I have noticed some FtM story activity and wondered who wrote them. If an actual FtM wrote them then I would like to say welcome. My one time therapist was one and we got along well, but curiously as soon as I moved on, he won't even say hi on the street now. Hmmmm. Most of you that I have met are very pleasant and youthful people.

Therapists outside of the office...
My therapist commented that he saw me at the Bristol Store, but he didn't say 'hi' because that could cause a violation in privacy rights. After all, someone who knows that he's a therapist may be able to deduce that I'm a patient.
I keep forgetting how paranoid our society is.
Well, if you can believe it, several people think I am a therapist. ROTFLMAO. :) I've had two different women approach me for apointments. One of my friends says it is because of all the shit I lived through.

I don't know, the world it too bizarre for me at times.
I walked into the bank on Friday to set up an account to make donations to my Mosque, and when I got to the counter, just as I was removing my sun glasses, the teller said to me, in such a nasty way, "You need to remove your Sun Glasses!" GAH, I was just doin' it!
I told her she was being really mean, and she said, "We just need to make sure that you are not a Bank Robber." I was so shocked that I just left.
When I got hold of myself, I went back in to the bank and told the teller that she needed to work on her customer service. Before I knew it, another woman was stupidly telling me, "It is policy". Where do they get these people?
I can tell you now, that with my hijab on, there is zero chance that I get tumbled as a Twoman. It never happens. So the question demands an answer! :)
I'll never know, because when I got really pissed, I called customer service at their head office in the mid west, and they were not that receptive either until I said I was calling to plod!
Then they got their very solicitous, fire putter outter on the line and when I explained it, she was very interested, especially when I told her that a better solution would have been to just put signs up in the store saying, "All patrons must remove their sun glasses".
The idea that Muslims are alarming to them is just bogus, because just across the street is a coffee shop called AVA, and its patronige is mainly Muslims at certain hours of the day. This may yet go to the ACLU.

You're Muslim, AND trans? I didn't think Islam allowed for that (or at least that's what my Eastern Religions professor taught me in college.). Would you mind explaining it to me? I don't want to sound rude or anything. I just want to better understand you, your culture, and religion. It's the only way, after all, one can ever live peacefully in the world. If I can learn as much as I can about others, then I won't be bigoted or say or do offensive things out of ignorance. I Have a Close Friend
who is a Transman. (It is ironic that we have both swapped genders!) He is working hard at being macho, while I'm striving to be feminine. However, he stunned me last week with the announcement that he loved his new panties! I about fell down, but then realized he still has his girly parts. He has had a mastectomy and is rather proud of his new "pecs." But, Panties? Thought I was the one who is supposed to wear them!
