Had a productive day

well, I had a productive day off today. I took a load of my old boy clothes to a charity, and then took my bottles to the depot to be recycled. The lady at the depot called me Ma'am, which was a nice touch. Then I took the money I had made and got a pedicure done, which really made me very happy, even if I found the lady who worked on me rather brusk. The end result of it was I now have radioactive pink toenails, which will keep me smiling for a bit.

Nice to actually get some stuff done, you know?

As many may know, I have a house. In this house there are two bedrooms. I don't even enter one of them and keep the door closed. With the recent bank fiasco going on, I was thinking wouldn't it be nice to rent the room and have someone I could associate with and maybe have some level of social life. I was thinking I may want to rent to another transsexual, perhaps one who could help me on the journey that I am embarking on. Does anyone know where I could look or post an ad so I can find a tennent.

Hi all,

I've recently decided to really start trying to write, and today wrote the first chapter of my first story. I am however a bit nervous about posting it, and unsure about which rating to choose. As such I hoped someone would be willing to help me a bit by reading it and pointing out grammar/spelling mistakes and offering general feedback. In return for this you will have eternal fame (delivered in the form of a thank-you in each story post), and of course my gratitude.

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Last night on TV, Dancing With The Stars featured a young ballerina. Born in dire circumstances in Sierra Leone, West Africa, she was adopted and arrived in the US, diseased and scarred by her young life. But she wanted to become a dancer, her mother said. The girl has trained all of her life and eventually received a scholarship to the American Ballet Theatre and there she was, dancing on national television.

Did her parents tell her, “You’re too young to know that you want to be a dancer”?

I'm alone.

And I really don't see the point in trying to make life work anymore.

There comes a point in a person's life when they have to realize that they are a failure beyond any hope of being anything but a failure. I have come to that point. I have tried to be a good person and help people out, my reward was to be robbed blind. I have tried to be a friend to people, but there is no one around to bulster me when I need it. Those who are sworn to protect and serve simply turned away when I needed help, but were quick to point the finger at the smallest infraction.

Potential was there, waiting for me to realize living was not a punishment, but a gift from god. When my spirit was woken the seed cracked and I became aware of myself and a little of my surrounding. As time progressed the sprout broke through the ground and I was no longer hiding from myself and my surroundings. However, it was not until I formed my bud that I realized the true potential I had in my life.

Surgery Tomorrow

For those who have been following the saga, my kidney stone surgery is finally here. Tomorrow, at 7-730 am central time I will be having my uretoscopy. It will be a 2 hour surgery, since they have to go after stones in both kidneys and the one that has been trying to push free. Hopefully it won't be too bad. By noon I should be leaving the hospital and on my way home, where I will be drugged up and lounging around. So fun fun fun.

a "footprints" moment

You may be familiar with a poem called "Footprints" where a person looks back on their life and realizes how often God carried them through hard times. Well, God has been walking me through some "footprints" moments the last little while. Not so much about hard times, but just how He has put me in just the right place at just the right time to receive a blessing. I could give lots of examples, but two really stand out for me. First is the very existence and presence in my life of my daughter.

End of 'The Ram'

Well. That's the end of 'The Ram'

Some have said the end seemed a bit rushed and a bit cruel. I feel I must in part agree with them. Not all stories can have happy endings and death comes to us all sooner ... or later.

I was getting slightly jealous of Daphne and wondering where to take her. This ending exorcises any lingering problems I had.

I saw this, and was saddened. A father beat his new baby girl to death for being born a girl. He is in custody, I wonder what his sentence will be?

Ex-gay? No way!

The post the other day about the Anglicans putting 'ex-gay' ads on the buses made me react when I saw this news item this morning.

Turns out that the, um, individual that wrote a key article supporting ex-gay therapy is now admitting he was wrong. Not in so many words, but it's a step back in the correct direction.

Funny how these so-called 'objective experts' find them selves tied up in knots trying to justify their own bigotry.

Los Angeles to House Transgendered Inmates Separately at City Jail, Offer Hormone Treatments

This seems like a progressive step. However will there be complaints from those undergoing or completed MtF transitions on Not being housed with the other women and vise versa for FtM transitioners?

What to you think?

A big thanks!

..To all of you who left comments on Dreamer: Part 7.

It can be disheartening to write something, to see that hundreds of people read it, but only a handful leave a comment. To have such a response in reply to my question was most pleasing and very humbling.

So, in response to the generally expressed view that I should continue, I shall.

To clearly show it is a different section, I shall take the remainder of this story from a different perspective, and look back from a point in Pippa's future.

I hope you like it.

Delay :(

There's going to be a delay in my writing for a bit. I've got this really bad toothache and its hard to concentrate---let alone write. I'm hoping it will be gone soon but until then I'm busy brainstorming ideas.

Chapter 13 of Season of the Witch will be delayed even after I get back to writing but don't worry I've got something good planned that I think people are really going to love :)
