Life has been fairly busy but I am a bit over halfway through the edits for The Hands of the Morri. I am also working on the edits for a YA F/F romance called The Finder of Words. That story is a bit of a trip and is also a fun ride. So lots of research and writing going on. Once I am done with the edit for THotM I will be looking for readers to go through it and comment. I will probably choose a few from here and a number of my other friends in the outside world. That way I can get a good notion for how the story goes. That will likely decide where I'm gonna send it to.
So there is one chapter left to post in this story. I'm glad that people seem to like the story. For people who only wanted to dive into a completed story, I guess you can start it now or wait until next week to read the whole thing.
So, next weekend I'm taking part in a free online Queer Literature convention called Rainbow Space Magic . It is a lot of Queer authors and varying styles of writing but it looks fun. There are author readings and panel discussions which should be nice. If you want to show up and listen to stories and people talk about writing, follow the link. I'm going to be reading 300 Rains and pushing it. Enjoy
Hey everyone, there is still more of the Witcher tale to go. I am having fun with it but life has gotten a touch crazy in several different ways. I will get back to it as soon as things have settled down. Traveling around in an RV can be more work than you can expect.
I just wanted to let you all know I just put out a book called Magic for Gender Transition. In this book I talk about the many practical and interesting ways in which you can use magic, in combination with visualization and psychology to maximize your transitions. There is also a section on dealing with being Non-op, Non-binary, and Genderqueer. I try to cover as much ground as possible without being completely overwhelming.
One, my trip to Standing Rock was amazing. I ended up in the National Leadership of Veterans Stand for Standing Rock. We ended up having 4.5k veterans show up in North Dakota to protect the Water Protectors. It was very cool. I was also very happy to spot a large number of Trans veterans among the group. The whole thing made me feel so proud.
Wow... it has been a while since I had posted anything. Sheesh...
Anyway, life has been crazy. Writer's Block, health issues, escaping the Mushroom Kingdom (an apartment with mushrooms growing in the bathroom), a grandbaby and more. So is it any wonder that I haven't been able to do much in the way of writing or such. I just wanted to check in, say hi and that I miss you all so much. I do ghost read a number of things on here so there is that.
I just wanted to give everyone an update as to what mischief I have been up to.
Still editing Transitioning Home, mostly because I see a number of issues and plot holes. Sheesh... I thought it was all good to go but apparently I am taking the crack. I was also looking over Splintered Life and realized there are a few more chapters lurking around in there. So that will get pulled at some point, fyi.
I just wanted to let you all know that I am going to be pulling Transitioning Home as soon as Joyce can get to it. I plan on reworking some things based on my research and then seeing if I can do the thing with the publish. But, since you all might get surprised by it simply vanishing I felt that letting you all know that was going to happen would be a kindness.
So surgery went well. I am in the massively boring part where I lie around and sleep. Let me say that I never thought that ice packs could be your friend. The area is lovely from what I've seen and even the hospital room wasn't that bad. Well the sleepy has befallen me so...
Thank you to everyone who has bought 300 Rains since it came out. You all are awesome. I was also informed that it will be released in print format in a week or so, so there is that. But seriously, you all helped me get better as a writer and the success of my book does help me know that. So thanks.
Also, I am planning on revising Transitioning Home next, so it will get pulled at some point. I have a number of ideas for revisions so while similar, any version I put out will be different. Just wanted to let you know so it's not a total surprise when it vanishes.
