Probably not Political Correct nowdays to do an ethinc joke but hey sometimes those old groaners were simply funny and not necessarily mean spirited.

Yeah, it's not PC but it can be funny in small doses, especially as there was nothing tied to it, just the word and not additional context. The fact that I have a penchant for writing Asian characters does provide some context but there you go.
