Has anyone recently had problems logging in to BC? For the last 3 or 4 days I haven't been able to open the site using http://bigcloset.ateros.com/newstuff/index.html. (That is what the computer calls up when I start typing Big....) Just to check, I went to acouple of other sites and clicked on the link to BC and they didn't seem to work either.
Did anyone watch the Today Show this morning? They ran a segment on a 5 year old boy who likes to wear sparkly pink dresses and do other "girl" things. He started this when he was about 2. His mother said that she was uncomfortable with this at first and tried to distract him with saying "Why don't you play with this truck?" or other "boy" toys. After a while his older brother asked "Why can't you just let him be happy?" (Out of the mouths of babes!!) The mother then realised that this was HER problem and not his, and now supports him.
I wish to offer my sincerest apologies to all of the authors here on BC. I have been a member here for almost 40 weeks, and have been a visitor for several years. Up until now I have been a “lurker”, reading stories and not voting or commenting on any stories that I like or dislike. I have read the blogs, and generally scan the comments at the end of stories, without adding anything of my own. (Though I have started to vote for stories that I like). I truly enjoy this site and most of the stories that are posted here, I like the community feeling and mutual support that is offered.
Yesterday I was reading a story from the Random 5olos list and had to leave before I was finished. My brain has vapor locked and I cannot remember the story title nor the author. It was about a 13 year old withdrawn boy who goes to stay with his aunt in California and reveals to her that he is a girl inside. If anyone can help I would be thankful.
