Whelp, I will be on the road again in a few minutes (and it's snowing, blah) so just a quick note that I won't be able to post tomorrow. I should in theory have plenty of time to write in the evenings (unless I am dragged out to go eat) at least this week just can't post. (only have a work PC when travelling)
Anyway, everyone have a lovely weekend Ill see yall when I get back.
So someone asked, since I am not longer a DoD contractor will I have more time to write. Well yes, so decided to just list what I am currently working on. It is in order if that helps.
My fairly recent lack of vision has been determined to be a genetic eye defect. I went from having better than 20/20 to well a lot worse in a very short time span. The degenerative disorder might force me to get a cornea transplant sometime in the future.
Annoying to be sure but I can live with that. Except for hard contacts, it’s like walking around with something in your eye all day. Pass I'll stick to wearing glasses.
So I believe I have entered some weird alternate reality where Rod Serling will suddenly start speaking in the background.
I'll give you a short history of the particular situation. My guardian so I have just been told has been sick a while and currently placed into a home by her daughters. All news to me, I recently got an email telling me I should visit her.
I don't really talk to her as I have been living up in DC working as a contractor for some time. I love Virginia and it paid well and I was many states away from 'those people'.
So its November, right on time for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Really need a kick in my pants to start writing again so figure why not. Not that i'll be writing a novel but catch up on my missing chapter, sure let's give it a go.
Committed to writing 50,000 words in the 30 days of November? National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.
On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.
Anime is an art form, specifically animation, that includes all genres found in cinema, but it can be mistakenly classified as a genre. In Japanese, the term anime refers to all forms of animation from around the world. In English, anime (/ˈænəˌmeɪ/) is more restrictively used to denote a "Japanese-style animated film or television entertainment" or as "a style of animation created in Japan".
Wow, looking at the last time I posted it does appear I had dropped off the face of the earth. Felt like it too. Recently I replied to the emails sent to me (thank you for them) and it was suggested that I go and post a 'Hello' blog to tell everyone I am well.
People who know me are aware that I am rather fond of anime and manga. Last season I enjoyed watching an anime series called Kantai Collection based off a browser game of the same name.
Essentially the series features an enemy called the Abyssal Fleet which has taken over the seas. Fighting them are girls who wear weaponized outfits and possess the spirit of historical naval vessels known as kanmusu.
Hi everyone, missed you. Wow I cant believe how far behind i am in my stories, not to mention reading others. Of course going on vacation, work and helping a friend through her illness does eat up ones writing time. Well, ill be posting soon so I hope everyone has a good holiday.
PS Some evil person got me reading Harry Potter fanfic, I cant believe how much of a time sink that's been reading on 600+ stories on fanfic site :)
Wow, I cant believe its been one year since I joined and started to work on The Other side of the Forest. A great big warm thanks to everyone who has read my stories, left me a Comment or a Kudos. I'm pleased to know that you have enjoyed my little scribblings and I hope that you will continue to do so with the new ones as well. Thanks again for reading.
Since a few people have asked, just wanted to drop a quick update. I started a new project at work that has to be completed before Dec 31, right. That's not a lot of time, suffice to say my life has been work, eat then sleep and then back to work.
A have a number of chapters that will take longer to post. My poor laptop shuffled off to its mortal coil before I got on my plane :'( im on my smart phone now. Not really condusive to writing long stories :-) I'll be back by the end of the week.
Long lines, bad food, government officials feeling you up or patting you down and then sitting in a seat like a sardine for 2 hours. Have I mentioned how much I hate flying :-)
We just passed the anniversary of the death of the person who made my life a living hell for 18 years. Through decades of neglect, he passed away due to lung and liver cancer. There was no way I could say that it couldn't have happened to a nicer person because no one should die that way.
Well happy Thursday, thought I would try the blog thing and see how it works. It appears to be a good vehicle to advertise your stories, plus if I'm in a rut I can always complain about here. :-D So Chapter 8 has just been posted and Chapter 9 this weekend for Always & Forever. Alice has some serious questions for Nadine. Chapter 4 of 'Monsters' should be out in a day or so. This are heating up in Skogshaven. :-)
