sam’s action out in the field with the special ops team. Whenever the team goes back out in the field, she is always requested to join them. She and Billy become shooting buddies. Sometimes she is challenged by other snipers or specialists on the gun range.

Sam tries to turn down their challenge, but is forced to accept it. She was trying to keep her promise to Charlie. Sometimes it was for the reputation of the unit she was assigned to. She didn’t want to make them look bad.

She does two tours in Syria before she is reassigned to another field hospital. The person in charge of the field hospital she is assigned to is a real hard ass and rides her ass. Sam finds out that the person in charge hated the fact that they didn’t get the promotion they wanted. She sends pictures and informs Charlie about everything she is experiencing. She gets letters from Charlie and reads them.

Sometimes, some of the things he writes back to her are funny as hell. Other times, they are sad, especially when one of her brothers gets arrested for transporting illegal drugs and moonshine. She knew he did it for his father’s uncle. Her mother’s side of the family didn’t want to have anything to do with her. They believed her mother’s lie about her dying in the woods.

Not that it matters, because her mother was the only girl born to a family of six kids. She was the middle child, and from what she learned about her mother’s father. He used to molest her mother until her mother ran away and got married to her father.

Her father's side of the family wasn’t too bright either. Her youngest uncle fell down the side of the mountain and sustained brain damage from it. Her other uncle was a white supremacist and belonged to a militia group. The group was wanted for hate crimes committed against several black families.

There was no reason that people thought that Kentucky was the home of arrogant rednecks. The people she was related to proved that statement day in and day out. Sam knew a lot of people wanted to know where she was because of her accent.

48th Medical Group at RAF Lakenheath:
Sam is transferred to the 48th Medical Group in England. Even though it was a British base, a large number of American soldiers and their families were treated there. There was a British nurse by the name of Daisy Johnson who had a room for rent.

When Sam first meets her, she notices that Daisy is fifteen years older than her. Where she was in her early twenties, Daisy was in her mid-thirties. She also had an Irish accent to her speech and stood a good seven inches taller than her.

Daisy was a nice person, and after a few weeks of living with her, Sam discovered that Daisy preferred women over men. Sam didn’t mind, because she didn’t feel completely comfortable around men. Between the two of them, Sam had the bigger bust. She sometimes caught Daisy looking at her, just like her father used to do, but she didn’t feel creeped out like she did when her father did.

One day, when the two of them had the same day off together. Daisy managed to coach Sam into wearing a bikini. Daisy told Sam that it was just going to be the two of them, and no one else would see the scars on her body. So, Sam chanced it and put the outfit on.

When Daisy started rubbing oil onto Sam’s body. Sam started getting tingling sensations from Daisy touching her.

“Turn around, Sam.” Daisy wanted to kiss Sam and figure Sam wanted her, too.

Sam turns around on the lounger she was lying on and looks at Daisy as she straddles her. She noticed Daisy had taken off her bikini. She
watches as Daisy starts untying her bikini bottom and removes it. She feels Daisy sit down on her groin area and lean forward, and start kissing her.

Before long, the two of them are pleasing each other. Sam didn’t know what came over her, but she was enjoying everything Daisy was doing, too. She got so excited that she started squirting and felt embarrassed.

Daisy informs Sam that it was natural for a woman to become so aroused that they did that. She places her head between Sam’s legs and gets her to do it again. Then Daisy teaches Sam how to make her do it.

Sam and Daisy spend the rest of the day getting to know what excites each other. Sam finds out she really enjoys having sex with another woman and likes the fact that Daisy is older than her. The two of them take a shower together and later have dinner.

Over a few days, Sam moves her stuff into Daisy’s bedroom. She likes Daisy a lot and enjoys sleeping with her, after they spend a few hours worshipping each other. Daisy was higher in rank than she was, so they had to get special permission for their relationship, since she was a United States medic and Daisy was a British officer.

One day, Daisy comes home and finds Sam sitting at a writing desk that Sam had bought at an antique store. She walks over and places a kiss on Sam’s neck.

“Who are you writing, sweetie?”

“My adopted father in Kentucky.” Sam lays her quail down and turns to look at Daisy.

“That would be Charlie, wouldn’t it?” Daisy remembered Sam telling her all about the few men she trusted.

“Yep, he found me on the side of a riverbank while it was snowing outside and nursed me back to health.”

“Remind me to thank him for saving you.” Daisy smiles when she says that.

“I will. I was writing him to tell him about you and me.” Sam wanted to know how he felt, because where they lived, there weren’t any gay couples that she knew of.

“How do you think he’ll feel about the two of us?” Daisy was stripping out of her work clothes.

“I don’t know, where I lived, you never heard of anyone being gay.” Sam knew she had never heard of that.

“What will you do if he doesn’t approve of our relationship?” Daisy was curious; to be honest, she really liked Sam a lot.

“I’ll try to change his mind. For the second time in my life, I’ve found someone I love.” Sam turns back around and continues to write her letter.

When she is finished, she prepares it to be mailed. She’ll take it down to the post office. Afterwards, she walks over to Daisy and kisses her.

One day, after Sam came home after pulling a double shift, and was feeling extremely tired. She picked up a letter that had her name on it and knew automatically who it was from. Sam opens the letter and starts reading it. Tears stream down her face, and she smiles as she folds it back up. She puts it back in the envelope.

Sam wipes the tears away as she walks into the bedroom and spots Daisy sleeping in the nude. She removes her clothes and lies down in bed, and snuggles up to Daisy. She places a kiss on Daisy’s cheek as she falls asleep.
