I have a request - just drop a note here as a comment, rather than a PM.

I've written a _very_ short story - 392 words - for the Horror contest.

You see, I decided to look at the audience, and try to build upon true horror, rather than using traditional elements. Unfortunately, the story might be a bit 'over the top' for a lot of the people here. (it's also written more in the older Ray Bradbury/Golden Age SF style, although it's not SF)

Well, on Oct 12, I came into my workplace in full femme. Essentially, I've started my real life test, even though I have no intention of getting SRS.

This actual process was this:

I told my immediate supervisor about my TG status on teh first day. I told him that he could share it with those who HAD to know, HR, his manger, the team lead that I was with, but that if he didn't pass it around it would be good.
At the same time, I started wearing more makeup, wearing girl's jeans and sometimes tops, sports bras which couldn't hide the budding breasts.

Trying to recall a story

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Author:

I can't remember the title, or the writer but it was set in England and had a guy who at first thought he wanted to be a woman, then near the end he just liked dressing up, also had a part where other guys were trying to out him or get pictures of him on the news and he managed to get them caught by the news people. and he was a teenager I think. I'd go through the teen/high school listing, but that list is huge

what the heck was that story?

Well, I wanted to mention the generous people who seem to come my way. At the TS group meeting, I got a new wig, a new purse, and a book on clothes and makeup tips for trans people. Then my neighbor gave me two seasons of "The L - Word" to watch. That, plus how amazing my co-workers have been about this whole thing really is a fantastic gift in its own right, and that's not even counting all the support I get here as well. I am so blessed, and so grateful.

I stumbled upon a site that mentioned a site I didn't recall by name.

Story Site This is of course "Crystal's" storysite but I didn't recall at the time so I clicked on the link.

I was quite disappointed when the site didn't load so I googled it.

so I tried the links in google but it was surely down.

Has anyone heard if Storysite finally died or is crystal working on it?

A news update would be appreciated.

Afraid of how people who don't or can't understand will treat me. Afraid of change. Someone replied to Heather's entry about losing her pet that it's a bit of a "system shock", after 16 years, suddenly losing a dear friend and companion, her dog. I kind of think that's what's happening to me now.

Four Years At BCTS

Four years ago I was getting up my nerve to sign on to BCTS. I found this to be such a warm and friendly place. Oh, there were a few soreheads and curmudgeons around; however, they were few and far between. A little more than three years ago, I decided to take the plunge and post the story I had spent several years writing. It was badly edited and proofed (by me); however, it was well received. Thankfully, Holly Hart took me under her wing. I posted two more stories before prostate cancer and some severely botched surgery knocked me on my rear for several months.

Because I was still wearing my wig from work when she saw me. Right now, my only hope is that it didn't register with her, or WW III will start ahead of schedule ...

She was, "Weren't you supposed to meet with him at church today?"

Request for thoughts

I am working on a story that is set in Denise's QT Diaries universe. It is the back story for a couple of characters that will appear in her next story release (Ep. V).

This involves an extremely rare case of twin QTs. The two are not originally even related, but are genetically 'merged' in the transformation.

One of the gained characteristics is 'twin speak', the non-verbal communication that twins use. I am thinking of portraying it as a limited form of telepathy, but am open to suggestions.

I just read a story series that was well plotted, well thought, a good read and... it made me fracking angry. Not at the author, not at the ideas presented, but at the concept of behaviour modification and ego death. The idea of 'We don't like how you think, so we will change the way you think'.

Congratulations ! Is it a boy or a girl ?

A recent BBC documentary takes an in-depth look at the question. Are there more than the two designated genders?

The documentary takes an in depth look at the inter-sexed condition. Apparently they are as common as the birth of twins or even those born with red hair. (These stats. say 1/50 chance. The birth of of inter-sexed babies are more common than most are aware of. Due to the shame and stigma it is not admitted to by the parents.

I personally always wished I was born with obscure genitals as it would be physical proof when I argued against my designated maleness.

For those who read it, Through the years has suffered a slight hiccup. My computer decided that it would die, while I was in hte process of working on part 20. I lost it all, plus two other story ideas I had open. I usually save it to my portable hard drive (i mean who wouldn't, it's got like 1 T of space to save things on) but before I could get to that point, the computer gave up the fight.

So I am trying my best to re-write the story to where I had it

Storysite Malfunctioning Now

I do check regularly, and yesterday night and this morning noticed that the Storysite that Crystal seems to have abandonned has developed new malfunctions - you can get the home page byt if you click on Stories, nothing happens, it just goes blank. Same for Poetry Corner. So unless she notices and repairs it, I guess that is it. A sad loss, which many of us regret.

I'm less than a week from having been a member of this fine site for five years - can you believe it?

I just wanted to say thanks to Erin and her fine band of pixies that do their doin's keeping the place together. Also, thanks to all the kind people I have met, who take the time and trouble to read my gobbledegook, perhaps even clicking the Kudos button, dropping me a comment or both.

Here's to another five :)

What story is this?

Trying to remember a story I read a while back:

It was about a boy who became a cheerleader and had a slumber party with them, where it was revealed that the football teams performance was based on the cheerleaders performing services for them before games. It was then revealed that the star quarterback was gay, and it would be up to the boy to help "get him ready" for the game.

Other tidbits:
-the boy had a twin sister, who would be given a spot on the cheerleading squad if the boy performed his task

Take to flight, like a foolish angel!

(Lines from Yuki Kajiura's "Fiction", title song of the album that "Open Your Heart" is contained on.)

Today was an eventful day. Chose my new name this morning - Abigail Drew - shared it with my older brother at work, and towards the end of the day I finally got up the nerve to do something real major: Talk to my bishop. By the end of my meeting with him, I'd worked up the nerve to do something even more major: Set a date for telling the family.

I though it would be cool to find out where everyone is from, I think someone already did this but still...

Also I'm from Sydney, Australia and I was wondering if anyone from this site who lives nearby might want to meet face to face, if so PM me.

As a reminder, 'Neath Quicksilver's Moon will be unpublished today. It will be submitted for eBook publication tomorrow on both Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble, but both outfits "vet" their submissions before final publication, so I can't guarantee when they'll appear. I'll supply a link to each venue when they do appear.

Film following the journey and the prejudice encountered along the way of gay couple Sam and Evan as they undergo the process of changing their bodies from female to male.

BBC3 tonight at 9.00pm.

According to the Guardian, they look to move to Manchester in the hope of finding more acceptance than they get in Rochdale. I wish them luck.

Save As?

Is there any way to copy the attributes and keywords for Part 1 of my serial into subsequent parts?

In MS Word, I would simply open "Part 1", Save As "Part 2", delete all the text, paste in the new text and re-save. I would then have two files titled "Part 1" and "Part 2" with identical attributes.

At the moment, I go through the whole set-up sequence, trying to remember what keywords I set for Part 1, to repeat in subsequent Parts. It seems a long-winded process.

Just the two of them.

And would be interested in setting up a situation of mutual benefit?

I'm planning on buying a professional "home" electrolysis kit and doing my own permanent hair removal without the expense of repeated trips to a true professional. However, there're areas that I can't reach very easily that I could use help doing.

The kit I'm looking at is: The Aavexx 500

I started today as a victim, tonight I'm a survivor

I don't post here often, apart from my stories, preferring instead to write directly. I try not to post if I don't have something important to say.

My mom suffers from short-term memory problems. Things that happened an hour ago she may or may not remember; things from years ago she remembers as clearly as anyone else.
