This is for all the readers of Susan Brown’s wonderful Penmarris stories who somehow believe that Lady Fairburn’s problems with moles are, how can I say this, somewhat exaggerated.
If the link below works, you can hear that Baroness Bety Boothroyd, former speaker of the House of Commons has a similar problem.
For those who are able to listen to BBC Radio 4. Starting on Monday 20th June in woman’s hour drama is Annabel by Kathleen Winter. Here’s the link to Radio4
In today’s Sun is the following article. A mum is being positive in her child’s change. It is a mainly positive article, even some of the comments are positive, well I never.
I just thought I would pass on the link to the Daily Telegraph obituary for Chris Dale.
He was a 6ft 6in mountaineer, with a passion for solo climbs. He was also a cross-dresser who went by the name of Crystal.
Having read this story, it would be very easy for me to get carried away with commenting on how ridiculous ‘his’ views are. To say:
"People who think they are a woman trapped in a male body are, in my opinion, completely deluded. I certainly was."
Here is the link:
I will limit my comment to reiterate an old saying ‘he took the dressing up too far’ I am certain others will leave more pertinent comments
Love to all
Yes I know that by now you may be tired of reading about the Gabycon that happened last weekend. However I enjoyed it so much I had to just have to write it down and share it with you.
For all the followers of EAFOAB, I just thought you would like to know that one council is taking the dormouse situation seriously, no matter what the cost
Now I know what word to use, when all those cyclists on Southsea seafront, zoom past me on my morning exercise
Now, if I can find a word that I could use when a certain young blonde girl goes by, making my sedate pace look like standing still, I will by happy
Love to all

There are times when we all would prefer not to be too noticeable when out in public. For all those who believe they are too tall to pass, don’t despair.
This young model is six foot eight inches tall, seven foot in her heels
On the 21st of May 1810 Charles-Genevieve Louis-Auguste-Andre-Timothee Deon de Beaumont died in London at the age of eighty-three.
Much has been written about the Chevalier d’Eon since that day. For anyone still unaware of this famous historical figure, please read the links below for a précis of an unusual life which also included diplomat, spy, Advocate, Captain of Dragoons, fencing master etc. Plus, we should remember that at one time, many of us would have been called an Eonist.
It is easy for us to read about such a figure without thinking about the person behind the story.
For all the writers on this site who want to get their books published and sold to the public, take heart.
The article in today’s Sunday Times shows one mans unorthodox approach to selling his books.
As Rupert Murdoch will shortly be charging for this news site, please read it for free whilst you can.
I appreciate this is ‘off topic’ as it were, but I was most surprised to read this article from AA Gill in today’s Sunday times, regarding his dyslexia. He is a perceptive writer whose work I have enjoyed for many a year.
Perhaps some of you here suffer from dyslexia or know someone who does, so please take a few minutes to read what it says, many of us can empathise with the youngsters he meets as well as his own experience.
I read this article in today’s Daily Mail. Whilst this is a positive story, some of the comments on the web site leave me fuming. See the article for yourself:
After reading the somewhat bizarre story about the alleged assassins who killed a hamas leader in Dubai, my ‘tg radar’ started to twitch.
Far be it for me to cast aspersions but I have doubts over the photograph showing the Irish ‘woman’ Gail Follard
Have I been reading too much TG fiction? take a look at the link and see for yourself
For all of you who thought that cats were just pets, the truth has emerged. It seems they prefer owners to have a University Degree. :-)
See the link below:
There is an advert currently being shown in the UK for the Renault Twingo. It’s a nice take on a TG situation, it made me smile.
Not sure about the car, though.
Here’s the link:
On Thursday evening, I was able to go with a friend and her daughter to see Carol Ann Duffy, the Poet Laureate give a reading on National Poetry Day.
It was held at the University of Winchester and, naturally enough was a full house.;
One of the poems was entitled ‘From Mrs Tiresias’ it begins with
All I know is this:
He went out for his walk a man And came home a female.
Over the years we have all sought out books to read, before we found this wonderful site. Thanks Erin.
So I thought I would list a few of the one’s I have found and read.
I have just finished reading The Exploits of Danby Croker by R Austin Freeman once described by the writer Antonia Fraser as a perfect TV novel. But is it?
On Thursday I was sitting with my friend Anne in a pub drinking a milky coffee, Anyway, after we had managed to catch up on what we had being doing over the past two weeks since we last met, the subject changed to what we were reading at the moment. I mentioned that I was just finishing off 'The Lost Continent' by Bill Bryson and was just going to start 'Labyrinth' by Kate Mosse. I admitted that I was sidetracked as usual by reading some stories from this site, when she asked me a good question.
"Why do you read TG fiction?"
