I'm having trouble figuring out my ex. Yesterday, after the Christmas do at my brother's, I took my daughter home, and since I didn't have to work, I came into my ex's house for a bit. While I'm there, my ex starts playing with my hair, complimenting me on its softness and length, and making suggestions to help cover up my bald spot. Then today, when I was dropping off my daughter, she noticed I now have pink gloves, and gave me the third degree for their color. Like I said, she confuses me.

Well, classes are over for the semester. That is a great relief as two classes I was taking gave me an incredible level of stress that totally sapped my creative juices. The good news is that I have a month to catch up on writing before new classes start. So I aim to have new 300 Rains, new The Journey is the Destination and hopefully some Whateley. That will be nice if I can pull that off.

But no more classes at the moment! Whee!

I often worry that as I write almost entirely in the first person, my characters would end up becoming, to be honest, 'me' and all the same. It is a difficult one to judge, because in writing said lead role I tend to be doing it by the 'method'. Annie is me, Gillian is me, Steph shared more than a name while I brought her to life. What surprised me, however, was a remark at work.

Two of my colleagues are reading the dead-tree version of 'Uniforms'and one of them passed a comment after Chapter 2.

A couple of months ago my MS took a swing at the optic nerve in my left eye, blinding it. This wouldn't normally be disastrous except my right eye has always been very weak. I haven't been able to read since except by a magnifying 300 per cent on the monitor. I have regained a small amount of sight in my left eye, but all that's done is given me doubled vision.

Well, Christmas at my brothers went pretty well. My daughter had a lot of fun decorating their tree, and then we made marshmallow snowmen while sipping hot chocolate. So what if I didnt get to wear a pretty Christmas dress?

I can't beleive I am still going strong on this story, nor that the words just seem to flow filling the page fast, I haven;t even gotten to the first date yet and Im probably already at 6k words.

My uncle passed this evening from heart failure. He was my dad's second oldest brother and had suffered from the effects of Agent Orange for many years. My problem is this, I want to be there to support my cousins who know I have transitioned and mostly haven't had a problem about it. The rest of my dad's side are the ones I am worried about. They are mostly strict Southern Baptist and Pentecostal and they do not like anything that doesn't conform to their narrow minded view of the world.

What I'm going to do here is take us all on a short photographical journey down memory lane, presenting - though old photographs - the path of destruction I'd been on before finally facing myself. I'm going to start in High School, since that's really where things started to escalate.

If you've followed my occasional ramblings over the past couple of years, you may remember I once embarked on the foolish quest to compose a spreadsheet containing summaries of all the "Bike" episodes, together with some other relevant background information.

PS and I worked together to get the first 1,000 done, then I largely took over until the 1280s whereby my life got busier and I fell behind.

Let me just start by saying, I haven’t abandoned writing :-) I just caught a bad case of real-life recently that just won’t let go. The short version is, I’ve been sick, and my hard drive as well as backup external HDD both died on me, so I’ve been the last two weeks either lying in bed, or drugged out of my gourd on strong cold medicine while simultaneously trying to recover any data that wasn’t backed up online somewhere (Thank GOD all my stories were recently backed up on GDocs or I’d be totally screwed right now :-P)

I have to work all this week, so most likely, I wont get to chapter 4 till next week.

So, I see in the news this morning that the roll out for the XXX web sites is today. I wonder, with some trepidation, who gets to choose who gets that designation? Fro those with that designation, will it be like a dead albatross around the neck of the hapless sailor, or will it be like honey for ants?

I don't plan to let my virus guard regulate my contact with those sites; it is for me to decide.

The article seems uncertain about the nature of the food to be served, though concentrated more on the cutsey titles of songs for the dishes. I thought that given the association with the Beach Boys, all the desert around Vegas, that they would surely sell the Sand-Which-is there! And with the name of the resturant, they could do a good sideline in sex toys -- Good Vibrations ought to sell a lot of those, especially if monogramed!! LOL

Well, I'm going to be stuck in boy mode tonight, as my daughter and I will be going over to my brother's place and helping them trim the tree. It was really nice of them to think of inviting my daughter, so I'll keep the girl stuff to a minimum.

I wrote a story this week which is in the "let it stew" stage. As I should, I used spell check and discovered some alleged mistakes in my writing. One of the sentences I wrote said, "So, I watched him and her together wishing I was her." Spell check said, "...wishing I was she." The disputed word is an object of the sentence fragment, not the subject ("I" is the subject of the fragment). therefore "her" is correct.

Moral: use "Spell Check" but also use your brain. "Spell Check" is only a computer program.

I was reading some of the other blogs yesterday and I read one that seem to get how I feel. I can not remember who exactly it was anymore. I feel like I am a girl in a boy's body, but I do like to have the body I am in at times. So I am not confuse about somethings, but I am confuse on what I discovered about myself. That does not seem right at all. Is it just so I can relax or is it just in my mind. I just do not know at all.

I just thought I'd let anyone know who may be interested in following my stories that I will be posting the story 'Christine's Love' in four parts with the first part going up today. I have several, what I consider would be my 'behemoth' (in size) stories that I want to migrate to BigCloset | TopShelf. These will take awhile and I thank you for your patience.

I have had a tough week. I started training for my new job with the IRS last Monday and had to take a very difficult test on Thursday to advance in my training. I failed the test and was disqualified for further training. I am once again trying to figure out where to go from here. Added to that, I am being blamed by my mother because we had to sign up for a new phoneline and DSL for my Home Office and we got a bill for that that was far more than the agreed upon amount.We signed up for a bundle plan through AT&T that included the new line, DSL and DirecTV in one plan for $97 a month.

It's rush rush, rush for me.... I have eight, full-length novels in the later stages of development, all I wanted to finish before Christmas, as well as trying to get all my works onto Kindle to clear the decks. Then there are the short story competitions, of which I have entered nine new stories, all written over the last seven days. Then I've got my decaying parents... just give me an hour in a darkened room each evening, and I'll be fine. I promise.
My apologies in advance, I don't think I'll meet my self appointed deadlines, but I shall try.

Just transferred chapter 1 of Mares Talers over from FM.

I'm carrying on with Mermaid but frankly there are virtually no comments these days so I'm winding it up after a few more brief chapters. Frankly, I think I'm getting a bit stale and this is reflected in the paucity of comments. I'm also running short of ideas after 197 story chapters on FM plus whatever here on BC.

Had another of my patentable weird dreams. This one was about a fictional high school in Malibu known by the nickname of Surfer High. In the dream, I was pitching this as a cable TV show.

One of the exec types says, "I like what you've done there, with the double meaning in the title. It's not a double entendre unless it's dirty, right?"

I want to work on chapter 4 of mistaken girl.....after I finish writing this little story for someone else.

Also want to get out to wally world during the day for some catfood and another can of paint. Maybe some makeup ill see. That is gonna take a huge effort though as Im scared.

I just saw this on FM, and felt it should be passed along. Anne McCaffrey, author of the Dragonriders of Pern novels, as well as many, many more, has gone between. She passed away at her home, Dragonhold, in County Wicklow, Ireland, on November 21st, after suffering a stroke. That's pretty much all I can say right now, I'm having trouble seeing through the tears.

There may be a delay in the next few parts, as I am working on a Christmas tale. It is 'Cold Feet at Christmas', which should say all that needs be said for those who read my stuff. There will be music, there will be dancing, and beer, and love.

I wonder if any of the males on "Strictly Come Dancing" or "Dancing with the Stars" would be brave enough to follow in the footsteps of Zac Hammer here... :)

Well, last night was kind of a mixed day. First, just before we started, I said to one of the other girls, "Shoot. I forgot to bring my boobs" By which I mean the little inserts that I use to give me some shape. She started laughing, and said, "Sorry, Dorothy. I just thought there are days when I wish I could forget mine at home."

Where has the past year gone? I don't feel any older - can I demand a recount?

Had my hair cut, bought myself a birthday cake - an apple and custard turnover, which I shall have for elevenses. Watch the rugby between Wales and Australia this afternoon and go and see my daughter and my ex tomorrow.

Could be worse, it was last year, it snowed.

I was looking over my latest post, Through the years: Two against the world part 4 and found a clickable link in the post. I didn't put it there, but it was there, i removed it though. Now I found one in Pink angel as well. Not sure what's going on, but it's like ads have gotten into the posts.

This one was one of those stories that went in a different direction once I actually started writing it. Once I saw one of these angels at my work, using one as a springboard to a story just seemed natural. The only question was, what kind of story?

I was looking over my last couple of posts and found I had posted the wrong file for Rae Summers: A New Beginning Chapter 12 I posted the file with my outline for the last chapter rather than the one that ended where it does now will try to get out The Finale soon

Can it possibly be four (4) years ago that I signed up for an account here - so I could start posting my first story (Who Was I - and before any of you go look - it's filled with typos and other related errors). I thank the two ladies who convinced me to start writing and then start posting here.

Here I am on a recruiting mission once again. For those of you who don't know, I started a universe back in October based on supernatural beings. Its called the DarkRealms Universe and show far up to this point its been mainly centered on vampires. I have a lot of gifted and very talented writers already writing in it but more are welcome. I've kicked things up a notch too now by introducing the concept of Weres into the universe. This doesn't have to be just Wolves either as you'll see as my new story progresses. I'm even open to other ideas as well, other supernatural beings.

I hate muses. Can someone PLEASE tell this muse to leave me in peace. I cannot seem to be able to read more than a paragraph of any story. No this this thing insists I continue to write. I can't play my games, nor watch a movie, nor even sleep. Tis not fair!

Well, I just got home from seeing the gender specialist. He's going to send a letter to my work asking them to respect me enough to include my female name on my name tag. Otherwise, things are going well. I told him about my flashbacks, and he gave me a prescription for Ativan to help me calm myself if I'm having one. I dont know about meds, but it might be better than trying to handle it on my own.

I came so close. I was only able to wite 48,500 words for NaNoWriMo

It was the week of Thanksgiving that killed it. I had to spend so much time with family and food that I wasn't able to write.

My spouse would kill me if I suggested that I try again next year. I guess I was missed.

I did get a LOT written. 8 chapters of HaP are done, but not exactly edited. and I finshed off Nano.

Hope you give 'Healing a Princess' a chance. I see that some people are reading it. I just wish that they would give a little feed back even though it isn't a TG story.

Got the internet straightened out so we can go online again. The newest Through the years is up now and I'm working the kinks out of the next couple as I type.

I had a very interesting conversation this morning. I am finishing up a graduate degree at a local university. This morning while waiting for a class to start, a girl I know pretty well from my program comes up to me and asked me "Listen, this might be a bit forward but can I ask you something kind of personal? You can say no of course, but I'm curious." Of course it's rarely good when someone opens a conversation like that, but not totally new to me. I have a very obvious physical disability, so I get curious people brave enough to come ask a few questions from time to time.

Just letting anyone who wants to know know that I juts edited a teeny bit of the preface to The Opposing Fates. It's nothing big, don't worry. I don't think anyone will even notice it... hopefully!

Just returned from a conference for trans issues in the workplace. Light refreshments provided, lots of networking, and many, many transmen and women to share experiences and advice with. Still buzzing!

For many many years now I have had similar dreams from time to time.

It always starts in familiar place which then turns more and more unknown till I'm complete lost and wake up.

In one version I'm in school or college with my classmates and after some time I don't recognice the rooms and floors any more and don't find my way back.

In another one I'm parking my car in my home town and visit some places with friends or family. Then towards the end I cannot find the street with my car or search all around the parking garage before waking up.
