Last night I went to the pot-luck for our trans support group, and discovered something interesting.

We do a little check-in, saying what has been going on since we last got together, and one of the participants spoke, and I found myself hearing myself in her words.

She spoke of feeling like a freak, of struggling with loneliness, and of fearing she would never pass.

The thing is, this girl doesnt just pass, she's gorgeous.

So if someone like that struggles with these emotions, is it any wonder someone like me does too?

pot luck dinners...

I guess some things are universal. Including fears. Heck, even GGs probably feel that or something similar, only instead of "do I pass?", it's "do I measure up (to other women)?" or something...

I dunno. I just woke up. And I always feel like a freak. :P

Neither of you is a freak

we all struggle daily as humans with this feeling of inadequacy. the society we live in reinforces it in every advertisement we see or hear. hate to say it ladies but you are normal. :)

pot luck normality...

Normal in our abnormality. :)

Or in other words: "You are unique! Just like everyone else!"
