2 years, 6 hours? One of us is mistaken.

I created my account at around 1am on Monday the FOURTH of October, 2010. If I've been a member for 2 years and six hours when today is only the THIRD of October, then perhaps the counter simply overlooked the fact that this year was a leap year?
Is there anybody who's been a REGISTERED member here since 28th February 2008 or earlier, who can remember the EXACT day AND time that they registered, accurate to within an hour either side? Does your counter show something other than your perceived membership period?
Anyway, my second BCTSiversary shall be celebrated TOMORROW.

SRS Diaries - Part 3 - Surgery Day

I'm writing this 3 weeks after surgery.

Read previous entry here.

September 11 - Surgery Day

"Have you said goodbye to it?" Z asked.

I sighed. "Why do you keep asking me that? I’m not attached to it. Well, um, physically but not mentally."

"Yeah but don't you–it's just–" he shivered as he kind of held his own crotch protectively. I laughed at this and reassured him that I'd be very happy to have it gone, even though much of the tissue would still be there, just, rearranged.

I see the gender doc tomorrow

I see the gender doc tomorrow, and for some reason, I'm nervous. It will be the first time I see him since I got my exam, and since my family doc wants me to lose weight, I'm not sure what's going to happen.

Ah, well.

Letting you all know what's up

Just letting you know that other stories besides Transitioning Home might be spotty this month as I have to focus on my Firefly and Buddhism paper that is going to be published. That needs to be about 5k words and requires me to rewatch the series and Serenity plus read the comics. You people don't know the suffering I must endure for this. But I meditate and work to move past this.

Just fyi

Transitioning advice most important week of my life comingup

I'm going to come out to my parents hopefully on Wednesday, and start my transition as soon as possible after that, but I have several questions.
1. What kind of doctor do I have to see to begin?

Solo to Series

The Solo tag on my two recent standalone stories keeps getting reset to Series. I realise the titles are confusing as they seem to suggest a series, but they are both standalone stories and should be marked as Solo.

The titles of both commence A decade of Big Busts followed by a number, so I can understand why people should think them a series - in one sense they are, but the stories are unrelated to each other except by their publishing history.

Comic or not comic? That is the question

Hey ho, you learn as you live, I guess. What I intended was a story in pictures, so I used, or misused the word comic. What would describe what i want more?

I am open for suggestions.

Britishisms coming to America.

Considering the number of American shows, and films, we are exposed to over on this side of the pond I suppose it's only natural that many American terms have made their way into our language. Now it seems that some things may be going the other way.

Long time no see

Hi chaps and chapesses. It's been a while and I have to admit, I'm really embarrassed for not having accosted you with something for ages, but I just don't seem to be able to concentrate the way I did. Not to harp on about it, but the car accident really did something to me and ever since, I've had the devil's own job writing.

I've managed a couple of blogs and started ... well, I've tried to start many story ideas that have just wound up going round in ever-decreasing edits until I stop, thoroughly disheartened that I can't get anything together.

Been trying to read and comment more

I've been very guilty in the past of posting my own stories but really not reading other peoples. Most of it had to do with time restraints and also this annoying tendency I have to get other people's 'voice' stuck in my head. If I start reading someone, whether mainstream or online, I will tend to start writing in their cadence and using their structure and tone often, so, usually when I am writing I generally don't read anything.

Expat Shield

Well, I don't think I'm breaking the law. Someone mentioned the program "Waterloo Road" and I decided that I wish to watch it, but somehow, this sort of programing is blocked between the North Amercan Colonies and the UK. Had heard of a thing called URL Anonomizer and downloaded Expat Shield, hoping it would be useful for several countries.

At first, I knew it gave me a url in London, but now I think it might be San Francisco, but I can still get UK programing. This means I probably do not know what I am doing.

So, does a URL of 10.200.xx.xx mean anything?

once once again regarding through the years

I figured that a note to catch those who read my work was needed. Yes, I am playing the new game, but I have decided that I needed to do some work on another character, so I have been quickly putting together a quick post of Molly Hallmarks family. It should be ready to be edited later today, when I am done with errands and can finish it. So keep the faith and Tracy shall return soon.

SRS Diaries - Part 2 - Surgery Day Minus 1

I'm writing this about two weeks post-surgery. I hope it's useful to some.

Read previous entry here.

Morning came, and with my ablutions done I went to the reception, having gotten impatient in waiting for Jano. On the way down the elevator I saw a man who looked like he was Thai, dressed in semi-formal garb with long sleeved striped polo and slacks. “Konnichiwa,” he said to me, thinking I was Japanese. Hmm, who was that guy? I just smiled since it’s not that uncommon I get mistaken for a Korean or Japanese in my early 20s. Must be my orange hair, eyeliner, and semi-pigtails. Mostly my fashion sense is a mix of Hong Kong and Japanese style, and a little young for my actual age of 28, but that’s just how I am. Being a managing partner of our own multimedia firm and marketing communications lead in my day job gives me certain liberties in my fashion sense. Getting to the reception area at the 3rd floor of the hospital, I quickly got registered and found out that my surgery date had been bumped up by one day, so instead of two days later I was having it the next day. Yay! But that also means we have one remaining day to finish our project.

Login resets

Why do I keep having to re log-in all the time, it wasn't this way before. I was replying to an email when I got caught in the three AM reset and lost my reply. Okay, that was my fault, I screwed up. I left the reply screen up on this computer and went to bed. This morning I used my tablet PC to read the site a bit, and just now came back to this computer and retyped my reply. When I hit "enter" I got a not logged in message and lost that reply. I tried using the back arrow to recover what I'd typed both last night and again just now, with no success.

What I am trying to do

I look around and see what others post in this genre we call transgender fiction and I realize that I do not fit the mold of 90 percent of what is produced. I'm not saying that is a good or a bad thing, but i am definitely not in the majority. I have spent the last few days reading works of other authors and notice a common theme running throughout, namely a fetishy kind of approach to transsexualism. Big Closet is somewhat different from other sites because it has less of this than the norm, but it certainly does have its fair share.

SRS Diaries - Part 1 - Departure and Arrival in Bangkok

I'm already 14 days post-surgery, but I thought I might as well post from the day I left my country and arrived in Bangkok. It might be of interest to some.

S Day Minus 2 - Oh my GGG–! PANIC MODE!
"Damn it, why haven't you started packing?" I screamed at Z, my boyfriend and partner of three years.

"I’ll be fine. Some shorts, shirts–it’ll be quick," he shrugged nonchalantly. "How many clips to go?"

OT: Movie review. The Avengers.

Well, at long last, the movie I have been waiting for since I heard it was going to BE a movie, came out for rental today. The Avengers! I have to say, in all honesty, that it not only lived up to it's hype, but surpassed even my high expectations. To see, on the screen, the heroes I grew up reading about in the "comic books" and witness the incredible effects and acting displayed by the cast, just blew me away.

A new kitty

Much to my surprise, I have a new kitty; the runt of the litter. She is yellow, with white tufts of hair. She has what look sort of like pixie wings just behind her front shoulders; hence the name Pixie. At 10 weeks old she is so tiny! She's sleeping inside my top right now, under my pull over dress, but over my T shirt, that says,"Run Like A Girl". Right now, I am fantasizing about being preggers. :) I am carrying the baby reall high right now. It will be months until I deliver her.

Eek! Job hunt coming up. Scary.

Ok I blogged about my job situation and the challenges I have faced there last week. Things just keep going downhill and my employer does seem to want to get rid of all the old hands. They are unaware of my looking for something else and I plan to keep it that way. I am turning to the BCTS family for help. Here is my problem I need a resume but am not sure how to write it seeing as the only job I have had in the last ten years is this one. References are no problem I have those in spades in my company and out of it. Does anyone have a template or know of one.

Cops and US Marshalls at my door

So I get home this morning after slaving for the man. Delivering papers is harder than people would think (and I have one unaccounted for, damn it). My roommate tells me that about 5 cop cars were at the house at 5 a.m. All the cops asked was if she had called 911 and if she was alone. I have no idea what that was about, but me and the Tampa Police Department is like a marriage that ended in a nasty murder/suicide (Really, really, really bad). So, outside of worrying that the cops are out to fuck with me again, I don't know if there is anything to worry about.

Funny thing about feelings

I went to a brunch today with kids from my graduating class at a grill and began talking about stories I had written and posted on line. My family knows I write stories and I've told them where to go to read them, but no one ever does. and mentioned my I'll be home for Christmas story to one of my class mates, we've been mates ever since kindergarden and she was amazed I would write fiction such as this and be a conservative. I mentioned that being a conservative had more to being self reliant than having government take care of you.

After a brief delay of 52 months I'm posting a new chapter

After a modest delay I am posting Timeout 4, Chapter 14 in a multipart installment over the next week or so. Four or five posts of anywhere from 20 to 30 plus pages each should see it done.

As Princess for Hire and several other excellent but interrupted serials have posted of late I figured I should jump on the bandwagon.

-- grin --

Itinerant and Holly Hart helped me a while back on this, LAST YEAR in fact. I think. It's been a while. I believe they are both out of rehab by now.

That was $1560 which I put on a credit card that I had paid down with the money received last month. We're not doing to badly this month with raising enough so I can make more payments, considering that Piper is also asking for help with her planned move. We've got $861 in the Hatbox and most of that came in in the last week.

The further misadventures of a transsexual paper girl

I finally figured out my life, I have all the answers, its so simple that it was easily overlooked and I could just shoot myself for not realizing it early. Unbeknownst to me, I am starring in my own sitcom. Of course I don't hear the laugh track or the theme music because I live this sitcom pre-edit (and with as much as I am cursing lately, it certainly needs to be edited unless I am airing on HBO or Comedy Central). This has to be the truth, because nothing else can possible explain the bizarre, asinine situations I find myself in.

Anger

Last night, my daughter couldn't find the little communication book she's supposed to bring home from school, but didnt admit it until we were picking up her mother. Her mother was upset, and I promised to check at my house, and I thought it was over with.

Then this morning, her mother called and started yelling at my mother for Sam not having the book, and then my mom started coming down on me for not being responsible and involved with my daughter, and I ended up getting angry myself, yelled at Sam's mother, and went back to bed.

Life's a bitch and then you cry.

Life is what happens in between making plans and actualising them. Families are collections of random lunatics the universe throws together because they share some genetic material, friends are people we like.

My daughter got married last week, she went with her partner to New York and they got spliced in Central park. I've seen some photos and it looked really nice. It also means I've not seen either of my children get married. They did it for all sorts of reasons, the trip to New York, but part of it, rightly or wrongly, I suspect is to avoid having to explain me.

Heart attack.

On August 26, I suffered a heart attack, which I did not recognize as one as it had none of signs. Just a stiffness in the chest which I thought was part of the bronchitis I thought I had. I called the EMT on the 30 because of shortness of breath. I was sitting in the ER waiting to them to discharge me when the doctor came and told me they thought I had a heart attack. The next week they took all kinds of tests, found that the valves were good, most of it was viable the only area was the small area in the middle bottom of the heart which was gone.

Karin Bishop interview finally posted!

Last week I posted that "Bending the Bookshelf" (http://bibrary.blogspot.com) would feature an interview of sorts, a "Guest Post", culled from some correspondence back and forth between the editors and myself. It has appeared today, Wednesday the 19th. It's a compilation of some Q&A from my emails and is followed by a brief listing of my current books, with little explanations. Some of them should be familiar to BCTS readers. I only hope that I don't sound like an egotistical goof or pompous windbag–or no more than usual!

Shift Happens Part 2 More Please

It would seam that a mischievous Crow spirit named Murphy has had a bit of fun at my expense. I had just put the finishing touches to Part 2 last night and was going to send it off for editing this morning. When I got ready I installed my SD chip and received the message the chip had died taking the story with it.

So there will be a short delay while I reconstruct my original work from my copious notes including an Idea I had a SB napkin to write it on.

Sorry things will get better.

Half a century of monochrome tints

I don't know if the same 'publishing phenomenon' is sweeping the Colonies, but there is apparently an insatiable appetite for a series of books about kinky sex attracting readers throughout the UK. I have spoken to friends of both gender, and those who have read the work admit to skim-reading it. The men leap from orgasm to orgasm, while the women leave those bits behind as they seek to find some plot.

I may be a bit slow next few days

I picked up a new game last night, Borderlands 2, and I may be a bit preoccupied as I get into playing it. I got a lot of Through the years ready, just need to tweak things here and there plus work on a big plot event and make sure I don't mess up dates. But there will be more coming soon, I promise.

Now to go get my Mecromancer leveled up and if that idea fails, the Siren.

A little back ground on me first, those of you that read my blog regularly know I am about 5'8" and about 230 pounds. I am working on the weight thing. I am Hispanic and since I was twelve have had facial hair and I mean ab lot like a five o'clock shadow at eleven in the morning, not a trait I am proud of and one I wish I didn't have. Nobody other than my friend FO knows about me and I present as very male, you could find a B2 bomber on radar before you figure me out. It comes from years of hiding in plain sight.
