is it acceptable

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

I am currently writing my first Christmas story of the year (one that I never posted but wrote a while ago) and had a question.

The main character in the story is a 16yo transsexual and there seems to be a lot of sexual content in the middle of the story. Unfortunately the fact that the character is 16 is vital to the plot line or the easy thing to do would be to make him/her 18. Now I know in the real world sex with a minor is illegal, but in story form you see it often. My question is, would this be appropriate to put up on BC/TS

This has to be the happiest day I can remember in 7 years. I got the results for a medical test (Karyotype) I had last week and I am officially in the ranks of the AIS. Which means that I can be declared officially a woman in the eyes of a certain organisation.

When I can get my feet back on the floor, I have to run out to the doctor's office to sign the release for the Doctor to share it with the office of the Presidency. This means a great deal to me. Please share in my joy!

Much peace

Also, I tend to be a little forgetful so if you don't hear from me in a while it might be a good idea to give me a good poking.

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Well, I survived my brother's birthday party. I love my brother, but I have been finding it increasingly hard to be around him with his and my sister-in-laws rejection of my transition. The use of my male name, the total silence if I bring up anything to do with my transition, it just wears on me. I was going to get him a gender-neutral card, but decided he could just deal with the fact I'm his sister for once, and got a nice card from a sister to her brother for him instead. He did thank me for it, but I got the distinct impression he was ignoring that part of the card. Ah, well.

This has to be one of the most bizarre cases I've ever read. Boyfriend didn't want children so used condoms. Girlfriend did so saved the sperm they contained, cryogenically preserved them, then at a later date defrosted the little wrigglers and had twins via IVF. Unsurprisingly, when the ex-boyfriend found out, he wasn't exactly pleased...

Ex-girlfriend hid sperm and used for in-vitro pregnancy: suit

Where do you see your life in five years? how about ten? Could you craft a story about a typical day for you five or ten years from now? Its just a fun little challenge, but if enough of us participate, maybe we could make a "mega story" where we connect all the stories collected together.

Just wanted to say that I've dipped my toe in the waters at Stardust. Some PMs have asked about early writings and so I've posted "Cross-Country". It's kinder and gentler, in keeping with Stardust policies, and it's one of my earlier TG stories. Re-reading before posting surprised me about some of the tropes and elements I've used later, but there are still some nice people in it. If you have comments or critiques, let me know here on BCTS rather than Stardust because I'm more comfortable with the BCTS system.

Enjoy the story!

Perhaps I am a little naive...but when did raping a child become the fault of anyone other than the rapist?

No "natural" girl will ever know what that feels like, to be "tolerated" like I'm some crazy person that no one has the energy to argue with.

It started when I got home from work at 7 am, and got into the only male dress outfit I have - pants. dress shirt, and suit jacket, and waited until it was time to pick up my ex and my daughter. Once we got there, we found out we had a couple of hours to wait until the ceremony, but my ex had to get into the line, so I started to wish I had grabbed a nap before we left, as I found being on my feet for that long rather tough.

She now lives in NY city, so possibly might have some sort of plastic surgery eventually. If we tend to feel dissatisfaction with our physical appearance, imagine what she goes through every time she looks in a mirror.

I have read a little about the new Stop Online Piracy Act bill and it seems disturbing. Just with a letter or a compliant by someone they could threaten any site. They cant take it down per say but it may as well have if they can force google and any search engine to remove the said site with just a letter, cut the site from its ad revenue. And there seems to be more to it than that but its above my feeble understanding of how the web works. BUt they can all do this without any judge being involved or finding anyone guilty.

My small contribution

I read Dorothy Colleen's entry called "A Tapestry of Stars" earlier today and I felt compelled to share something with you all. Before I do, I need to explain something. Every star on the tapestry mentioned in that story represent all of the TG men and women who have been murdered for being who they really are in the area the story takes place in.

Geneticists gone wild!

Hiyo! your favourite little old News Agrigator Me, with sciency stuff on Physical Sex development... a fascinating read from Boing Boing.

Gender isn’t a simple thing. A person can be male, female, both, neither, and more–and that identity doesn’t have to have anything to do with the particular genital plumbing they were born with.

But the plumbing itself–the biological sex, rather than gender or socio-cultural sex–is also a lot more complicated (and interesting) than we often give it credit for.

I make a habit of haunting our local Salvation Army resale store, as well as several other second hand stores. Wednesdays, at the local Sally's Boutique (our nickname for the Salvation Army store) are half price days on clothes and shoes, and some really good finds can be garnered.

feeling sick

Well, today I'm feeling super sick. I have a headache, feel like I'm running a fever, and I have thrown up once already this morning. Not only that, my daughter is home sick with her mom, having missed the last couple of days of school, so whatever it is must be going around. I hoped I could do some writing today, but ah, well.

For taking so long to post the final chapter of Assassin. As most of you know I've been fighting a battle with cancer and I think I've won that battle. Things though have had me puzzled. I wonder if the chemo and radiation effect the brain enough to not want to write. I would put off writing and just read stories. My Kindle wasn't any help at all except to help me with my writing when I was able. I found Lee Child and became an addict. His descriptions of an event or scene are incredible.

School has been keeping me pretty focused and that has gotten in the way of my writing. Not a fan of that. Just how annoying do things have to be? Really? I just want to write some in order to relax, as that helps me out a lot more than most any other type of stress relief. Granted I am a weird dork for that but I am fairly okay with that.

Poetry page?

I notice, for me, poetry doesn't rack up the hits. I think I understand why. People come here to read stories. But, I wonder, is it a good idea to have a poetry only site for TG authors. The poems wouldn't have to be TG in nature, but if there were enough interest I may want to try a shot at webhosting,

waiting for help

Well, the one possibly good thing that came out my dinner with my brother was that he is sending my email contact info and my story "I am Nine years Old" to his friend who works with abused kids. Its possible he will be able to help me, but its really hard to wait for him to get a hold of me.

When negative comments come.

Much to my utter dismay, AS IF, someone took exception to something I wrote and it made me feel quite sad. So, I took my utter sadness to a published author who I know has taken a great deal of criticism and gone on living. I did not actually think I would get a reply very soon, if at all, but at least I had tried.

Much to my astonishment, I received a reply within hours! What was said felt so profound to me that I decided to share it here, though I left the confidential part out:

Heard this on BBC Radio 4 this morning while I was having a shower (I rise late now I don't need to go to work :) ) Evan Davies is investigating 'Deception' as a topic and in this case he's interviewing Penny, a MtF TS about how she felt compelled to hide her true nature for so long. It's a very sympathetic treatment which seems to reflect the experience of many here from what I've read.

She was born in 1951, 11 years after me, so I know only too well the atmosphere and attitude of the general public to unconventional gender and sexual conditions, for want of a better phrase.
