Hello.
For all the followers of EAFOAB, I just thought you would like to know that one council is taking the dormouse situation seriously, no matter what the cost

Whilst I am glad it’s not on my council bill, I do hope the first dormouse to use it has undergone a council Health and Safety check.

I suspect
this is probably more PR than ecology, as I don't know if there's any evidence these things work. However, it won't just be dormice who use them, also woodmice, rats an other rodents who can climb.

Dormice assualt course!
Greetings
In a video clip the locals were somewhat surprised at the bridges being built and the cost.
Just how much does it really take to build a few ropeways across a road! I hope they have sensors which will count the number of users of the bridges, so it can be seen how justified the cost was.
I fully appreciate the need to encourage the dormouse population.
