Well, last night, I made a birthday dinner for my mom, my brother, and my sister-in-law. It actually went well, they liked what I made, and it went about as good as I could hope for.

We also found a picture of my grandfather in the paper from his days serving during WWII, and so my mom spent a lot of time reminiscing about the past. This was helped along by the present my brother and sister-in-law gave her, a collection of small photo albums that they had filled with pictures of mom when she was young, when my brother and I were very young, and more.

I'm glad she had a nice day, she deserves it.
