Some of you may have heard about the Troy, MI mayor's comment on her Facebook page that came out last week last week. Janice Daniels, the recently-elected mayor, posted this on her FB page back in June: “I think I am going to throw away my I Love New York carrying bag now that queers can get married there.”
Amid calls for her resignation, a lesbian couple came to the city council meeting along with their two daughters to address Mayor Daniels. This is a very inspiring video clip of a really classy woman taking the high road while teaching a very valuable lesson. Please follow the link and play the clip, it's well worth your time.

There is a another news item on that page, to the right of the video, that the mayor lost her job at Century 21 From the article" "Her boss at Century 21 indicated that he can have, 'no one in his company, either employee or independent contractor, who would be capable of such insensitivity to the LGBT community, or to anyone for that matter.'â€
There are honorable people out there.
