Hey all... just a few updates.

One, my trip to Standing Rock was amazing. I ended up in the National Leadership of Veterans Stand for Standing Rock. We ended up having 4.5k veterans show up in North Dakota to protect the Water Protectors. It was very cool. I was also very happy to spot a large number of Trans veterans among the group. The whole thing made me feel so proud.

Two, I am finishing up a book on Magic for Gender Transition. This is an actual guidebook on how to use magic to help with your transition, no matter how much or little it goes. I also talk about magic for non-op, genderqueer and non-binary people. There is a nice mix of psychology, practical experience, and magic to help anyone out. I even talk about how the techniques can be applied to any faith or magical practice. Fun and useful stuff. I will be self publishing it and selling it for .99 so that should be affordable. It will only be available as an e-book however, because printing something under 100 pages doesn't work all that well.

Three, Happy Holidays.

Holy Cow,

Heather, that is so awesome! I forgot or didn't bother to find out that you were a Native American rights and/or climate change and green energy activist. If I were younger and more together I would have liked to go to Standing Rock. Kim, my spouse, is about a third Cherokee (mainly) from her dad who was from OK or TX. Genocide and other ill treatment of natives is an issue that angers and upsets us as well as crimes against The Mother/the biosphere. Metaphorically and literally, I think, that if we mess up Gaia, she'll react to straighten things out. Gaia is for all life, not just one species. Not all extinction events come from outer space (the heavens ?). This one was started by humyns, but we are just harmfully redistributing natural elements in the Earth's crust, seas and atmosphere.

Is the magic Wiccan/from indigenous peoples or just generalized/mixed Earth magic? (Sorry, dumb question. I'm sure you go into that in your book!)

Thank you for standing against the dark side and sharing your knowledge and hard work.

Things like this are the reason I'm progressive/anti-conservative. Stopping, ameliorating or reducing the chance of an extinction event that will kill billions of people (for those who think people or socio-economic systems or religions or some other people thing are more important than the whole of the biosphere) or just stopping species extinctions, which weaken the web of life, are good for people and all other life on the planet. IMHO, this is looking at the big picture and doing the right things for the long run.

Hugs and Bright Blessings,
Renee

The magic is taken from a

The magic is taken from a number of sources. My own practice uses a mix of neo-pagan, Chinese, Shamanic (multiple sources), and Western High Magic. I have a very eclectic practice and this book does cover that. I mean, I never found a magical system that I didn't bother to study if it sat still long enough. ;)

And I am a big believer in the sanctity of the Earth. Some of these business practices are setting us up for failure. Not a fan of that. And if you want to hear about Standing Rock, there is a video on my Facebook, where I talk about everything, including the extra adventure that sort of took over the main one. Only in my life...
