All is revealed!

Those readers possessed of a specially sensitive and caring nature may have passed sleepless nights a couple of months ago as they agonised over the problems I was experiencing whilst trying to insert pictures and fancy text into the teaser of "An Eft in Her Bra."

Such exceptional souls may recall that Bobbie offered to compile an idiot's guide for those, such as myself, to whom computers and all associated with them are shrouded in a malignant mist.

Last Message from Goldie Hunter

I received the following message to day from Goldie's sister. I thought I would pass it on to you all.
Jerrie

Jerrie,
It took a while to find the story you mentioned. Goldie's filing system was really weird and it took forever to find it. I've attached it to this message. While I was trying to take care of everything in her computer, I came across a letter she had written to you a week and a half before she died. I thought I would add it to this message and let you get it that way.

Life and challenges and sadness and joy

I wanted to thank everyone for their love and kindness to me the last few months. As many of you may know, I only started writing this year, and that has been so wonderful and rich and special. You may also know about my tremor disorder and the challenges I've faced, along with my wife's health this year.

You may know about my most recent challenge; diagnosed with PTSD after memories of being sexually abused along with my sis by a family member when we were little.

About critique and civility.

I’ve been thinking of some comments written in my ‘comment section’, and, yes I was less than thrilled. Oh, I’m a big boy now, I can take it, but? To my eyes they are just stories and you neither have to hate nor love them. I mean, it’s not as you’re going to bed them, are you? Most of my stories spring from experiences, either directly or ‘second handed’ through others experiences and life’s, but as for the truth of them? Well, somewhere I expect they have happened, or possibly will, probability alone almost guarantees it. More than that I won't offer..

I need opinions here.

I have a few short story ideas I'd like to throw about. They are transformational gender-bent stories that have, admittedly, taken a little time away from Accidental Magic. though some are just random ideas made into small vignettes and mostly unfinished...

(Most of) My house is finally finished!!

I know this is hopelessly off topic, but...

A year and a half ago, at just a hair over 40, I ended my adult lifetime of apartment dwelling and bought a very cheap rather small house.

I started renovations right away; had my tenant move out (I shared the whole house with him,our own bedrooms, but other than that, totally sharing).

Here's what all got done (if anybody is even remotely interested);

Hey Everyone! As most folks who've read any of my stories knows I write mostly Sci-Fi or Fantasy based stories. While at the Sci-Fi writers site today I spotted this article and since it's about writing decided that is would be okay to post here. Penny's From Heaven

A few days ago we had a discussion on this board about GLBT and its in-fighting.

Thanks are due to Erin for allowing this discussion to continue, even though it was frought with peril. Thanks are also due to all those who took part in a civil discourse regarding an important issue.

After thought, I felt a need to clear my remarks publicly.

I said, "No . . . Penny. Your anger shouldn't be aimed at those who lump you in with gays. Your anger should be at those who have saddled you with the prejudice that makes you feel upset that you are considered gay."

The Witch's Tarot - the final chapter

To all of you who are in the least bit interested, I have sent the final chapter to Gabi for her to pass her magic wand over and as soon as it is returned, dusted and ready, I will be posting it.

Now last time this happened, I felt foolish as I assumed Gabi would return it within about two and a half minutes--as she usually does, but it didn't happen. So this time, when she's done, you'll get it, alright?

Sorry, Everyone...

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to apologize for my sudden and extended absences over this past year, and hopefully try to shed a little light on things. This isn't an excuse, mind you. I know the internet is by its very nature very transitory, but I feel like if I'm ever going to get past this, I need to get it out in the open somewhere that I feel safe in doing so.

It's been a really interesting year for me. I feel like I've grown and learned so much about myself since that fateful first blog post nearly a year ago. But at the same time it's been quite rough.

I am terribly sorry for this afternoon's nuclear weapon. There are some things really bothering me and I just senselessly lashed out at anything close. I just wish I could sit down and cry and I will but my brain isn't ready to do it.

The TD Aldonetti thing, the killing of the officers near Seattle, the Fort Hood thing, and several other things plus the fact that I am sick and have been since mid September and worrying about my adoptive children, and any other lame ass thing I can think of are making be act like a bitch!

Just a comment about the 4 officers killed in Parkland, WA

Hi all,
I realize this is not really related to Big Closet/Top Shelf stories, but I had to write it out, just to clear my mind of the tragedy.
This is my first attempt at a blog ever, so I will be brief.
As I knew two of the officers very well; I was, to say the least, astonished and am totally in grief about it.
The woman officer and the Sgt were the two I knew, as they used to come to my jail to pick up prisoners we had for them. I wish many condolences to their families and I do know that they are in a much better and peaceful place now.

New (dodgy) gender differences research

Men's genes 'may limit lifespan'
Men carry the seeds of their own destruction in the genes present in their sperm, research suggests. Scientists working on mice have highlighted a specific gene that, although carried by both sexes, appears to be active only in males. They believe it allows males to grow bigger bodies - but at the expense of their longevity. The study, by Tokyo University of Agriculture, appears in the journal Human Reproduction.

I'm not sure many of you have paid it any attention over the last few months but Goldie Hunter has not frequented the forum for months. The sad news is that Goldie has passed on and is no longer with us. I just barely found out myself. She was a private person although her love for the Whateley universe allowed her to interact with others about it.

I may be impatient but, whatever happened to the "Homecoming Queen" series, "The Feminizer... " series and the series where a boy is transformed into a girl to spy on a secret group of scientists (It's been so long, I've lost the name of the series...Sorry)

I do try to follow series and stick with them but when there's such a long space of time, I kind of lose track...This is not a flame, just a question. If these won't be back, just let us all know and we can move on. I stuck with "Changes" and "No Half Measures" because their updates were frequent.

A friendly inquiry.

Hi,

I wanted to share a few photos with everyone. I rarely take pictures of myself while dressed. However, I love to take pictures of myself and edit them to make me look more feminine. It's great fun for me, and is a nice outlet.

As I tell others, you can still have a beard and be feminine and pretty. One need not be passable, or think of gender in terms of male and female.

Please, enjoy!

We Shall Be Free

There is line from one of my favorite Garth Brooks songs called "We Shall Be Free" It says "When we're free to love anyone we choose. When this world's big enough for all different views. When we're all free to worship from our own kind of pew. We shall be free". This idea should have been in evidence here before some people let nasty comments ruin the free expression of opinion. Getting to the point of offense is very sad for everyone involved . We live in a country where we are free to express opinions.

It's not an intellectual reaction, exactly, but more of an emotional one on my part. It seems like some horrid level of overkill. We're having some problems with the Drupal software, it seems that stories above about 30,000 words or so are not being properly processed. In order to be reasonably sure you don't run into the problem, try to keep your story segments to no more than about 20,000 words for safety. If it's only a bit over that, go ahead and try but some older stories that are larger than 30,000 words are also having problems.
