In this chapter, Emily navigates a day filled with grief and reflection as she bids farewell to her mother. Amidst the weight of the occasion, small moments of kindness and support from those around her offer glimpses of comfort and strength, helping her take the first steps toward healing.
Many thanks to everyone for all the help last year and let's try to make 2025 a wonderful year in terms of stories posted and enjoyed. :)
The loss of 2/3 of our ad revenue (~$1000/mo) is still hurting.
Any financial help will be appreciated.
Thanks to everyone who has sent money. We really depend on you, more than you know. :)
Thanks for any amount you can send. All contributions are very welcome. Thanks a great deal to all who have previously contributed here or paid for a membership at Patreon or Hatbox.

Michael, after a debauched and corrupt life, goes to Hell, as he very much deserved. In a fit of demonic irony, the Powers of Hell recruit him to be sent back to Earth, transformed into a succubus called Lorilei.
Who the Hell knew he --now she-- would have such talent for the job? And if Heaven knew--They aren't talking about it.
Sex and power go together for a succubus and Lorilei learns to enjoy both with a spicy bit of Chaos as well. But there are dangers even for one of The Damned and Lorilei needs to watch her cute little tail with the spade-shaped point on the end.
What if supernatural beings like Witches, Faeries, Demons, and their ilk are all real? Glen Evanston is about to be caught in their many traps in my new work in progress: Magic, Mystery, and Mayhem a Graphic Novel by Raine Monday
A thought came, unbidden. It popped into my head, all by itself. The thought said, Max has kissed me twice — admittedly, only on the cheek —
but I've never kissed him once.
Right then, exactly then, before another thought could run in screaming DON'T DO IT, I kissed him.
Another self-contained short story about a gender-fluid boy, his mom, and an understanding hair stylist dealing with contemporary issues. How will Jackie handle an upcoming road trip through a state with bathroom laws?
CHAPTER 36
A tern creak-calling above us, we made our way slowly back to shore, a little warmer in the shallower water, and while Warren walked straight out of the waves, Alys and I had to do the wriggling dance to get our fins off before we could follow. Sali called over to us as we approached the group.
“Saw you coming! Got cold ones for you—no, don’t look like that! Not beers, cokes. See anything?”
He paid for a little work to be done. He would like to be able to take me out and have me clinging to his arm – the woman who adores him. Maybe not quite the woman, but I do love him so much.
Changing Roles

Chapter 11
I was on a high and no way would I be able to sleep and since it wasn’t too late I messaged Sally to see if she was still up and available for a chat. Within minutes she called me back, keen to know what Emily had wanted to discuss with me. She was worried in case it was bad news. She immediately sensed that I was on a high and that I had so much to tell her that I was having difficulty getting the words out.

Chapter 8: Flu Shots
I have trypanophobia or an extreme fear of needles, and I dread taking the annual Flu Shot. Normally my mom has to bribe me with McDonald's if I'm good and take the shot without causing a sense. This year things were different, instead of having mom at my side I had my boyfriend, and instead of getting my Flu Shot at a clinic or hospital, I was getting mine at a local pharmacy.
Snow's whole life changes when the winter solstice arrives.
Then the moment we were out of the hospital the pilot visibly relaxed and let out a long sigh. “I really hope that I don’t have to go to the hospital often, I’m not sure that I can handle meeting any of her other personalities.”
Saturday morning we were all up bright and early and, after breakfast, we went off to the station in the little car. When we got there I could see why they used it as it was very easy to park. We caught the first train that arrived and travelled the forty minute trip into Victoria Station.
My mother told me, once we had walked to the Victoria Underground, that when I started at the Chelsea College of Arts I would need to take the Victoria Line to Pimlico and walk a couple of blocks.

{My husband kissed me goodbye and wished me luck on my little adventure. He wanted me to stay home with him, I was all in white and totally sexy. I said I would wear this to bed one night next week.}
The experiment has produced a surprising result: the four strongest men have feminised the two weakest who now live full time as Comfort Women. But Colonel Flagg wants to introduce a new dynamic into the study which is likely to cause catastrophic results. Will Bill Brody defend the honour of his personal Comfort Woman Samantha Steele when the other men demand their fair share of her charms?
It was a mistake to go outside. The sun was high and the asphalt of the parking lot was emanating heat. The only escape was to come back to the mall or any store on the left or the right of the main entrance.
Abrupt Change Chapter 3 An original story by Lajien Edited by Julia Miller
Ryan walked through the hallway heading directly to Coach Damien’s office. Seeing that Ryan was so successful under his coaching, the school had decided to make an office just for coach Damien.
Reaching the coach’s office, Ryan started knocking on the door. “Come in,” the sound of coach Damien came from behind the door.
As Ryan entered, he saw coach Damien, a well-built, 6’5” man in his early thirties, sitting at his desk.
You may have heard the beginning of my story. It hit the papers a few years ago – “Man Loses Bet and Gets Breast Implants”. I was not the first, as it turns out. Apparently, the other guy still has his breasts, and lives a normal life as a married man. My story is different.
Chapter Three – This Is For You and This Is For Me
Samantha Steele and Wendy Meakins are ordered to live full-time as 'comfort women'. This arrangement suits Wendy but Sam takes some adjusting. Bill Brody keeps Samantha exclusively for himself with creates consternation amongst the other men. 'Nurse Steele', as she has now become, tends to the men's therapeutic needs while she tends to all of Bill Brody' physical needs and won't admit to herself that she secretly likes it.

This story is set in dkfenger's Trust Machines universe and is a sort of sequel to my Pioneers, though I think it stands alone tolerably well. Thanks to dkfenger for opening up his fascinating universe for other authors to write in.
Thanks to ChiriVulpes, clancy688, dkfenger, Nicole, and Rellawing for feedback on early unfinished drafts.
Thanks to clancy688, dkfenger and Fiona for research help.
Angelique is back. Along with assorted ancient gods and goddesses, a plot to unseat Lucifer from the throne of Hell, and a lot of other fascinating things. She always seems to get the 'interesting' jobs.
