I Think This Is A Nice Story

I read the article twice to make sure I got most of it. What's interesting is that many readers never bothered to read it carefully. They were very reactionary. As the mother says, the painting says quite a bit about Jessie.

Help posting story advice

If you hadn't noticed, I started posting a new story, but I am having some issues.

Here is my problem. I think the story really should be a stand alone story. I think it would work better that way. The problem is that length has gotten the best of me and I haven't even finished writing the whole thing yet. I think in the end it will be under 30k words, but feel as if that may be too much for one post (I think post should be kept under 10k and usually strive for 5k). Maybe its because I view Big Closet more like a magazine than a library though.

Bears Know Best Final Post and SUTL 10k Hits :-)

It's been fun to post my latest work up on this site over the past summer. I hope that most of my readers have enjoyed Bears Know Best. If you missed it, the 28th and Final part is now posted. Thank you to everyone who has purchased it, read it, and commented on it over the last couple months!

I also enjoyed another milestone today too. Just a few minutes ago my first book, Standing Up to Life's title page hit 10,000 hits!

Video card possessed?

Um so this girl freely admits that she is not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to computers. So, this girl's computer is being funny. When posting on some sites, it looks like the ribbon on her typer thingy is running out of ink. Well, this girl does not believe there is such a ribbon in her computer, at least she has never found one. Where would they put such a thing?

Bears Know Best

Part 28 of 28

Edited by Carla Ann

Thirteen year-old Taylor Landt’s step-mother believes that he should be the next great football player for the high school he’ll be attending in the fall. Having a dad who is an accomplished professional linebacker, and growing up surrounded by professional football coaches and players should all but guarantee his ability to dominate on the field. Unfortunately he hates playing football, and knows his height and build will never allow him to be successful at the sport. Faced with an obsessive step-mother who ignores his obvious talents in other areas but instead thinks he is a blight on his father’s reputation, Taylor does the unthinkable and moves to Ohio to live with his mother who abandoned their family and left him with his father eight years ago.

Soon after his arrival, Taylor discovers there’s more to his inability to follow in his fathers’ footsteps than just his height. Will it be possible for him to make friends in a new town in the middle of nowhere outside the shadow of his dad's fame? Will Taylor be able to finally make peace with his mother who abandoned them all those years ago? And how long can he keep his secrets to himself?

A Chinese couple get married

Here in Switzerland, the big provider, state-run, is Swisscom, and their 'Net stuff is run out in the name Bluewin.
My eMail address is indeed a bluewin one.

But their home page publishes small news-item galleries.

This one is of interest to us here.... I will translate the German if you wish, but it doesn't add that much to the story, all of which is shown in the 7 photos.

What's in a name?

What's in a name?

Fiction by Johnny Cumlately.

Ann, Barbara, Christine, Delia, … … … Xanthe, Yvonne, Zoe. I've been a closet cross dresser for many years and never bothered to adopt a femme name. But now I'm intending to come out and can't go out with boobs and a dress and still call myself Johnny. You would think choosing a name would be easy but I've been through the alphabet twice already and can't find one which I feel fits my new self.

Pussy Riot

Few can be unaware of the events in Russia where a trio of young women have been arrested and tried for the most specious of charges. They have acknowledged and apologised to those who were offended by their demonstration in the cathedral which upset the primate of the Russian Orthodox church so much, but I suspect not because of what they did but because they dared to do it at all.

Need Some Assistance

I am retired Air Force, a graduate of OTS, and also was an OTS flight commander and instructor for five years; however, I know that the ordeal at the Air Force Academy is something totally different. I've known a number of Academy graduates over the years; however, it's been 24 years since I retired and have lost contact with any of them. I am familiar with drill and ceremonies, taught it, and some of the other things that go on, but any information would be appreciated.

Kit and Kin and more Transitioning

Well, 4 chapters out for Transitioning Home and I think you can all get an idea just how hurt poor Thomas is. It sucks being that screwed up both physically and mentally. You gotta feel for the poor boy. Man am I mean to my characters sometimes and this story just got started. You all got like 32 chapters to go. Heh...

And I finally was out of pain and other stuff long enough to get chapter 5 of Kit and Kin done. I am very happy about this because now the fun stuff can really get started. Poor Takeshi, his whole world shaken and not stirred. :(

The Pink Painting Smock

Nessa D.

Milo couldn’t understand how it had happened, all of the boys in the class knew that when it was time for art class you either brought your own apron or made sure that you got to the art cupboard first, yet here he was at the end of the line and the only thing left was the pink painting smock.

fighting depression

The last couple of days I've really been fighting depression, and I'm not sure why. Yes, my computer is frustrating me, and yes, I'm anxious about what my doctor will say about my chances at surgery, but this seems something beyond either. hope it lifts soon.

Did you win a contest?

This kind of fell between the cracks and didn't get announced but there were five winners in the April Fools and Other Wise Contest. Check here to see if you were one of the top four winners and then PM or email me to tell me what you want done with your $35 prize. Since there was only ONE vote between fourth and fifth place, we decided to go ahead and give five prizes.

Took the plea bargain

I went to see my lawyer this morning, really just to sign the motion for him to get the case dismissed. The state came back this morning with another offer, removing two of the charges against me. I decided to not risk 15 years in prison and instead settle on 6 months probation. The probation doesn't have me attending any classes or effect my life in any way other than to mail in something every month saying that I am alive.

Chapter *8.32*

Hop Along Bond

Unlike the motorway services back in blighty, places like Bruchsal actually have some halfway decent food on offer. We all selected our food and then commandeered a corner of the restaurant.

Reading Material

Most of you don't know me except for a few blog comments and sorry to say even fewer story comments.

Erin's appeal for donations got me to thinking. The first paragraph (in part) "…annual server contract for four of the BC/SD/TGF servers is coming due. These servers run BC, Stardust, TGFiction.Net, CrystalHall, qnez, TGLibrary, StorySite and a dozen other TG and TG friendly websites…." got my attention.

Out and aboot!

So, i went out yesterday for lunch with my sister and some friends who were in town for the day. i have been trying to venture out as myself more and more. even when dressed down, i'm starting to get recognized for who i am and it's gladdening. my point is, even though i'm sure i gave some of the people some interesting dinner table conversation, everyone around were unceasingly polite and in most cases, downright friendly. This makes me feel good, however, i do feel sad for others like myself in the world who aren't as lucky as i am.

back online (sort of) and big news!

Well, I'm back online, sort of. My brother put together an old computer for me to use, so I'm at least able to access most of what I used to. Unfortunately, Google docs is the one site that isnt working for me, so it will be a while before I have a new story ready, but ah, well.

Now for the big news!

I got a call from the gender doc's office, to go in and sign some forms saying yes I do want SRS, and now I have to go to my family doctor and get a physical and make a letter for the docs in Montreal who would be doing the surgery if all goes well.

Update and freebie

Had a very busy summer - so far. Celebrating over 8,000 books sold, so a HUGE thanks to all those who forked out the vast amount of filthy lucre to pay for my books.

I am just about finished my book. WHISPERS IN THE SOUL. It is in the last few paragraphs, as I tidy the ending. I shall be sending it off for editing and then uploading it to Kindle in a short time.

Once it is ready I will post a teaser of the first chapter here.

legal update - need advice

Okay, so here is the deal. I got off the phone with my lawyer not too long ago. There is an offer on the table. But I think I must remind you of the case first. I am being charged with not registering three email addresses, which I am legally required to do because I am a registered sex offender (took a plea because someone used my computer for something nasty and didn't want to spend 650 years in federal prison). Two of the email addresses don't exist, one hasn't existed since prior to having to register email addresses and the other never existed at all (at least not by me).

New Story New Author.

This is both a big thanks to every writer who by there generous efforts posted to BC. I have been reading here for some years now and due to the gravitational pull of all the combined creativity I was drawn out to post a story inspired by a very generous cameo Bailey Summers wrote in Absence Opium and Honor. The character Michelle a nurse at the hospital Jamie was taken too after being pushed down the stairs. The interlude between Jamie and Michelle sparked a major shift in Michelle's attitude towards her life and how she was living it.

Shift HAPPENS

Editor Wanted

I am in the middle of trying to write a story, I have started so many and given up. This one will be sort of like the "Outlander" books. I would really like for it to be readable, as I would love to give something back to this site that has given me so many hours of entertainment. I know that many of you are busy with your own stories. But I would really like someone, to edit with constructive criticism. I am still in the middle of writing the first chapter. but I would like to have someone available when I am done with it. Thanks so much for taking the time to look at this

Big server bill coming due in September

I'm not the world's best financial planner and it's caught me a little by surprise that the annual server contract for four of the BC/SD/TGF servers is coming due. These servers run BC, Stardust, TGFiction.Net, CrystalHall, qnez, TGLibrary, StorySite and a dozen other TG and TG friendly websites. If we pay annually, we save about 20% on the bill but that is a $1600 hit this time.
