TV Transgender Superhero

Author:

Hello,

I have just read that the TV series Supergirl is to get a Transgender Superhero. Here is the link:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-44915149

This leads me to ask a question. Why are superheros such an American genre? Is it purely down to Comic / Graphic novels, or something deeper?

I would love to read your responses.

I am certain that you will all join me in wishing Angharad a very happy birthday.
While her coursework has cut back on New chapters of bike, don't forget you could always re-read the first three thousand or so episodes.

My heart goes out to all the family and friends who are now mourning the loss of their loved ones in what is, I believe, the largest mass killing in the US.

I hope no one from our BC community is caught up in this appalling atrocity. To all of you in the USA I send you my love.

This is one of those days when words fail me.

Be thankful you do not live in Peru

Blog About:

I have just read the story about the problems experienced by TS girls in Lima Peru. Here is the link:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3385749/Sex-surgery-...

I found the story to be so sad to read and yet how brave the girls are to live in such a society where the average life expectancy is 35 years of age.

Apparently some men have problem uncrossing their legs after watching.

I wonder if Pixar would do a better animation. Also, who would they get for the voice over.

It would seem that Caroline Cossey is taking a tentative step back into the limelight.

There is an article on Cosmopolitan.com in which she breaks her silence of many years. Here is the link:

A Thoughtful Piece

I read this interesting piece this morning and thought it would be worthwhile sending a link, even though it is in the Daily Wail.

I can sympathise with her early years, which echo in some respects mine, but I am glad that I transitioned some twenty odd years ago.

It is nice to know the Armed forces are positive in dealing with TG issues. Last month it was an RAF officer, this month it is the Army's turn.

Seven years of Bike

I appreciate I am a few days late, but 'Bike' or as it should be called 'Easy as falling off a Bike' is Seven years old.

Angharad started an attempt to write a story 'over a few days' live to the site, as an experiment, on the 16th July 2007.

As there have been no episodes of ‘Bike’ for the last few days, I spoke to Angharad yesterday. This is just to let you know, she is well.

While we talked on many subjects, Bike was not one of them.

As one of the fans of this story all I can say is I hope she will continue. Like Tinker Bell, I believe.

So the obvious question is, Do You Believe?
